I bought these a few months ago. I use them primarily at work but also for recreation. They fit great. I have problems finding boots and shoes that fit. I have wide width and high arched feet. These really fit like a glove. I walk a lot with my job. These boot are comfortable and light. Switching from my previous boots, I noticed a big difference. These seem feather light and gave me a bit more pep in my step. I have only had these a few months so I really can't say how durable and how long they might last. Right now, I have zero issues. I like these so much I ordered another pair in a different color for the weekends. I highly recommend these and would suggest them to a friend.

I was very pleased with the fit. I wear lifts and that was very comfortable.

These are the best shoes I have ever had. My feet are so happy. I actually like walking when I put them on.

I use these boots for work. I'm on my feet all day; I realized that my feet never hurt at the end of a work day. So, I bought another pair this time in black. Young man at work said, "you got some new Tims" I said yeah, he said "those are sharp; Ive never seen Tims all black."

This boot manages to be very supportive for foot stability while not being too constrictive causing discomfort. The sole has great grip on wet surfaces.

Boots are replacing 7 year old Timberland hikers. Are they exactly the same? Very close. I ordered them 1/2 size too large bc I could no longer read it on the existing boots. These have clocked heaven only knows how many miles. Problem is they are no longer fully waterproof. The 1/2 size increase does not seem to be an issue. There will be a break-in period, but it won't last long.

This is my second pair of similar boots from Timberland. My old pair, which I have had for years, are still functional, just beat up and ugly from years of hard work and wear. With new laces, I will still wear the old for the dirtiest work in order to preserve the new pair. I am wearing the new pair, just delivered right now. Comfortable and I expect no break-in time, just immediate long-term use: I expect I could take a hike in them right now with no worries. Good boots. I might put in an additional arch support since my feet have gotten flatter with age since the last pair. Bottom line: return to what lasts in: boots, vehicles, computers. Purchase what lasts, even if it might cost slightly more. Quality and durability are worth money. Durability saves money. And these boots were still reasonably-priced for the quality. Nice work maintaining your quality, Timberland.

Zappos does it again! We went to the mall to shop for a pair of boots for my son and after spending two hours ending up with nothing due to the poor selection, Zappos came through for us yet again. Only 20 minutes online and a couple of days delivered. We’re a bunch of happy campers! Thanks again Zappos.

These boots felt great. The length, wide and arch felt great to my feet. I suspect no blisters from these. Very nicely packaged.

This is the 2nd pair I have purchased for my daughter. The fit for her wide foot was so much better in the men's boots. They are very comfortable with plenty of padding, waterproof and provide good stability when walking. Her first pair has lasted a couple of years and that is using them almost daily. I would highly recommend these!

I am on my 4th pair of these shoes. I love them! I have a hard time finding shoes that fit and last as I wear them daily. I am diabetic and require a comfortable shoe and these fit the bill. Thanks!

I wear these boots at work and the comparable brown boots everywhere else. They are comfortable and rugged. I have tried many brands, including much more expensive brands, and always come back to Timberland.

I'm picky about hiking boots, but after a gel insole I can stay in these for 10-12 hour days; have hiked in NYC for a week and also out in the wild -- very comfy and love them! One gripe (like another reviewer says) is the pointy notch in the toe guard design leads it to start coming unglued a little early in its life. But I will try to superglue and hike on :D because for any non-winter hikes, these are my jam.

I originally purchased size 8D which was too narrow and too short. So, I exchanged for the 8.5EE which fit perfectly for my taste in the forefoot area with SmartWool socks. The fit was perfect in all other regards with zero heel slippage. It did take some experimentation with lacing tightness to prevent slippage in the forefoot area during descents while also preventing excessive pressure in the front part of my ankles. After getting the lacing squared away, I took a very brisk 45 minute hike during a rain storm in very hilly terrain with 4 stream crossings! I detected zero water leakage into the boots whatsoever. However, by the end of the hike, I had some pain in my left arch but none in the right. I noticed the left boot pronates a bit more than the right boot but I'm not sure if that was the cause of the pain or if the footbed arch support itself was the culprit. I ordered some Orthofeet inserts which have worked well for me in this regard in the past. In the meantime, I'll try some more hikes to see if my left foot can adjust and/or if the boot will just break in enough to prevent this left foot arch pain.

Pleasantly surprised! Needing to replace my 25 yr old hiking boots, I saw the reviews and tried these. What a find! Comfortable after a short break-in, classic trim look is a bonus. Highly recommend.

After searching far and wide for a lightweight, waterproof, well-cushioned, mid-height hiking boot with no heel slippage and with just the right amount of arch support and pronation control, I think I finally found it with the Timberland Earthkeepers® Mt. Maddsen Mid Waterproof! HOWEVER, it was too narrow and too short for what I have come to expect in decades past with an 8D. So, I am currently in the process of exchanging this fine boot for and 8.5EE and really hoping that size does the trick because I like this boot in every other way! As always, ZAPPOS was AMAZINGLY helpful with my exchange process and the very kind and friendly representatives helped me through the label printing IT problems they were experiencing last Thursday, 10/21/21. ZAPPOS is the best!

Great boots, and I have 4 pair, but I ordered the black pair for work and they have an annoying squeak from the sole ever time I step. All other pairs are good.
