I don't know how to feel about the "SoftWalk" material...it's like having a mattress under your foot. It feels like where it compresses under as you walk, you don't actually wind up getting much support. On my size 9 feet (and 5'4" height) these looked clunky and big anyway, so they are going back.

I will keep them. At first I thought they were too tight and had too high of an arch support. But I put them both on and walked around the house for 10 mins and ended up liking how they felt. Very soft. I think they will be good traveling shoes. A little frumpy looking but the best comfortable dressy shoe I could find that are not ankle breakers.

These are sized fine but arch support is minimal. I just feel the foam padding fill in the arch space but no true support . This will work for you unless you have especially tender foot issues.

Lovely Leather, pretty color. They ran a bit long, so I had to exchange them for the next size smaller. Felt like they'd be really safe for winter walking in PA.

This boot is super cute. Leather is very soft. Side zipper for easy on and off. Has an arch support pad so better than nothing. Returned due to fit. Ordered size 11. I knew right out of the box that they ran small. For me, size 11 was more like a 9 1/2 to 10. Runs narrow and small. Sorry to have to return because they would be great with leggings and skirts with tights. 5 stars if the fit was right.

I ordered this boot in my usual size 6. It was an excellent quality shoe, buttery soft leather, and just as cute as can be. Unfortunately, it ran so narrow that it hurt my foot as soon as I tried it on. I have narrow feet, so thought exchanging it up one size to a 6.5 would solve the problem. This time the boot was too big in the toe and heel, but still ridiculously narrow. I've never experienced this with a shoe before (and I buy a LOT of shoes). Maybe I needed to order a wide, but after two attempts, I think it's time to try another brand. Shame, because it's really a nice boot, but what an odd fit. A normal width just shouldn't pinch like that.

These are very comfortable boots. And pretty stylish looking. They were 1/2 size too small for me. I may re-order, not sure yet!

This is a very nice soft leather bootie. It didn't run small as other reviewers have noted. More importantly, Zappos bent over backwards to get it delivered in a timely manner. Helen on Live Chat absolutely rocks, she was so helpful. Zappos is the best for customer service. Thank you!

I love these ankle boots and have purchased 3 pairs over the past 4 years. They fit beautifully (9WW) and look great. However, I wouldn't recommend buying these. Each of the 3 pairs of boots had the sole separate from the toe of the boot after 2 months of wearing. Since I have an excellent shoe repair shop near my house, I bit the bullet and paid $20 for each of the 3 pairs to have the sole reattached. Then the sole wore out after another 2 months and I had to pay to have them replaced. How about a little quality control, Hanover? (If it was just one pair, I would call it a fluke, but to have the same issue with all 3 pairs of boots - planned obsolescence.) Too bad

Comfortable at first, with good arch support, but there is a seam at the back that rubs right against the heel. After walking for a couple of blocks I ended up with a blister.

Very weirdly shaped boot pushed my foot into an uncomfortable position inside the boot. Made my knee hurt.

As someone else said, they are really tight in the toe. I have never had that problem. I will be returning them. I got the regular width and have never had any wide shoes.

The leather on this shoe is very soft on the skin and the sole flexes very nicely but there is a very stiff component on the back of the shoe that was hitting my ankles and would surely cause a blister so back they went.

A very attractive boot and loved the soft leather. My problem was that a regular width was too narrow and uncomfortable so I ordered a wide. That helped with the width of my foot but was too big in the heel. I also found the arch was a bit uncomfortable and seemed to fall in the wrong place. I really wanted them to fit properly because I really liked the style, soft leather, and cushy sole. Thanks for the free shipping both directions plus the return of my 2nd try!

I WANTED to love these -- I think they're gorgeous (I got the weathered leather color, in size 11), but the leather was stiff & I don't want to have sore feet while hoping they'll get broken in, so I'm returning them. (I'm getting the softer Arcopedico L19 booties, of which I already own a pair, instead.) But they might be perfect for you!

I liked the look of these black ankle boots. I wear 10 w's and have issues with a flattening arch, pronating, plantar fasciitis, a pulled perineal tendon in one foot, and a healing bone spur in the other. The heels riding up with every step made this boot a deal breaker. I wasn't able to insert orthotics or supportive shoe inserts; perhaps that would have helped. I will try out other Softwalk shoes in the future. Thank you Zappos!

This boot had very little support/stability. Very comfy footbed and would be fine for light activities. I wanted a strong walking boot. This is not it.

LOVE the feel. Like walking on a pillow. Hated that they look like snowboots on me. Surprised shaft is 5" -- they look so much higher than my 4" shaft Hush Puppies. Maybe it's the wide at the ankle...but these made my legs look so short...cut off. Sad because pillows under feet! Crossing fingers another SW boot will work.

Much, much too big! I ordered 9.5WW, but a 9W would probably have been too big. Nice soft sole, but really not a very cute look. Also, the boots smelled really funny. Maybe the smell would wear off, but they smelled really bad.

Style-wise, these shoes fit the bill. I ordered my normal size and width (narrow), but it was pretty tight around the ball of the foot. I could have probably uses a half size larger in length, but the heel was so loose that I didn't bother ordering it

The leather on this boot is beautiful and soft and the style comfortable around the ankle. I was so disappointed when the fit and sole support were poor. If you look carefully at the bottom of the boot in the images, you will see that the sole is VERY narrow at the arch giving very little support even though there is support cushioning inside the boot. This makes the foot over-run the sides and your step wobbly. Runs 1/2 size short. And is more narrow than typical for AA which you don't need when wearing socks with boots.

These shoes are not wide. They were extraordinarily narrow. In fact, when I removed them from the box I could tell that they would not fit.
