The laces are crap. They fall apart quickly. (I've had others like this.) And then it's impossible to find equally nice laces. Why doesn't Zappos sell replacement laces? Charge a premium to make it worth your while. See what happens.

I love these shoes. I need a good pair of walking shoes for my urban area. Regular walking shoes just don't cut it. I found the width on the extra wide just a little smaller than expected, but overall it's a great fit.

My husband liked the Moab Waterproof so well, he wanted a shoe built on the same last. These work very well. Only downside is they are not very breathable, and his feet have a tendency to sweat.

Shoes were stiff and tended to push my feet to the outside.

Wish I could have kept these shoes. Fit well but somewhat hard sole. Replaced insole with one with a little more cushion in the metatarsal area - however in made the toe box too tight.

The show looks great, fits correctly but lacks any cushion. That might be fine for trails but not good for concrete.

I liked these shoes a lot at first. They broke in quickly and have been a comfortable shoe. I liked the looks as well. I've only had them about 7 months though. They have since developed a squeak when I walk. It's now loud enough and so annoying that I can no longer wear them. Not what I would consider an excellent life for the shoe. Too bad, as they still look nice and are comfortable.

First off, I am a serial Merrell guy. I absolutely loved the Merrell "Sight" - especially in Black, when they were available. I bought the "Moab Rover" because the "Sight" isn't available any more. I waited several weeks to formulate this review. The "Moab Rover" by comparison to the "Sight," feels clunkier and seems to position me higher off the ground. Generally not the total comfort my previous three "Sight" pairs have given me. I don't hate it, but I seem to be reverting to my old beat up pairs of "Sights" pretty frequently...disappointed.

Shoes fit a little big, would not purchase again. Shoes do not fit as well as other Merrell's I have purchased. Style is okay. I have a wide foot and purchased a wide but they do not fit well as my Teva's or my Keen's.

The best I can do is damn the Merrell Moab Rovers with faint praise. They are average in about every way. Wearing them around the house for a couple of days, the Merrells were comfortable in a neutral way, but had a prominent ka-klunk ka-klunk heel-toe transition on hard floors. This was annoying, but I assumed they were meant for rocky trails where the clunkiness would be less noticeable. Besides, we had a trip to Death Valley and Zion looming, and I ran out of time. During our trip, we went on many hikes over all kinds of terrain. I alternated between the Moab Rovers and a pair of Altra Lone Peak 2’s. The Moab Rovers suffered in the comparison. The Altra’s were better in every condition; hard rock, sand, scrambling, gravel roads. At the end of the day, I could not wait to get the Merrells off my feet, where the Altras were as comfortable after a long hike as they were when I put them on. The Merrells were stiff and barely cushioned, and not particularly grippy on hard rock. Unfortunately, this sort of thing does not manifest itself during a test drive at home. These shoes might be serviceable for some, but they were a $110 mistake for me.

These shoes are very sturdy and comfortable. The only downside is my feet sweat in them even with a thin sock. I'm not impressed.

Pleased overall with this waterproof approach shoe. I wore them in London and Venice over the holidays and they held up well and were quite comfortable, sturdy and supportive. Except for one thing—the insole is complete rubbish. It's super thin and flimsy. Just by walking around city streets, it immediately, annoyingly slid back in the shoe. I was forced to take the insoles out and replace them with the set from another pair of shoes I had for the remainder of the trip. For the price, the insole should be much better quality. If you are good with purchasing a set of Spenco insoles for these skids, then it's a great shoe. But be aware that changing the insoles to ones of better quality will change the fit.

I've had Merrell boots before and was happy with them, but this product was disappointing. It's extremely heavy and bulkier than the picture suggests. It also has no arch support, much less than normal shoes. They also don't really look like the picture (with respect to color).

Shoe looks good, but that's where it ends. Liner is thin with little cushion and sole does not have much give. I'm a measured 10 D; size 10 length in these was about 1/4 size short, width was fine. Moved to a 10.5 but the heel made my foot slide forward all the time. Tried some Dr. Gels with little improvement. These are definitely going back.
