Got these delivered and they run small. I'm returning 8 1/2 and getting size 9 instead. Going to Moab, UT in about 3 weeks and I think these will work wonderfully in the Canyonlands.

I ordered these in a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and I am glad I did. The length is perfect. I feel the toe box to be a bit wide on me, but many shoes are. Still, they are great for work. I bought both colors and love them.

Looks like a decent-quality shoe. I wanted to like these shoes, but need to send them back, to me, they are not comfortable at all.

Sadly these sneakers are not very supportive or comfortable. No arch support. I love the look. But I would not recommend. Price was right.

I like the look of this shoe and the fit is okay, but I was disappointed in the shoe insole. It was thin and provided no arch support. I removed the insoles from a pair of older shoes that I don't wear much anymore, and I'm using those in the new shoes in place of the original insoles.

I love this shoe but I normally wear a ten and in this shoe it is a bit too small. Can't find it in 10.5. I'm hoping they don't discontinue it, and instead get more stock in. I used to wear another Columbia brand that I loved, but t they started having them made in a different country and they are now too small. Disappointing.

Can't seem to find the right size. 9.5 is what I typically wear but when I ordered 9.5 they were too small, my toe butted up to the front of the shoe. I returned and reordered 10.5, the 10.5 too big. Even though they were comfortable and I liked the style. I didn't want to mess with trying another size. I returned the 10.5 and went with another brand.

Very well put together however the foot bed cushioning is limited and hard as a rock.

So uncomfortable. No cushioning at all, even with superfeet replacing the insert for arch support. Never wear these on pavement if you want a comfortable walk. They feel like golf cleats with the hard luggy bumpy sole. I'm sorry I kept these. I really miss montrails.

Bought a pair of these last year, both in waterproof and non waterproof. My theory was that the non-waterproof ones would be more breathable and therefore better for using for my groundskeeping/ vegetable farm jobs. The waterproof ones became my new hiking boots as my tiny ankles are swallowed by anything that comes up too high. Well here it is a year later. The waterproof ones are great, and surprisingly breathable. The non waterproof ones, however, are soaked through with dew after an hour of work! They smell like death, to the point where I can't even wear them in public. So pro tip....the non waterproof ones are VERY porous and don't hold up well at all to the rigors of heavy outdoor labor. As an avid hiker, I am not sure I would use them for hiking at all either for the same reason. So get the waterproof ones! 100% worth it and their low profile makes for an excellent hiking boot substitute. I am not a boot person at all...I wear barefoot shoes as long as the temp is over 50 or so. These shoes have the precision of foot placement I seek in a shoe while withstanding my 50-60 lb heavy pack. Columbia may want to just discontinue the non waterproof ones entirely though...they are kinda worthless!

I bought these shoes a year ago. We do a lot of camping and long walks/hikes. They fit great, right out of the box. No time needed to break them in. The cushioning was a little thin so I added my own insole. without a problem. After a year of moderate use ( brought on about 4 camping trips and walked/hiked around 150 miles in them) the rubber sole, where it rises up over the toe, is separating. I probably used these shoes on more rigorous hikes then what they were intended for. If used for just walking, on moderately level surface, they would have held up fine.

The shoes are mediocre, but Columbia is the only company that makes women's size 12 hikers. It's unfortunate that women with large feet can't find a shoe that is comfortable and accommodates heavy hiking socks. Thanks Columbia for hanging in there, but could you put some padding in your insoles so the shoes are more comfortable? They are stable and solid; they're just not great.

Look really cool, but painful. I have worn them multiple times to break them in, but am still having big problems with them. Have worked a full day of high ropes (belaying) and walked around a full day and there was so much pain at the end of each. Giant blister on the side of my heel too. No way would I go running in these. Really glad I did not pay full price but still pretty bummed that I seem stuck w them as I gave them quite a while to break in but to no avail.

The cushioning in these shoes is non-existent, they run small, and have even less cushioning/support in the toe box.

I was looking to replace my beloved Columbia Brazens which have finally worn out and which are long discontinued. These are not it. I wanted a lightweight mesh sneaker with good arch support and these are heavy, stiff, bulky and with a raised heel in back that is sure to cause blisters because it angles inward. They are geared to hiking as the description says, not casual use, and so are not what I need at the moment. Mind you, this is what Columbia suggested as a replacement when I emailed them but these are just too clunky. I ordered a half size larger because that was the size I bought for my Brazens. They seemed much wider though but don't go by that because I only tried them on long enough to know they were too stiff for me and now they are being returned.

Great looking shoe, but for me they were terribly uncomfortable and I'm returning them. There is virtually no arch support and little padding, but this was remedied with my inserts. Even though I felt the toe box was roomy, the fit across the forward part of my foot was miserably uncomfortable - it's probably just me. I wore them around the house for about 30 minutes before deciding it was a bust. Maybe they would've broken in with time but I can't see paying the price and then hope a shoe becomes comfortable.

I purchased this hiking shoe because I wear a size 11.5 and have a hard time finding shoes that fit. This shoe is inexpensive for a hiking shoe and it feels inexpensive: no arch support, thin sole. Not a good choice for me.

Unfortunately the shoes did not fit and I lost money due to shipping and packaging costs on the return. I won't purchase again online.
