I bought my son this shoe, the Timberland Chocorua, Timberland White Ledge, and Keen Targhee II Mid. This was the only one that fit as expected and, to him, looked great. He has worn it on a couple of weekend hiking/camping trips, moderate conditions, maybe 5-9 miles/day. He is very satisfied with the Merrell Moab, comfortable and supportive. He also liked the Timberland Mid Ledge but couldn't get a pair to fit. He wears a 13; it was too big and the 12 too small. As soon as I saw these, I knew he would keep them if they fit well because they are by far the best-looking pair of the bunch.

I bought these for my husband. He needed a warm pair of boots. They were comfortable right out of the box. True to size

This is my third pair of Merrill shoes with this style of sole. The shoes fit comfortably right out of the box. Good support, extremely well made. Have been wearing my current pair of Merrill shoes for about 3 years with heavy use and they are still in good shape. Depending on your feet, you might consider ordering one size larger.

I needed a waterproof mid-height boot for my part-time job washing and detailing motorcycles and ATV's, and it needed to be relatively tough for commuting via motorcycle. This boot fits the bill perfectly. I also use them for walking in the cold/snow/rain, and winter bicycling. Tough but not bulky, and really flexible.

This was a great boot...for like a month. Then the rubber toe tips started peeling off, then the stitching on the sides of the boots started to come apart. C'mon Merrell, let's make a boot that lasts into the rubber soles before all the glue and stitching fails.

BUY THESE BOOTS! These are the best boots I've ever owned. In the past 2 years I've put about 800 miles on them. They've kept my feet dry trekking for a week in the Scottish highlands in spring. They've done days in the Colorado and Mojave deserts and kept my feet clean, not too sweaty, with great purchase in the grit and on boulders. Also glaciers, snow, a volcano... these guys handle anything this amateur has thrown at them. They do pretty well for day in town, too. I can wear these all day (I ordered a half size up and put high-arch superfeet in, for my high-arch feet). They're water proof in standing water and rain, they breathe well, and durable as anything. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.

I have these boots for 6 months and use them every day for Labrador walking in the woods. An hour a day through snow and mud, but my feet a dry most of the time. These shoes a too low for a deep puddles or high grass, so water does com from the back. But they are relatively light and feel like sneakers.

Absolutely awesome!!! The most comfortable boots/shoes you can buy that offer with a rugged, waterproof feature.

I tried the Merrill Moab Rover Mid Waterproof, Keen Targhee II Mid, and Columbia Peakfreak Venture Mid Waterproof, all in size 9.5 wide. My last boot was a Timberline 8.5, which is now too tight, last sneakers were a 10, measured per the size chart and came out to about a 9.5. All the boots were great, comfortable, a very tough decision, but I went with the Merrill, by a nose. Prices were $140 for the Merrill, $135 for the Keen, and $110 for the Columbia, before tax. I was looking for a boot for the winter, snow, motorcycle riding, and some hiking. The Columbia was probably the most comfortable for walking-hiking, felt lightweight, comfortable like a sneaker. Keen was also great. Went with the Merrill because it seemed like it would be warmer in the winter snow, seemed more rugged, heavier, Keen was midway between the two but also comfortable and would have also been a great choice. Size seemed a half size larger on the Merrill, looking to exchange for a half size smaller. Allwould have been excellent choices based upon the fit and walking around in them, we'll see how the Merrill holds up. Don't really uset the boots that much so that shouldn't be a problem for me. Thanks Zappos, everything went great with the order, delivery, and processing returns!

This boot is HOT on my feet! Actually, I really like this boot. It is stylish, comfortable, well made, and feels like it will be durable. I got these for trail walking in the hills of Southern California. I just got back from my first 3 mile walk, and my feet are burning up! True, it's spring and 80 degrees and sunny out, so what did I expect?! My bad. I'm back online here at Zappos to find another pair of Merrells that have more venting and are not waterproof, and will hopefully breathe better. I can vouch for the "waterproof" claim of these -- I intentionally waded through a shallow stream and I could not feel any leakage into the shoe. So I think I'll use these as my winter boots and find another pair for the summer. I'm overall quite happy with these boots, but if you live in a warm/hot climate consider that these can be quite warm on your feet.

Great boot for going to the office on snowy days. Waterproof, fashionable and, most of all, comfortable.

My husband loves these boots - he said he liked them much better in person than in the photo and that they are very comfortable - he is on his feet all day in construction.

I appreciate the excellent Zappos.com service, however, I found a serious defect in the size 12W Moab Rover Mid shoes upon trying them on. Though both 12W shoes had identical size labels, they were clearly different widths. Upon close inspection, the left shoe was without a doubt much narrower than the right. I believe the left shoe was medium or narrow width.

This is my second pair of these boots. I bought two pairs because they are the most comfortable boots I have found. I wear 10 W and they fit perfectly. The colors I have are black and green - both look good. The green is muted and understated. I wear them in western NY in rain, snow, etc and they keep my feet dry. I give them my highest rating.

Bought them right before going backpacking for 10 days, wore them everyday. Very comfortable, held up great, especially in the Irish rain.

I bought these Merrell boots for my husband who was delighted when they arrived the next day just before the snow started. He wore the boots right out of the box with no complaints. Hooray!

I cannot believe just how comfortable this shoe is. Even after 8-9 hours of wearing this show, I'm not uncomfortable or dying to get it off.

I bought these boots for my teenage son. He says they're very comfortable and keep his feet warm. We were on a trip recently where we walked for miles every day, and he wore these boots the entire time for comfort and warmth. They're well made and will last him through the winter.

I've been a Merrell fan for years and they are built so well that after I retire them from sports and hiking, they become my yardwork shoes. These mid waterproof boots I purchased for backpacking. They fit well to my wide foot and the size was exact. The lighter weight than other comparable boots make them a great choice. "One pound on your feet equals 5 pounds on your back. The price is a great value for the quality.

I have been able simplify my life to just have 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of boots and a pair of sneakers, both of which I wear until they wear out. At $140, this is not an inexpensive shoe. Happily you get what you pay for. These boots have been in heavy rotation for 10 months now. They are great walking shoes. I've put in 100s of miles with them, maybe 1000s. While I had to replace the laces last month, the rest is still holding up great, though they are a little weathered at this point. But I'm a dude so I don't care, just as long my feet remain happy. I'm hoping to get another 2 months out of them before replacing with the exact shoe.

Love the Moab rover waterproof mid high boot.I had to get a size larger than street shoes.I wear orthotics under the footbed and they work great.Wore them all winter and no wet feet.I have two colors in mid high and two colors in low.I only wear Merrell now Rovers in cold months and Moab ventilators in hot months.I even have backups when they wear out that's how much I love these shoes!

I originally bought the low version of this shoe, 10.5, wide. They were extremely comfortable, but a little big. I decided to try a 10, wide, but mid-height version instead. Good choice. I got they new version this week, took them out of the box, put them on and went on an 8 mile hike. They are fantastic. They are just about the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. And the extra shoe height saved me from twisting my ankle several times. Great investment!
