This jacket works well at keeping me dry. I haven't been out in a rainstorm, but it worked well in normally rainy conditions that would soak my shirt through while walking from the car to the store entrance. I didn't have any issues with water leaking through, and the hood is great. Normally hoods don't go far enough forward to stop rain from getting on my face/glasses but this one does.
The jacket isn't meant to be too warm, but I didn't have any issues staying warm while walking in the rain in 40* temps either.

I ordered this product with very high hopes since the reviews were so good. I am a very average sized 5'6" female and chose to order the male version since it would be larger and more comfy in the winter. What I received is a pretty over all good fit. I would compare it so a slightly larger women's medium, so smaller than I expected. Three things that do dissapoint about this jacket are 1. The hood in giant and covers my entire face which is awful 2. The sleeves are very very short and I can't imagine them fitting a males arm length and 3. There are no interior pockets.

Great product overall. Size, fitment and function are all good. The only negative is that it does not have a drawstring in the hood. Would make a big difference in sealing out wind/moisture if it had one.

I am satisfied with the product as a whole.
But there is something that needs improvement.
If you have photos and detailed explanation about the inner side of jacket, when you introduce them on the internet it will be a great help for shopping.

I have got this jacket and dressed it for several days. There is a excellent combination between its collegiate navy color and fashionable style. Besides, the water and wind repellent fiber can help me to stand the weather in fall season. I got it with a very good deal price that makes me so happy. Frankly say, Columbia is my favorite sport wearing brand. However, the reason why I give a four stars overall rating is the problem related to the inside surface. The main body of inside is super, because it makes me warm and it is friendly with other clothes. But the area of inner surface of package area shows erosion after only several days dressing. This makes me to worry about how durable it could be. I strongly suggest that next generation of this jacket should use the same material with main body to cover all of inner side.

I own numerous Columbia jackets in XXL size, and thought this would be a nice addition. It arrived while I was out of town and when I got home I was excited to try it on. It was so small, that I needed help to get it off. I had my wife try it on (my other XXL jackets swim on her) and it was too small for her too. Bummer, I'm returning it and having to order a different jacket. I would suggest ordering 2 sizes bigger than you usually do.

The only negative I can say is the hood flops around a bit, other than that, it is a great coat

Love the jacket keeps the wind and moisture out.
I don't care for the hood with the velcro though whatever happened to the draw strings?

I live in San Francisco, where you almost always need a light jacket. This jacket has been perfect for multiple different weather conditions. I find that I wear it in rain snow or even on a cool day and every time I am completely satisfied. I recently put it to the test by going on a run in the rain, while wearing it and for the most part it did a great job repelling water, but kept my skin completely dry. Great quality for the price.

I wear this jacket for a living. I've had it for a month and have become somewhat familiar with it. I would have given it four stars if it Wernt for the following: would be nice to have a port inside chest pocket for headphone jack, had some extra stitching come out on the rim of the hood, I've already got piling and abrasion marks on the inside of the jacket, extremely soft outer shell; was expecting something a little stiffer, if I lay it down it wrinkles so I constantly have to hang it. The cut is perfect. I have enough room to wear a hoodie underneath. I've worn it three times in downpours and does well. Keeps the chill out of the deep freeze while working in negative temps. I also buy another if they improved it and made two tone blue version with a hood

Okay so I am a Female who ordered a Man's Jacket because The Men's Line has the Grey Color I like. I ordered a Mens Small, I normally wear a Medium in Female Clothing and I am 5'9"). The Small was very tight at my hips, and mine aren't large. It is very roomy at the chest. Sleeves were nice and long. I have long arms. I LOVE this style of hood. I have 2 Soft Shell Vests that have this style hood. My only wish is that this jacket had a two way zipper. In fact, I wish more of the Columbia Coats/Jackets had two zippers!!!

Not true to size. I ordered an XL for my husband and had to exchange it for a XXL. If you plan on wearing anything thicker than a t-shirt, I would recommend ordering a size larger.

I'm happy with this jacket. It's quite warm and also does a good job repelling light rain. It's a bit too warm for 50 F and I think it will probably be great around 40 F or even lower.
I normally wear medium but the medium of this jacket was too small for me, so I replaced it with a large.

The XXL is huge on me and the XL is way too small. There's a bigger difference than there should be between the two sizes. XXL pretty much always fits me so I would say that this XXL runs very very large while the XL probably runs pretty true to it's size. Jacket quality is fairly good though. Looks and feels nice. There were tons of threads sticking out of places that needed to be cut which is a bit annoying but fixable.

I purchased this to wear on cool windy days. The quality of the fabric is good bit the fit is tight. I am 5'8" tall and the fit across the shoulders is tight. Will probably wear it with just a tee shirt underneath.

Nice jacket and built of great quality! However the jacket does not keep me warm. Which is why I bought it to begin with. If you're looking for a good casual jacket this is it. Unless it starts getting a little chilly!

The size I ordered was perfect. Everything in the product description is true except that it is wind resistant and can be used in spring. At low temperature this product will not be helpful.

The jacket is great and at a great price too if you are using it in urban settings only. If you use it out in the backcountry it lacks a key feature for comfort and safety in my humble opinion.
A number of reviewers felt it ran small so I ordered the next size up and it was way too big-maybe it was miss marked it fit me more like an extra large than a large. no big deal I could exchange for a smaller size.
The deal breaker for me was no drawstring in the hood. I feel that a piece of gear like this should have all the features that are common to most other brands. The other hooded soft shell jackets I looked at all had hoods that were adjustable and had drawstrings to snug them down. I looked at 5 other brands and probably a dozen hooded soft shells all with drawstrings in the hood and the bottom hem which I also feel is an important feature, columbia has the hem drawstring.
I can recommend this for city use but not for wilderness activities.

The jacket runs too small, material is warm and not soft, wear without the hood on doesn't look good, I will return it.
