I really had hopes with this shoe! Felt comfy when I first put them on, but as I walked around the house, just a little too tight. Thank you for the ability to buy and ship for free and return free! Makes purchase a lot less risky. I think a couple reviews mentioned they were a little tight, and that was the issue with me. Broke my little toe a few times, so definitely need a wider toe box.

I am stuck using orthotics for collapsed arches and overpronation and need a neutral low arch shoe for them. The Dyad is Narrow for a 2E but all Brooks 2E shoes are now narrow - the Dyad is pretty much the only neutral low arch shoe I have found - too bad it is narrow against my pinky toe- come on Brooks make a 2E a true 2E Probably keeping this out of desperation I think Brooks makes the best shoes but they need to make a more generous toe box.

I bought these because they come in a double wide size. Unfortunately, they are very stiff and uncomfortable and the heel kept slipping. The toe box is fine and the extra width is nice, but they made my feet hurt after 10 min on the treadmill. I'll be returning them and going back to my Glycerins, which I love except they don't come in an extra wide. Brooks, you need to fix that. Zappos, as usual, shipped these quickly.

I really want to love the shoes which were strongly recommended by one of my long time marathon running friends. With orthoses inserted, I ran and jumped in the gym floor for less than one hour, both of my feet got hurt like crazy. The shoes were not provided enough cushion by using the foot orthoses my doctor prescript for me. Unfortunately, I will have to return the shoes back.

I was looking for a new sneaker and tried many. The sneaker started off fine. The last 2 months or so, one of the sneakers would squeak when I walked. Today the side of the shoe ripped away from the sole while I was working out. I don't believe that I wore them an excessive amount in the 7 months since I purchased them for these issues to be happening. I now have to look for another pair of sneakers that I can wear immediately.

Loved the first model I got of this Dyad model shoe for my very finicky feet, but the last two (7 and 8) have worn through the toe almost immediately because the thicker covering over this part of the shoe has been reduced to a tiny useless amount of decoration on the edges. Though the wide size has been adequate in the past, the latest pair chafe on the outer edge. I hope this is fixed (and the toe box re-widened) in the next model which I'll have to wait for and wear white socks so the wear doesn't show so much in my Dyad 8!

None--these are the only high arch, wide toebox walking shoe made that work for me

While the width, support and cushioning are great, the length of the shoe (size 9 Wide) felt like it was smaller. There didn't seem to be enough room in the toe box and my big toes were irritated during my first walk. It may be that I need a thinner sock or a half size larger. I'm hoping the thinner sock is the solution because I really love everything else about the shoe.

These lasted about a month before the bottom started peeling off. This is the fourth pair of Brooks I've bought and the first time they've fallen apart, so I'm not sure if I'll give them another chance or not. The fit is a little off too. 9.5 wide is usually a perfect fit for me in Brooks, but these are about 1/4 size short, so my toes sometimes hit the end, but of course the 10 was way too big. Very disappointed.

WIde is too narrow. WIsh I could return, but already worn. Unfortunately, you can't return after you have worn something from Zappos. This is my only con with this company. I couldn't find these shoes at my local running store. The older version of Dyads were like my foot soulmate. I am sad that Brooks decided to make this newer version so narrow. The wides were like a Narrow on me. Plus I had to return for a smaller size because my regular size was too long. I will still run in these for a bit because $130 is a fortune to just throw down the drain. I am already starting to get some hip and knee pain. Will try a new insert and see if that helps. I'd avoid these shoes if you loved the previous version. I don't get why shoe companies completely change their shoes.

I had a back fushion five years ago and ever since then I have been wearing Brooks tennis shoes but the dads are the best ones I have found yet. They are the most comfortable on my feet. I won't buy anything else. I can wear them with my orthotics and that says a lot.

This is my sixth or seventh pair of Dyads I have been wearing these shoes since 2004. I was prescribed this type of shoe at a running store as I had chronically tight calves and Achilles tendonitis. The wide soles seemed to help. Dyads have worked for me since then until now, that is. If the Dyad 8 were my first pair, I would not buy a second. There is no dip in the back of the heel as in previous iterations; I am getting blisters on the back of my heel as a result. The tongue rubs on the top of my foot it seems poorly made. And the rubber sole does not seem as wide as previous Dyads. To put it plainly: If I could return these to Zappos after wearing them, I would.

Brooks has lost a customer. I was with them for 7 years only buying the Dyad 7s - and the 8s are like making the dyad 7 and taking all the cushioning out of it and making them super hard. I did not feel I was walking on the cloud (as the feeling used to be with a new pair of 7s). I also tried the 8s and the glycerin 13s - both of which did not quite work for me. To top it off, I called Brooks and all they had to say was "I'm sorry". Nothing more. I can't understand why they would just cut off a shoe that so many of us are so dependent upon - also evidenced by the reviews. Well, then again, it's probably profit - but keep alternatives.

This is my 3rd pair of brooks dyads but these were significantly more narrow and caused alot of blistering on my very first run. Very unhappy with this purchase unfortunately

I am so sad that these shoes have changed! The Dyad 7 was great but the Dyad 8 is a different shoe and not a good choice for someone who is on their feet 12-14 hours a day. I had to order a larger size, the toe box is smaller, and the only color this shoe now comes in is so light, it cannot possibly stay clean enough to make them presentable for work for any length of time.
