These are sturdy and warm- practical for MN. Cute and easy on/off- great for dog walking. I usually wear 7- 7.5. Purchased red in a 7 and I can wear them with thick socks or no socks at all.

I've worn Sorel's for decades, but because I have long feet (womens 12) I've usually had to buy men's sizes. My feet are narrow (AA), so they've always swum around in the men's boots, but better too wide than too short, right? This year I noticed that these boots were listed in women's sizes, which I was thrilled about! Unfortunately, when I got them, I discovered that they're as wide as any other Sorel's I've ever worn, if not wider. I have an old, worn-in men's pair right here that I can step into when I step out of these, so I can say with confidence that these definitely feel wider. Maybe they just call them women's boots, and make them available in new colors, but they're the same old men's boots I've always purchased before? Disappointed

I love these boots, although they do run large. I ended up downsizing half a size, but thinking I actually could've gone down a whole size. They keep my feet nice and warm in -40 degrees, all while staying stylish! Def would recommend these boots for intense winters!

These are the most practicable snow boots I've ever owned. They easily slide on and off and keep your feet very warm. Great for the ski mountain or snow days. They look great too!

Heading to Alaska to meet up with my sons and his family. He has transferred to Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage. It was recommended that I purchase Sorel boots to keep my feet warm and dry. The boots have arrived and they are attractive and fit great. I'm ready to go and ready for an Alaska adventure!

I absolutely adore my sorel boots! They are the only boots I have found that actually keep my feet warm.

I soooooo wanted to love these all the way. I saw a few posts about some of the boots rubbing heels. I slipped them on, took off around the block and the left foot is blissful. But the right heel is in agony. I live in Texas so I don't have a lot of need for them daily. But I have a ski trip in a week, so there is no time to swap. I will keep them and bring bandages for my heel. I will update my post when I return from actual snow and ice. They fit great though. True to size. They are built well. It's a "hearty" boot. And the rest of the boot feels great. And boy, are they sure sharp looking!

Love the boots. Very comfortable from the moment I put them on. There was no break-in time needed. Keeps my feet warm in the snow. Highly recommend the Winter Carnival boot.

I read all the reviews and went to a store to find my size before ordering. When I received them, they were much bigger than in the store length and width. I ordered a size bigger than my normal because i know they run small but they looked like men's shoes. They were also heavy due to the size. I would reorder in a half size up if I lived in a place with snow as these are a little too much for just rain!

Boots fit slightly big but a pair of thick socks will solve that problem. They are so comfortable and so so cute!!

I was looking for a true winter boot with good traction on icy spots after having my old boots lose traction so often and so dangerously that I fell several times in one winter. I am 31, in good shape, and not running or horsing around... but merely walking to take the dog out or seriously just get to my car behind work and I still fell and sustained pretty terrible bruises that went down to the bone! I was terrified to be outside last winter. I hated thinking that this could be happening to an older person or a young child... they don't necessarily bounce back like a person of my age and health does... and I didn't bounce back!! So, I bought these immediately after our first storm of the season and couldn't be happier. My old boots were great in many ways (they were my bean boots that I really did love too, but wore the traction down in a year and didn't want to deal with resoling each year. I wear my boots hard... like everyday in the winter all day... so beans were worn in one season). The difference with these Sorel boots is the stability I feel on conditions that would have had me avoiding areas and shortening walks for my dog (which is not fair!) or accepting and submitting to the injury that was inevitable. I walked like a penguin and slipped. I swear I'm not like a huge klutz either. It was so bad!! Now, I am still cautious but finally I am gripping the ground with my feet confidently and easily, rather than adding a new bruise to the collection after slipping. I don't shorten walks for my dogs or feel panic and fear with each step. The Sorel boots are ridiculously warm- with even just the thinnest of socks. These boots are high enough to trudge through some serious snow, but also low enough to wear comfortably through the day if desired. I did purchase another boot from sorel - the Joan of arc I think it's called..for my everyday wear in the winter... it's less of a snow boot and more of a warm daily winter boot with a rubber sneaker-like bottom. This one isn't as effective on ice but isn't as bad as I've had! Good for sunny winter days after storms are cleaned up, but 100% amazed and happy with the combination of boots I bought for their desired use. They both rock but specific to the snow boot ratings , this one is pretty phenomenal. Tivoli 2 looks like a pretty neat taller boot if you want a little more coverage! Thanks sorel! Def want to say that both companies- sorel and bean (you know the one... just leaving it at that bc my point isn't to discredit or bash them, but to provide relatable and real comparison since this was specific to an issue trying to be resolved here!) and boots are awesome, but I think they are different worlds in terms of what they are providing. They don't compare when it comes to certain needs or wants... ice traction is the one I'm throwing out there as my pick! Each have their place in the market. Def recommending sorel for this need and problem with ice. This boot is very fairly priced for all that it provides, especially compared to other brands on the market. Funniest part to finish...realizing that my husband and I now have matching snow boots, not on purpose, but bc I apparently have the same (great!!) taste in boots... mine are just a whole lot smaller than the men's monstrous version. Our first winter as a married couple is complete now. Matching snow boots... completely by accident... so super corny and awesome

Sorel came through on getting to me the cutest red snow boots ever. The fabric of the red was absolutely stunning, the rubber around the toe shell felt sturdy and the insulation was soft and warm. Wearing them on the plane so I am removing the inner shell; which is an amazing feature. I am a true 7.5 but even with my wool socks they felt slightly large. I bought these on line so I didn't have the luxury of experimenting with other sizes. But these more than satisfy my needs for this snow trip. Thank you Sorel for this awesome boot!
