The shoes are fabulous. Right on trend, lightweight, soft leather, and (most importantly) wide enough in the toes! I tried 6 different pair of brogues, and these were by far the most comfortable. I just wore them for a week nonstop hoofing it through London, dressed up with work slacks or skirt, dressed down with denim and corduroy, and my feet felt great. They don't have the support of, say, a typical Clarks shoe. But I found I was happy to trade that off for lighter weight and a softer fit. One thing that isn't wasn't clear from the description, but which you can see in the photo if you're looking for it, is the shoe is actually made of two parts of leather, the heel wrap and the front, joined together with a band of fabric. That keeps the shoe flexible so it doesn't cut into the back of the ankle or wrinkle in the front as you step. I think this is the secret to the incredible comfort. I am tempted to get another pair in a different color.

Love these shoes. I have horrible feet (surgical history) and j wore these all day the first day I owned them. I like that they look a little more modern than the basic Oxford.

These shoes make me so happy! I usually wear an 8, and I frequently need a wide, so I didn't have high hopes when I ordered these. However, they are just a little wider than most B widths, and the leather is so soft that the shoes fit perfectly. I ordered them in black and I like that they have both black and wine colored laces. Another Zappos shoe victory!

Ahnu when I saw these shoes I needed to have them. I was looking for a stylish, but most importantly, comfortable pair of shoes and these were it. I wear these to work, on trips, and even out and about with friends. They are versatile shoes and look good with jeans or dress pants. I love that they come with the magenta and black laces too. I generally wear wide width shoes and I was worried that they would be too narrow and squish my feet. These ended up fitting perfectly. It's so hard to find a good pair of oxfords in my size 7.5 feet and width, so I was ecstatic to try these end and feel that they fit perfectly. The size 7.5 left only a little bit of toe room which was great. After 2 months of owning and regularly wearing these shoes, I still think this was one of the best shoe purchases I've made. It's worth the money. I can't wait to buy these in brown!

I ordered these shoes in both the brown and the black. This is the best-fitting, most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The materials and the construction are excellent and I love the design, especially with that little touch of whimsy by including extra shoe laces in a contrasting color. If you have very narrow feet, this shoe is probably not for you.

I originally bought these oxfords in black & liked them so much that I also got the brown. A bit more than I usually spend but worth it. I am usually a 7.5 but preferred the snug fit of the 7. I would not recommend these if you are on the wider side of medium width.

They're comfortable, might work with a shoe foam insert. The sides are soft leather, very soft leather. And the neoprene will probably keep them from cutting into your foot. But overall, they just aren't going to provide enough support for days of walking.

LOVE these shoes. Had a navy blue pair 4 years ago that I walked through 2 sole replacements over 2 years. Unfortunately, with age and bad genetics, come bunions and when I try to replace the old pair with new, I just can't get the fit right. That being said, if you are looking for a comfortable, stylish oxford walking shoe that won't make you look like an old lady, try these.

The materials of the shoe are wonderfully soft and comfortable. The shoe feels flexible, but not fragile. An interesting extra touch is that the edge around the top is actually some sort of stretchy material (neoprene, maybe?), so it gently grips your ankle and lies flat securely. I purchased the black color and love the contrast between the body and the sole of the shoe; I didn't like it as much in the brown colorway, which looked a little too much like a bowling shoe for my taste. It runs true to size, and arch support seems moderate to low--typical for Ahnu shoes, I think.

I regret that I have to return these. I need a 1/2 size larger, but it is not available. These are beautifully made, buttery soft, and just what I was looking for in an Oxford style. They are narrow, which usually works for me. No heel slippage, which is good for my narrow heels. The non-removable insole is well-padded, but I need a bit more arch support. If Zappos restocks 6.5 I will reorder and peel the footbed out to replace with a leather footsmart insole. I am grateful to Zappos for the opportunity to try these.

