I have worn these shoes since the 1970's, when I use to purchase them from Long's drugstore that is now CVS, I use to pay a lot and now they want more and up for the rubber sole and almost a ton for the wooden bottoms, come on where is the justice!

These shoes actually aren't that comfortable. I remember them being a lot more comfortable back when I was a kid but I'm disappointed in my purchase.

I am laughing at myself. In the 70's these were cheap and you could buy them at the drugstore in tan, red or navy only. I am hoping for decent comfort in patent black. I am so cool!
I'd also recommend:
Birkenstocks, Frye, Clarks, Pliner, Puma

These are a replica of the ORIGINAL. The original Scholl exercise scandal had a white sole- gold screws, gold buckle and a large wooden arch for your toes to grip onto. You can't beat the original - so don't waste your money thinking these are same as the ones we all had in the 70's - 80's. Amazon site had pic's of the original with the blue and yellow sticker but are currently unavailable in white and don't know if they ever get stock. Here's hoping though?
I'd also recommend:
these is nothing like the original

Was so disappointed to have to return these! Dr. Scholl's didn't offer half sizes so I had to order up - the straps were too loose on the default hole (my toes could curl over the front!) and too tight on the next hole. Wish they offered half sizes!!

I wore these in the ‘70’s when they cost about $8.00 I had them in red, beige, and navy. I still have a pair that I bought somewhere maybe 25 years ago that have never been worn and still have the tags on them. This is an absolutely ridiculous price. Price them at maybe $20 or even $25 and they might sell.

it is very beautiful, but it is not comfortable. the first day, I got blister above my big toe. I'd have returned if i didn't wear it one time outside.

I have bought 2 of these, love the wood and the style. Both pair have broken on the clasp, with minimal use. Made in China. Please use quality materials for the price that we are paying. And make replacement parts and repairs. It makes the brand more sustainable and trustworthy.

Dear Sirs:
Is it too difficult to produce the shoes like the 70"s? i undestand the wooden material is more expensive, but i mean the sytle.

Shortly after starting to wear these sandals, the left foot clasp began releasing while I was walking (not fast or prolonged.) Returning them is not an easy process and a repair option wasn't offered. Very disappointing after years of being a devotee of Dr. Scholl's sandals.

Needs the toe grip back- challenge to walk on stiff wood. No longer contours to foot.

Super cute but really uncomfortable. I have yet to be able to wear them even around the house without blisters. The inside of the leather is particularly painful.

They tend to fly off very easily, and they were very painful to break in, so I made my own holes after almost getting blisters. I can wear them for a little while but wouldn't recommend walking in them for too long. They really should have made the tops a little softer on the inside. I had to buy blister stuff to put on while breaking them in.

The size 9 does not feel like a 9 bit more like an 8 and the strap is not if good quality! When you slide your foot in the sandal the strip folds in!!! Sorry to say but very disappointed !! Thanks

These shoes are comfortable for my wide feet as they can be adjusted. However, I had a pair I bought years ago and they were simply wonderful. These newer ones feel too clunky and they are way too heavy. I am disappointed they are not as good as my old pair that I would still have but for the fact I lost one accidentally.

I love these shoes for standing all day but
they broke at the buckle after light wear. For the cost they should last much longer.

Heavy and hard to keep on my feet. I regret not buying the lighter weight one. The front buckle seems to only let me make them too tight or too loose. Thee we y are beautifully made and super cute though.

This is advertised as the Original'. NOT so. I had worn the original sandal for years. The mist important design factor it was the hump' to grab your toes over. It is gone! Now it is just a good foot bed like on many others. I am very disappointed!

I've been a faithful Dr. Scholl's original sandals fan for decades now. I was excited to add this red pair to my collection. But for some reason, they HURT! They are not comfortable and my bones right below my toes (where foot becomes toes) hurt when I wear them...I'm really hoping and praying that my feet get used to them bc I want to wear them!!! This never happened to all my other pairs so I'm wondering if it's just this pair that wasn't made "right"??

I am very disappointed that the tor feature is no longer part of the shoes. That was one reason I purchased them. Probably will return them since they are just not the same without the raised sole at the toes.

I was so excited about getting these, especially since I've owned three pairs over my lifetime and how much I loved wearing them. Sadly these are not the same as the original. The key element missing is the "toe bump" or toe grip which is what not only made the original sandal work but also actually stay on your foot. Instead they fly off of your foot just taking a step forward - I almost fell twice! Please please look into this because otherwise it would be great!
