Good summer walking shoes; a bit stiff, but they are brand new!

Great shoes! Only reason for 4 stars is the inner sole has no arch support. But there were a good deal and I will buy an inner sole.

I have purchased many pairs of Columbia shoes and, for the most part, have been very pleased with the quality. I've worn these for two 6+ mile hikes and they are pretty comfortable. My only complaint is the insoles. They're not cushioned at all--just a piece of cardboard. Bought my regular size and they fit well. Adequate room in the toe box. Not overly roomy but conform well to my feet. The quality of the shoe itself seems okay.

I purchased a pair for my mother and will be ordering one for myself as well! I don't usually like low shoes, but this one is fantastic!

It is a good sturdy trail shoe, with good grip on the bottom. It has terrible insoles. Its like they assumed you would buy your own fancy ones anyway and just put in the crappiest insole they could make.

I bought this to take on our trip to Scotland and it worked out great and we walked anywhere from 5 to 11 miles a day. The only con I thought to this shoe was there is very little cushioning in the insole. I have custom inserts so I put those in and it was better. But all in all its a great shoe.

It is hard for me to find shoes in narrow. These shoes worked wonderfully for my skinny feet. I didn't have to wear big heavy socks " to make them work". Regular socks were fine. They did run a half size smaller than my usual shoe size. I also found the insole was not cushioned enough for my feet so I bought new insoles for them and they feel good now.

I got these shoes for weekend wear working around the house, walking, gardening, yeard work, etc. They are my "work" shoes. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 in hiking shoes & running shoes. 7 fit like a charm with descent padded socks. The shoe conforms very nicely and comfortably to my foot. Only downside is that the insoles do not offer much support or cushioning. After a day on my feet wearing them my feet hurt. The problem is easily solved by replacing the insoles with your favorite after-market insoles. I also tried the waterproof version of this shoe but did not like the fit of the shoe at all. The toe box of the waterproof version was different and not as comfortable for me.

Love the shoes! No break-in period required. The only negative is that the laces come untied very easily and require double knot to stay tied.

These were great for climbing, hiking, and dried in a decent time when they got wet at a waterfall. The shoes fit a little too perfect. I needed a tiny bit of space on the outer sides of the shoe because it kept rubbing on the bones that stick out at my toes.

Great shoe however I do not have very stable ankles and I am used to a flare type base for the heel. So my heel would roll a lot in these. if you have narrow feet and like the forefoot to bend more when you walk and a smaller heel these would be great ! I was really bummed these didnt work for me- backto the drawing board.

I wear a 7 1/2 and after reading some of the other reviews, I was a bit worried that I may need a size larger in these, because I have wide feet and one foot always fits more tightly in shoes on me, but these fit perfectly! No rubbing, no blisters, very comfortable. I've been a on a few small hikes on rough terrain and have had no issues. Love the style! I am very happy with this purchase.

I've been wearing these shoes for about two weeks now. They are definitely large in the toe and tightening the laces isn't enough. Otherwise a good shoe. I tend to be hard on shoes, but they seem like they'll hold up. Be aware that they are for summer use! The panels let in a lot of air, which will be great for summer hikes.

I really wanted to love this shoe. It is much slimmer than my older Columbia's but I could feel the stitching on the inside of the shoe at the front. I know, with any amount of time in the shoe it would result in blisters. I agree with other reviewers that the arch support is poor but I put in my own inserts.

I tried these on in a store before purchasing on the internet. The ones in the store had more cushion than the ones I received. Shoes are still comfortable. Very lightweight.

i was looking for something for running and hiking. This worked perfectly. Its a little heavy for serious runners, but I am not one so no problem. It has great traction! Its the normal great quality I expect from columbia products. My only complain is that it could use some arch support. If I was just using this for walking it would have been fine, but since I am jogging too, I added some padding. So far its great. Works just like a shoe

I really like this shoe. It is very light and very comfortable. For a hiking shoe it is attractive, if that is possible. Only thing that would make it better is if it were waterproof. Redmond makes one, but I don't like the looks of that shoe.

I was able to wear these shoes immediately without needing a break-in period. They seem flimsy - very lightweight, but so far, so good. I haven't taken them on lengthy hikes yet. I'm normally an 8.5 and they fit me fine without feeling too snug. I don't know why it's listed as being slightly small - maybe the sizing is inconsistent. I got the Boulder color and the photos are pretty accurate My only regret is that I'm starting to dislike these breathable mesh shoes. Dust/dirt gets inside and they wouldn't work if it's raining. So my next shoe will be a waterproof style.

Bought these for a trip to Colorado and I can't wait to put them to work. I ordered 1/2 size up and I'm very glad I did, they fit perfectly doing that. They're very comfortable and lightweight.

I anticipated the shoes would be a bit small but they are still a bit tight and I ordered the half size larger. Other than that they are comfortable enough and will work well on short day hikes. Hope they "break in" after wearing them a few more times.

Initially there were not much reviews for this and I run between 7.5 and 8. The 7.5 were only available at the time I purchased these shoes. Wore them a couple of times to hopefully stretch them out but they are too tight. They run really small so get a size up if you are between sizes. Now I am stuck with this shoe that doesn't fit. I wish the shoes had deeper tread. But other than that the quality of the shoes are good

In terms of style and durability, this shoe is great, but unfortunately, I had some fitting and comfort issues with them. I have a wide foot, and since they only came in 1 width size (B-medium), I initially felt some pinching and soreness in the ball of my foot. It's been my experience, though, that this tends to go away after my shoes are properly worn in. Wearing them in did help with the pinching, but the bottom/ball of my foot continued to get quite sore about midway through my hikes. So, I've had to buy some special insoles to remedy that situation. Overall, I still like the shoes and continue to wear them, and for a mid-priced shoe they've done pretty well.
