This is deceiving jacket looks black with red out line , but is a ugly gray with orange don't like it at all

Zip not working properly within 2 days of purchase

If you're tall and or have long arms size up. I did not check to see if they run a tall sizing or not but sizing up worked for us

I purchased this jacket about 10 years ago and I liked it so much I bought another one.

I'd been trying to find a lightweight Jacket to match one that had worn through the elbow and was fraying at the sleeves. Being in Southern California I only needed it for early morning dog walks and such. This fit the bill perfectly.

I like the jacket. The website didn't specify that it had a thin fleece lining. I was expecting a lighter weight jacket. That's the only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars.

The L jacket fits small. I was hoping to be able to use it for golf, but I couldn't even get it zipped, let alone layer it over a fleece for colder weather. I sent it back. I take a size L in other Columbia clothes and jackets and they fit perfectly, with room for layering.

I've had a Columbia for years and am a big fan of them. They hold up well, are comfortable and look good. Like I said I've had one for years and was looking for the same jacket just newer and less worn. I got the Ascender hoping it could match up. I know they changes designs slightly every year but the ascender just seemed lighter to me. It's still more or less the same jacket but seems lighter and the lining doesn't extend up to the neck of the jacket. While it is no means a bad jacket, I think i was hoping for just a little more.

I like the fit of this jacket, however, the zipper on one side at the top is a bit scratchy against my neck. That is my only disappointment with it.

Outer pocket small 4glasses to store. No inner pocket.

This is the best of everything. I look good and I feel warm!

Softshell that is warm as a winter coat. The inner lining is fairly thick & the exterior seems to be a durable, water resistant quality material. I'm replacing a 10 year old Columbia that had the internal thermo material which I loved. The new one is warmer with no need for layering.

Actual Color differs from photo. More gray than black, orange strips rather than red. Slightly thinner than expected, thus not very good in cool, windy weather.

Wry comfortable, breaths well and looks nice. These do not have interior pockets. They would be helpful.

In the image the jacket was more black and red but actually it's grey and orange But size is perfect

Color came out dark green and not the tan as shown in the photos

This is a great all weather coat. It runs true to size.

The jacket fits great but the "New Olive" color in the picture is WAY off from what you receive. The picture shows the jacket as being an almost coyote color and what they sent me should have been called Same Ol' Olive. It was a deep OD green. Then, I had to pay return shipping for something that was falsely advertised.

I bought this jacket for my husband and he loves it! The color is off from the picture though. In person it's more green than what the picture shows but still a nice color and jacket overall.
