This is the perfect jacket for Spring or Fall. It isn't too heavy and not too light. It fits true to size and goes with any outfit.

Recently looking for a new, lightly fitted spring and summer jacket and found the perfect match with this soft-shell item. It's breathable, functional, and the dark colors are vibrant without being too flashy. Definitely recommend to other Columbia fans.

I love this jacket and its versatility and style. I can wear this jacket anywhere and in so many different conditions. I can wear a sweater and layers under it for really cold conditions or a t-shirt for milder conditions. Looks sharp, rugged and waterproof. Will become my go to jacket. I normally wear a large but the medium fit much better. The large was just a bit too roomy

Jacket is great for colder weather. All zippers in good working order, a problem with many other brands. Fit is a little bigger than expected but with sinch strings in waist not a problem. Very pleased with this and all Columbia products purchased.

Very stylish!! Love the color combination and the way it fits!! Its warm and comfortable, not constricting like some other jackets. Would highly recommend this jacket!

Soft and comfy on the inside, rugged on the outside. Great for cool weather, for cold weather you need a fleece under layer and you are good to go. Water resistance is good for light rain, and the wind blocking is excellent. Fairly stylish, especially in the black with orange trim. I actually own two, one Medium for a tight stylish fit, one Large to have room for a fleece under layer. This is my go to jacket for everything outdoors except snow sports. I would highly recommend!

It's a thin jacket but is warm and fleece lined. Fits true to measurement. Ideal for chilly spring and fall days, I anticipate getting a lot of use out of this, like most columbi things.

I needed a new base layer for the rough Dakota winter and for hiking. So far, it has been great at keeping me warm under my coat. It's A little heavier than I expected, which is fine now, but I'm worried about hitting the trail with this. It might be great in the morning, but I'm sure I'll be shedding this by late morning.

This jacket is perfect for a nice morning hike or a cool evening hanging out around the fire. Good light thickness to allow you to layer up for our central coast weather.

I live in Guatemala, and I love this brand, all of my clothes are columbia, they fit very well, specially for large people. nice to be under the sun. and when it gets a little cold these jackets are perfect.

This jacket runs true to size. The Columbia Ascender is expertly fashioned and is the highest quality. It feels like a glove that wraps around you, but sturdy and provides the sense of security that you need from a jacket.

Excellent jacket! Flexible/comfortable material that is still super tough with quality throughout the entire jacket. Breaks the wind well and repels liquid. Everyone asks where I got it from and can't believe the sale price...pound for pound the best value you will find on a softshell jacket..can't be beat!

Water and wind resistant. I was able to use on a day when it's about 50 deg, 15mph wind and a little rain, it's perfect. More severe weather, this might not be enough. For the price, quality and effectivenes is great. Great for casual wear.

I like this jacket in general, especially like the color (deep rust), and the value is good. But one fundamental flaw that keeps me from recommending it is the fact that the sleeves are not lined. Because of the texture of the jacket's shell material, unless you are wearing a shirt with tight sleeves or made of very smooth material, you cannot simply slip the jacket on. You have to hold your shirt cuff in your hand to keep your shirtsleeve from catching in the jacket sleeve and bunching up. As a longtime Columbia customer, I am surprised at this design choice.

I love the quality of this jacket! It fits true to size and the pockets on the side are very useful. It has a nice warm fleece on the inside. I have received a lot of compliments and what the name of the jacket was.

My husband had a older version of this jacket and loved it. With this newer model, he equally loves the jacket and bought two different colors! It is a great extra warm layer for cold, wind and rain.

Nice looking jacket. Water and wind resistant. Only problem is the jacket is narrow at the shoulders and restrictive for it's size. If broad shouldered, you may want to order one size larger. It is a form fitting style

Purchased these jackets to embroider for my state Young Farmers committee. They look great!!!