This is my second pair of Ahnu Emery’s - my first pair was black. They are adorable and very versatile. I have worn them with leggings and with skirts; the most compliments I got on them was when I wore them with patterned trouser socks and a rather conservative suit at a professional conference. These oxfords gave my otherwise kind of boring, staid look a nice “edge”. The light contrasting laces in both these and the black ones give these sleek shoes some extra personality. Highly recommend!

These shoes are crazy comfy, and great when it's wet out. I wear them almost every day to the office.

Anticipated taking a cab, but ended up walking over a mile. Very comfortable and stylish. Work with business dress pants, but cross over to jeans also. Comes with 2 pairs of laces reddish and black. Love them.

Love these shoes. Very comfortable for light walking and I've gotten "where'd you find those?" kind of compliments wearing them. Great with jeans. I bought them in an 8 and they fit just right. (I'm a 7.5-8 or 38 euro in casual or dress shoes, an 8 in sneakers).

These shoes are awesome! The minute I slipped them on I knew I was keeping them and sending back all of the other (more expensive) shoes from my order! I came back on Zappos immediately, hoping there were more color choices or other similar shoes from this brand. I will definitely be making these part of business casual for work with dress pants, a blouse, and statement jewelry. Unfortunately, the rest of the shoe styles are too outdoorsy. Make more dressy shoes or simple, classic ballet flats, and I'll be back for more!

loved them . tried on after work and felt great. the morning I put them on to wear, I wore them around the house the heel kept slipping. sadly I have to send back and try a size samller if they have.

I bought these shoes for a yearlong dissertation research trip in the former Soviet Union. I needed a pair of shoes that could handle wet weather, were comfortable for lots of walking, but still looked nice enough to impress the archivists and fellow scholars. I was looking at a cheaper Oxford, but decided to splurge on these - and I'm so glad I did. They never gave me blisters, looked great even after slogging through a rainstorm, and even after a long year of wear they look almost as good as new. In cultures where you have to take shoes off to go indoors, the elastic inset made it possible for me to put them on and take them off without untying. I ended up getting pregnant midway through the year, and these shoes accommodated my growing body weight and changing center of gravity perfectly! The only thing that took getting used to was the tightness - they are not very tight around the ankle, and usually I like to tie my shoes really snugly around my heels. But my feet were still completely supported and never got wet. I rarely find Zappos reviews helpful, because usually they are written right after purchase. "These seem so sturdy" and "they look so nice right out of the box" don't matter, because I want a pair of shoes that will last and look nice for a long time to come. These are those shoes.

I got these for expected rainy weather for a summer trip to Germany instead of a rubber shoe/boot that would likely be heavier and hotter. Since I'll only be sight-seeing in the rain and not traversing streams, I'm hoping it's enough waterproofing since the liner only goes as far as the white stitching of the toe cap area. They are super-comfortable and lightweight, and I'll be able to wear them with skirts or jeans. Even my 16-year-old daughter approves! I have Ahnu hiking shoes in a 6 1/2, and tried both a 6 and 6 1/2 in the Emery, and the larger size was much too large. I love the little bit of stretch in the heel area--not tight and no slip! My only wish would be for more arch support, like the amazing Ahnu hiking shoes!

So comfortable! Feels broken with it's soft leather. You can walk all day in them and look very stylish.

These shoes are great! I have the same pair in a previous style that was part patent leather, but when I found out recently that Ahnu had been bought by Teva and was no longer making these shoes, I decided to buy them while they're still available. They are the perfect comfortable professional shoe and I get compliments on them all the time! I'm saving this new pair until I wear out the old ones-- then I will be happy to have these on hand. They hold up really well though so that might take a long time!

These shoes are really slick looking, and I've gotten compliments about them from people at the office. I really like the red laces combination with the black shoe (though the shoes also come with black laces if you want to switch out the color). The first time I wore these shoes, they were a little stiff and uncomfortable. After wearing them for a day or so, they felt fine.
