I had a pair that finally died (well actually a dog helped with that) and those were probably about 5 years old. I loved them. Even wore them to places like Disneyland and my feet were always comfortable with no chafing from the thong part. I bought this year's Sandy and it isn't quite the same. They feel harder/denser, not quite so squishy and moldable to my foot. The thong straps feel the same but the bottom is different. Why did you guys change this? I've been wearing them for about an hour and my right heel is starting to hurt from the hardness.

The comfort and size are good, but they've been turning the bottom of my feet black. I had two other similar pairs of black Reefs in the past and this did not happen in the older ones.

I love wearing these flip flops......outside, in the house as my" indoor slippers", and at the beach. Great price for the quality. I kept the brown ones, because the dye did not rub off on my feet. I did return 2 of the black ones.

I had a pair of Reef Sandy that were passed down to me from my mom when I was pregnant and my feet had swollen. I could not find a comfortable shoe that would fit my swollen feet until my mom gave me hers which they were already 4-5 years old. They were still in great condition and extremely comfortable! I wore them for an additional 3 years and accidentally left them in a hotel room!!! I decided to order me a new pair and was so disappointed because they did not fit like the older ones. They were way more narrow! I definitely recommend Reef to anyone with a narrow foot but would love to see them made in wide!

I preferred a better arch support, a slight edge that surrounds and supports your foot, plus a slight ridge between toes and ball of foot. my one and only pair of Reefs before this were great. Simple, black, and so comfortable. I got my adult kids the same style and they loved them also. The description doesn't give that much information unfortunately.

I purchased a pr of brown Sandy reefs last year. I loved them so I hunted Blk this year. Did not find them so I ordered 2 prs of blk on line. THe ones this year are not as wide or long in the same size. Still like them though.

I've been wearing Reef Sandy style flip flops for over 10 years. Originally they were true to size, but now I have to get a full size larger. No big deal, but just a heads up to others. The main problem is that however they are being made now is causing jet black ink to stain the bottom of my feet. I just bought 3 pair, tried to hose them down repeatedly once I realized but to no avail, and now I'm stuck with them. The black transfers to every surface when I take my shoes off, as well. Unless this recent development changes (the originals never had this issue), I doubt I'd by more in the future.

THe flip flops are very comfortble. The only bad thing about them is that they turn the bottom of my feet black. This happened right out of the box. I have never had this happen with Reef shoes before.

It was not as squishy as my Reefs have been in the past, but still a good flip-flop.

I wanted an all black comfortable flip flop that I could wear with most things. Right now the shoe is not right the size. I ordered the same size I did for all my other Reef shoes but this one is smaller. So its a little hard to walk long distances in and it looks bad that my foot is bigger than the shoe. I don't know what happened with this one. :( If you get this shoe get a bigger size.

I usually love Reefs, yet was disappointed in the latest purchase. The sizes run small and had to return them.

My favorite sandal of all time! I never wear anything else in the summer months & own multiple pairs. However, this latest Sandy had a slippery sole & my foot slid while wearing. After I took them off, it left a slippery residue on my feet & on my floor. I love Reef Sandys...but was very disappointed & returned them.

I have owned multiple pairs of Sandy size 10 in the past. When my new purchase arrived, they were almost a half inch shorter than previous versions and my heel was hanging off the back. These will have to be returned and I'm certain that an 11 will be too long on the front. So disappointed!

This shoe was comfortable but my foot slips on the foot bed. Left a greasy feeling on the bottom of my foot. Unsure if it would eventually wear off but my feet slide so much I am going to return this pair. Wish it had a different coating on the foot bed because I love the style and color.

I have a pair about a year old I love but they're about done so was replacing them. This new pair is flimsy and poorly made.

I have been wearing these same style reefs for 20+ years the first few pair lastest forever i mean a good 10 years. Recently i have bought more colors and i am totally disappointed ....one pair of the new ones the strap came out of the bottom (i have even sent a pair back for the same thing and it happened with the pair they sent me also), another pair the bottoms came apart from the top sole ( they flap when you walk). I have swore by these shoes for years they are just not holding up the same as they used too. The new ones are less than a year old not even worn in good. Its a shame!!! I wear them so often i even have tan lines from them, I work outside in South Florida so they do get wet, but that is the reason i buy these bc they are able to take the water but they do not hold up like they used too!!

I love my Sandy's! I have lived in them for years. But my purchase of a new pair unveiled a design change that doesn't work! Part of what I loved about my Sandy's was the grip and stability I got from the soles when walking on any surface. Unfortunately, the new soles are so slippery I feel like I am walking on ice!! I have regular old wood floors in my house and I nearly wipe out daily. If the soles don't get changed back, I'm afraid I will be in search of a new brand. This is a very sad turn of events...

The soles are SUPER slippery! In the house, on a dock, anywhere....I slipped and fell three times after ordering 2 pair of these. Not good. I miss the old reefs SO much!

I've been buying this style of Reefs for years, and wearing them all year round. Recently the texture on the bottom changed from the rubbery "Reef" to a weird cloth-like material. I've slipped in all 3 pairs, on several different surfaces. I'm sad to say I'll have to part with my favorite style.

They are really really small. I have reef flip flops and these fit completely different..i returned them hoping for and exchange

my off white carpeting was turning gray/black. I have bad knees and this was the only sandal I could live in. I wore them year round in the house. It took me some time to realize that the dye was transferring to the rug. I never had any problem with these until they started making all of the Sandys with black bottoms. Sorry Reef--bad quality--for the price, the dye should not be coming off. I am so disappointed, and unfortunately, I had to move on.

I was SO excited to get my flip flops in the mail, however, when I received them, they are not a true 8. This is odd because I have bought this exact pair many times, and they have always worn like a true 8. This is more like a 6. Disappointing for sure. Maybe they were labeled wrong? (when placed next to the exact same pair of worn out flip flops, there is a vast difference.) I'm not sure what happened, but I will be returning them for a larger pair. LOVE Reefs in general though and have never been disappointed until now.
