I purposefully ordered 1/2 size up so I can wear thicker socks with these boots. I have been very pleasantly surprised at the waterproof properties since I walk dogs in the most disgusting of weather including snow, rain, a mix of the two, and when sidewalks are submerged in a few inches of snow-melt. My coat, pants, hat, gloves, and scarf may all be saturated but my feet have remained warm and dry. Speaking of warm, this boots have granted me the luxury of toasty toes despite sub-zero weather. I have been looking for a comfortable yet stylish pair of snow boots for a while now. My search finally ended with these Columbia boots! They are warm, comfortable, and keep my feet dry in shin to knee high snow and ice. They are also as cute as snow boots can be with their lace up front and fur collar! The best part as far as I'm concerned is that they are EASY to take on and off. In the past, I've owned some boots that were so hard to get on and off that I felt like I got an aerobic workout trying to do it. Not these. I can slip each off as soon as I enter my apartment by simply loosening the top laces and using my opposite foot to ease the boot off. I normally take a size 9 in a regular shoe, and sometimes a 9.5 in a boot depending on the style. For these I ordered a 9.5 and a 10. The 9.5 fits very comfortably with room for a pair of medium to thick socks, so I'll be returning the 10. I love these boots so much I may buy them in the shorter style as well. With all the snow here in the Northeast, I know I'll wear them frequently. Would suggest going up at least a half size from your normal shoe size.

Overall a great boot. Great looking for a snow boot and not super bulky like most snow boots made for real cold snowy days.

I'm impressed! I waited to review these until I had properly worn them through some weather, I wasn't so trusting they would hold up to the nasty sloppy wet snow, but they did fantastic. They are just as cute as pictured, warm and cozy, kept my feet totally dry, have nice traction, and I find they wear similar to my favorite hiking shoes - very comfortable and supportive, light and easy to walk in. I have not driven with them on, but feel like I could. These will definitely be my go to winter boots for walking the dog in the wet and cold, and before/after skiing. I was replacing a pair of 20+ yr old Sorels which are still in great shape, and great if I'm just standing around in snow, but they are clunky and big and hard to walk long distances in. I'm really happy I found these Columbia boots!

I bought these for a snow trip and they kept my feet warm and dry. I bought a half size up so that I could wear a thick pair of socks and the fit was perfect. Love the cozy fur inside. They look great with tights and my ski pants (with bell bottoms) fit just fine tucked in when I was off the slopes.

Love these boots - true to size and does not hurt my one foot, which has a bunion. Very comfortable and can wear medium weight sock with no problem.

Fashionable (enough) for a snow boot; fit as expected. I wear a 7.5 in tennis shoes and usually size up to an 8 for boots. I ordered an 8 and like the fit - there's enough room for heavy socks if I want to wear them. The soles were a little squeaky initially, but that subsided after just a few minutes walking around the house, so I don't think it's a permanent issue.

I ordered these boots to wear in Washington, D.C. Since it is cold there in January and I was going to be standing outside for a long period of time, I wanted something warm and windproof. I wore these boots all 3 days I was there, walking 8 1/2 miles, 6 1/2 miles and over 5 miles over the 3 days. They are extremely comfortable and warm. It was rainy one day and they kept my feet dry also. LOVE these boots and how comfortable and warm they are. I would highly recommend them.

This boot felt warm and fit my wide, bunion feet ok but I didn't like the lack of arch support it had. It was a deal breaker for me as I walk a lot and need the support. I usually wear a size 7 1/2 but got the size 8 for extra room and it was ok with thicker socks or if I laced them tighter. I never wore them outside to really try them out knowing that I would be returning them for something with more support.

Love these boots. Very stylish, soft and comfortable. Easy on with no struggle tying them up. I wear size 7 and ordered 7. Fit perfectly with thicker sock. The soles look sturdy and waterproof/resistant for wintry conditions. I ordered 4 pairs of boots: Tundra Lacie, Tundra Dot and two Columbia's, the Ice maiden II slip on and this Ice maiden II lace up. The tundras went back. They were ok for the price but the Columbias were definitely better. The Ice Maiden II Slip on was nice and comfortable but this lace up boot looks more stylish with the contrasting texture of fabric and nice faux fur around the leg that you can snug up because of the laces.

My first pair of snow boots... Purchased them to take to Idaho in January, expecting a lot of snow. They are rated -25 degrees, and while we did not experience that weather, the boots were better than perfect. Could not have asked for more warmth. Very comfortable with all day, lots of walking, use. One day we treked 40 minutes through 3 feet of undisturbed snow; we sunk with every step. Fresh snow gathered around the top of the boots, but snow was easy to flick out with a finger, and no snow entered the boots. I got the shorter boot style, but would now get the higher style. During this day of walking in deep snow, the boots remained warm and dry. The only 'complaint' I have is fitting, however that could be my fault. Perhaps if I had ordered a half size smaller, I'd not complain... Even though I wore very thick, wool, insulated socks, the boots sagged a bit, and the portion around my shin tightened up to itself, rather than tighten around my leg. I would rather have them tighter, but perhaps it was designed this way for easier ankle movement. ??

As many people before me, I ordered half a size up, and it feels fine with room for a thick sock. These boots look super cute over skinny jeans. So far, they've been pretty warm and haven't let water through (it's gone down to maybe 25 degrees this winter).

These are great boots. They are easy to put on and take off and they're very comfortable. Fortunately it has not snowed since I got them, so I can't say how they do in the snow. I ordered a pair 1/2 size bigger than my shoe size, and they just fit, but I needed a little more room. I returned the boots, and ordered 1 size bigger than my shoe size, and they fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend these boots. Also, kudos to Zappos customer service! They're great! Marlon was very helpful in processing my return, and ordering another pair of boots. He had a great sense of humor, too. It is so refreshing to deal with a company that really does put customer service first.

These are the most comfortable boots and the best for cold weather walking. My feet are always cold and these boots kept my feet warm and comfortable.

Very warm and cute boot however I need more arch support.

These boots are so easy and comfortable to wear. They are quick to put on. I am just not sure they are overly warm. I usually have to wear a a pair of heavy socks with them to avoid feeling the cold.

With a pair of heavy socks, the size 9 fit my 8 1/2 narrow feet very well. Very comfortable on the first wearing.

Oh. My. Gosh. My feet have never been so cozy. And they look pretty great too.

These boots are awesome! Warm, comfortable, do yourself a favor and buy them!
