I wanted them to be like they used to be, with the specific raised shape under the toes that was supposed to make them 'exercise sandals' back in the 70s. These did not have that shape although they said they were the original and they did have a little shape of some sort like some old competitors' knock-off design back when. To me they are just heavy blocks of wood with no vague promise of gorgeous legs, so the 1970s fantasy value is not there for me and I am returning them. The return process bogged down too and my email about it did not get a reply yet a few days later. At least they are sustainable, but they are not for me. I wanted them to be like the ye-olde kind that they used to make, to feel young and get great legs while doing it, but oh well. Others may love this style especially if they did not have attachment to the originals to compare it to.

Very comfortable but gets caught on all flooring, might trip you, could be due to the soles.

Absolutely adorable sandals, but unfortunately they don't stay on my feet. The old Dr Scholl's sandals had a bump in the sole that your toes could grab on to. These don't and there is nothing to keep them on your feet. Sadly, they were returned.

The fit is good but the material and construction is low quality. The strap underneath began to separate and fray after 6 months. 2 of the screws fell out from both sides on both shoes. This is not expected of a $90 product within a year of wear, around the house only. Not worth the value. This is second pair I've purchased and worn in the last five years. I would not buy them again. I recommend a redesign of the construction and material quality used to manufacture this sandal.

Not the same.
Will try and find someplace to resole my vintage ones.

Many years ago I owned a pair of Dr. Scholl’s original sandals and I loved them. These fit really differently and not in a good way. My feet kept slipping inside the shoes and found myself curling my toes to try to gripe them. Despite my best effort to adjust the buckle, the shoes still slipped. The size was perfect otherwise and true to size.
After walking inside the house for a bit, sadly, I knew I had to return these.

I bought these sandals thinking they were the original EXERCISE SANDALS!! Oh no. The foot bed has nothing for the toes to grab on to! It is smooth, flat, not molded into foot shape at all. So very disappointed.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. They look very pretty but very heavy to walk about in. The left leg is much tighter than the right, Definitely not what it used to be... I really used to love the original

These are not the original sandals. There is no toe bump. However, these shoes are comfortable, but the buckel on the left shoe continues to pop open. How can I get these shoes replaced? They are only a few months old!

I expected comfort and convenience to go along with stylish and cute when I bought these shoes but I only got the stylish and cute part. My foot would slide around and it was too much work to try to keep the shoes on when walking. It would either come off by me walking out of it or it would slide off. There are no contours for your feet to rest in, just super slick surface that makes for very bad shoes.

My sisters and I wore these sandals back in the 1970's and 1980's. I have looked for years for these and could not find them. The design of these shoes have changed. The toe bar is not included in the current style. The heel of the shoe is not as concaved as the "real" original. The strap is off. It seems that it has been moved forward, toward the top of the ties. In the "real" original ones, the strap was at least an inch back nearer the arch. I will keep these and give them a chance. I just hope I have not thrown away my money on these. Please bring back the "real" original design. Keep this design if you must, but go back to what made these shoes popular in the first place.

I went to order a new pair and 11 is the biggest size. I need 11.5 . The toe bar is gone so I went to the drafting board. Mechanical drafting in school paid off all I'm using is the top strap .

I had the wooden Dr. Scholls "exercise" sandles back in the 1980s. The foot bed was much more contoured back then with a much more pronounced hump between the ball and the toes which helped your toes to grip the shoe with each step making the shoe both more comfortable and easier to keep in place on the foot during the forward stride. These are not as pronounced and not much of grip for the toes. Please bring back the Vintgage original style from the 70' and 80's and the Blue is not the original Navy blue.

Definitely not red. More of a faded pink/orange in color. Disappointed to say the least. I gave this shoe 2 stars because , though I love the shoe , part of it was the color. I have bought the rubber soled red Dr Scholls in the past and it was a bright red, so after buying this wooden soled shoe which is more expensive, I thought the color would be the same. IT IS NOT.

The fit was narrower than expected, but by moving the buckled to widest the fit worked for my average foot. Soles being smooth wood felt fabulous but sandals just too heavy overall being solid wood. My fault I should have thought that through.

I ordered the red Original sandals. I was excited to revisit my childhood when I wore out a blue pair. The color of the sandals is misrepresented. Instead of red, the sandals are orange, nowhere near red. Very disappointed and will be returning them.

The old style had a more definite dip near the toes and a larger rounded ball to grip.
I almost fell down the stairs trying them on .
Not the same as the original.
I felt very unsteady walking in them .
I am returning.
