I am a dirt merchant (landscaper) of many,many years and have mostly worn pretty decent hiking mids.Through the years I really could never find the warmth as well as much needed waterproofing until now!Awesome Timberland item,The comfort and waterproofing are top notch and I will be definitely purchasing again as needed!Only one con;the leather could be a little thicker,That's it!!!

Very nice boot...been wearing a similar boot for almost 8 years...Timberland discontinued it and this is the replacement. Very similar and very comfortable. Will likely buy this one for 8-10 years too.

Hiking and work boots around the garden and house. Sizing was perfect and comfort exceptional after installing Spenco Total Support replacement liners.

Fits well and comfortable. Also surprisingly light weight for a hiking boot. Need to test them in wet conditions but so far so good!

I love these boots for everyday easy hikes or working around the house. This is my third pair.

I'm very happy with my purchase of Mt. Maddsen. The day after receiving them I did a 3 mile hike and they felt great in both small pebbles (kittly litter) and softball to basket ball rocks. The soles held fast going up and down the trail. Like others on here have stated - there was no need for a break in period.

This is a very good and stable boot nice design also.

This boot is exactly what I was looking for comfortable and allows me to trudge through snow. My only request would be that they made a similar boot but taller.

Greatest things about these boots I live in Ohio during this time heavy snow and ice that's turns into black ice. Not once have I slide, skate, or slip on the ice, not one time, the bottom is like it "Grips" the ice like I have treds on the bottom. Ohio gets like Chicago in the winter months cold, wet, slippery, and snow galore my feet stay warm ....now I'm not saying to stay out for an hour, 45 minutes shoes, boots, of any kind your feet are going to get cold however my feet stayed really warm for the first 30 minutes, and one best feature your feet stay dry that's most important during ice and snow. Bottom line my $$$$$ was well spent.
