got these in a 6.5 as the last Vans i got in a 6 was a bit tight. with an insole added and thicker socks, the shoe fits well, which works out, as Vans do not have arch support. i would say these shoes run truer to size than the other Vans i have, had these been available in 6, i may have exchanged for that size. ensure you do not over-zealously yank on the tongue - the first pair i tried had previously been tried, and someone had ruined the shoe by yanking the tongue away from the shoe. you can do a nice parallel lace, and the tongue helps to keep the shoe snug, and allows you to pull on and off. love these in the soft pink. the photograph is fairly true to life, they look even better in person, though!

I got this shoes for my 12 year old and he loves them! They are nice looking shoes and keep my son’s feet warm. He told me that the shoes were very comfortable! Overall good shoes for the cold weather and fabulous for teenagers!

Construction/Build: Decent Durability: 2-3 years based on wear Comfort: Flat base no support. Don't expect to walk too far in these. Style: Too many colors and style variations. The top made my feet look too wide. Recommended updates: More arch support. change the color of the laces. Just a bit too much style variation. Maybe a bit more narrow in front of the foot.

While I do really like the shoes they're not as warm as I thought they would be. Thankfully they provide a little more room in the shoe to allow for thick cold weather socks. So if you wear them with regular socks they're a little big, but that's actually a good thing being that these are made for cold weather so you need the room for some thick warm socks. Overall I'm happy with the shoes, nice material and style.

It felt good. But the wrong color was sent. We ordered the Dress Blues/Marshmallow, but received the Black/Black/Marshmallow.

Super soft suede treated for water resistance which is nice, good width for those with wider feet (ladies—I don’t know if they’d be considered wide for men), warm and soft lining for winter, decent tread for traction, and the deep magenta is really cute. I deducted a star only because they have virtually no arch support (footbed is flat much like converse all stars, though more cushioned than those). I made a huge order trying to find the perfect (comfy, everyday) fall ankle boot for my hard-to-fit wide and flat lady feet, ordered these to try too on a whim, and ended up returning almost everything else but keeping these! Of the three pairs I kept, I’m definitely the most excited to wear these. Great shoes!

These are fantastic shoes. I love Vans, and these shoes don't disappoint in the fit department. I need a wider shoe, and Vans are one of the few brands that fit out of the box with no wearing in time. This particular model is very cute on. I don't think I'd recommend them for really severe weather. My guess is that they are not water proof enough to stay leak free really during rainy or snowy conditions. I just wore these out in some wet snow/rain and they seem to have stayed dry, though my right foot was starting to get a bit damp near the toes. Bottom line: if it is cold but not wet out, these stylish hi-MTEs will keep your feet toasty!

Picked these up for a steal of a deal since I needed some brown shoes and wanted another pair of Vans that I could wear in more cold weather. For what I got these for I really can't complain. They look amazing and decently comfortable. I wear a 9.5 in Puma , Nike and Adidas but wear a 9 in Vans. Great shoes. Tongue is attached to side so it's a little more difficult to slip your foot in and out without loosening up the laces a but. Can't comment on the waterproof or water resistant qualities but these are really nice shoes if you can get them at a good price.

These have a high quality feel to them. The inside is lined making it good for cold weather. This also made it feel a little snug with socks on, but not enough that I wanted to get a larger size. Very happy overall.

Canters in, makes my ankle turn inward. Too wide for womens 13 medium/B width. Had to return. Otherwise, cute leather bootie.

So cute! Fit is great and true to size. Could be a little cushier when walking long distances, but overall are extremely comfortable.

Love the look and styling. Not such a good fit though. Felt the top of my (big)toes being pressed down. Toe box not high enough? Had to return, sigh..... :(

These look great, weather you lace em up or wear them more loose, pants stopping at cuff of hightop. Wearing the lighter suede in NYC, they've held up surprisingly well stomping about nasty subway tunnels and punishing asphalt. Not exactly water PROOF. Too deep of a puddle will certainly sneak into your shoe, as will standing in water for too long around the seams of the sole, only reason it lacks the coveted 5th star in this review. But it glides right off the tops in the rain. Keep my feet nice and warm, like these a lot!

The shoe is put together very nicely. Soft leather all around with a fabric collar. Perfect for cold/wet weather because of tongue structure good luck getting water on your toes. Great buy.

Unfortunately, we were sent women's size 10.5 instead of men's 10.5. Now they are sold out of what we need. My son really liked the look of these though!

I purchased these high-tops for my Halloween Ellen Ripley costume (first Alien movie) and was very pleased with the look and quality of this shoe. I'm not used to high tops so they did feel a bit odd and I they felt a bit wider and bigger than my shoes normally do. This could be because they are offered in men's sizing, even though I ordered the equivalent to my normal women's size and my feet are somewhat narrow anyways. What I like about them is they are much sturdier and more protected from the elements than standard canvas Van's and they looked perfect for tromping around trying to avoid Xenomorphs. Definitely recommended!

Really cool looking shoe. Definitely seems like it would be water resistant/proof. But very stiff. Too narrow for me. Not as much give as other Vans leather shoes.

It's comfortable.

These shoes are quite wide. My Brannock size is 12E and these shoes are plenty wide to accommodate my foot. I can even wear them with thick wool socks without feeling crowded. The length fits true to size. They aren't the most comfortable shoes, however. There isn't very much cushioning and they feel kind of weird around my heels but I'm not sure why. They are quite flat, that may be a positive or a negative depending on your preference. The laces aren't long enough for me to lace all the way up. I skip the top eyelets. These shoes are marketed as a winter design, with extra insulation. I don't find them to be excessively warm or thick though. Although I've only had them for a couple months and it's still winter, I expect them to be fine for summer wear.

Overall the Vans MTE is a good shoe. But I didn't get what I was expecting . I find the shoe to not be warm at all, even when I'm wearing thick thermal socks. It does withstand water/snow . And the suede material holds its color and feel. Also the durable outsole is a plus . If you're looking for a stylish low profile substitute to bulky boots these aren't your best bet, but they do hold there own to an extent when battling the elements .

I really like these sneakers but I am leaving a star off because the top of the sneaker toe box is really thin. You can see the top of your toe moving. I re-ordered in a half size larger. But overall this is a nice sneaker.

Great shoes, delivery time was quick.

Color is just a tiny smidgeon darker in real life, but otherwise, great shoes!
