The jacket is of high quality and windproof. However, its size does not fit perfectly. The sleeve is long while the shoulder part is tight.

Nice jacket for spring or fall . It's a little light for Ohio winters .

This is a great jacket for if you need something breathable while engaging in physical activity in cooler weather. I wouldn't recommend it for temperatures below 25 dg f

Super comfortable and warm! Helps keep the rain off, and still roomy enough to fit a layer or two underneath for extra warmth

Would need better with a cord in the hood to adjust it, the Velcro on the back of the hood isn't quite enough.

Great jacket, runs super small. Ordered a small for the lean husband, ended up fitting the 115 pound petite wife just with extra long sleeves. Order at least a large for a regular man, XL if muscular. Very odd sizing, considering everybody else seems to like it. Maybe an odd bactch?

Softshell in black looks sharp! However, the sizing is SUPER small. Ordered the men's small for the hubby and it fit the small petite wife instead (but the arms of course were still men's length). Order 2 sizes up for sure. Also, the velcro on the hood and cuffs is a very, very dumb design flaw. Velcro kills fabric- bad choice all around. Had the coat fit it wouldn't have been a deal breaker, just an annoyance. Other than that I really wish it would have fit. Very nice jacket.

I felt overall it’s a great medium weight jacket with a hood. The pockets are large enough for big hands and are secured with a zipper. The only negative comment is that the my shoulders are rather snug in the jacket. I wear a XXL...the jacket fits true to form everywhere else.

Great jacket the water just slips away and its very comfy and warm, but it says its really wind resistance i could feel the wind in my jakcet maybe a light wind but no rainy wind if the cuffs get wet it will be drenched but it will try quickly ! Good jacket in happy i got it there's more good than bad thats why its 4 stars

I like this particular coat because it is great for wet or cool weather. I have a heavier version of this jacket, which is good for colder weather. It has a thin liner that makes it a bit warmer than a similar coat I use in the hot summer, which has no liner. I also like the fact that it has a hood. I only have one complaint about this jacket, which is the same complaint for the heavier version: you cannot use this coat with a long sleeve shirt. The shirt sleeves catch on the liner making it very difficult to put the coat on. So, I plan on using it during spring or fall days where an unlined coat would not suffice times when I am probably wearing a short sleeve shirt.

Great quality and good for cooler months. I was a bit disappointed with the cut though. It is more of a boxy fit and on the baggier side. I normally wear XL and could have gone L in this coat. Otherwise it is a nice coat for a great price.

Purchased this for my husband for outdoor runs as we transition to spring, he says it is great and feels it is a great weight to not impact his running and does it's job to keep him dry on the rainier days. It is kind of boxy though, me is 6'2" and the XL fits him great arm length wise, but the waist/hip area is much more loose.

Great jacket but fits a little bit for a small framed man. I'm 5'11" but skinny and it's a little wider than I would like for a small. Overall an excellent jacket and I'm happy with my purchase!

Well for starters the Stone green color is definitely miss advertised, more green than pictured. The jacket is definitely a nice jacket, light and warm. The sizing how ever is definitely true to fit, a few other of my columbia jackets are mediums but fit like a large on me. I ordered a medium and it fits tightly but I love it, very fitting to say. Love the jacket in fool thabks !

Hello there guys name is jimmy I wanted too write a review on this product I'm 5"10 & 147lbs & I gotta say this product is awesome I Definitely recommend this product the only con I didn't like was the loose hood I rather like if they added a zipper on the hood but besides this jacket is great for any weather It's stylish & very comfortable the colorway is literally what you see on the images & the jet black I Recommend I'll definitely be ordering more

The jacket looks good and the quality of jacket is good. I order Medium size and it little large but its ok.

hard to say how good it is. jacket is very lightweight. seams comfortable not sure how it will hold up in very cold weather. Southern California is not a good test

This jacket is great for mild winters. It's not bulky and has a soft fleecy material attached to the inside of the jacket. It fits true to size with exception of the sleeves. These are a little long. There is Velcro on the sleeves to adjust the length of the sleeves.

The Ascender with hood is very stylish and looks great with dressy clothes as well as casual attire. The fabric feels and looks great. The hood is a monk-style design that adds a nice touch, although does not have a chord to tighten it around the face. This jacket is well-made and lightweight. I have it in two colors and often wear it over a nice sweater or pullover henley sweatshirt.

Love this jacket but had to send it back. The "olive green" appears to change color depending on lighting. From dark green (olive), to brown and also gray. Really kind of cool if that's what your looking for. As always Columbia's customer service was on point and returning was a breeze.

this is really a good soft shell for me to keep the water and wind. out. very comfort inner and really fit to my size. like it so much.

Great run about Jacket for when you need something less then a full cold weather jacket. Just wish the fit was a bit more athletic, runs a bit looser then I like in the arms and torso.

Runs a little a small in waste area. Nice quality. Good for temps in the 50's and 60s. It's simple and lightweight. I would say it's not worth the retail price of $80 so buy it on sale.

Love this jacket! and I feel it runs true to size but just a little snug in the arms. The one con I will say is that the hood is a little oversized. It has an adjustment on it which helps but, I'd rather have a regular sized hood.
