This is the most comfotable hiking boot. It does run small so get a bigger size than normal.

I love my Redmond boots. They are perfect to use on wet terrain such as the Northwest. I have been using them almost daily for the past 4 months and there is a small tear by where my pinky is. I believe the tear is due to the tightness of the boot on my feet and not the quality of the boot though. Even with the tear water still not coming in the boot. I do recommend to size up if you have chubby feet as they come small. I will definitely get me another pair that is a size bigger to be able to wear thicker wool socks.

I normally wear a 7.5 but ordered an 8 based on comments and the size chart. The 8 was still too small and had to reorder an 8.5. The return/reorder process was quick and efficient.
The shoe is comfortable and lightweight compared to other hiking shoe/boots I've had.

i've started buying size 9's now in closed toe shoes (typically 8-8.5 in open toed). felt like this pair (9) was a smidge short for me. also my little toe on each foot felt rubbed. going to return them, the fit is just not right for me. foot bed is narrow so wide feet wouldnt be happy. Otherwise...great looking shoe, sole has good tread, seemed made well. just not for my foot. bought on line, returning to the outlet mall (call at time of sale said i could).

Very nice weight and ankle support; however, the shoe box is more narrow than even I (with a narrow foot) can manage.
I'd also recommend:

I like the boot which was different color. weight is ok no to heavy as real boot, especial in long walk weight is a matter.

I love these shoes! I work 8-10 hour shifts and my feet never hurt while wearing these. And they are super water proof, I have been able to walk through puddles and creeks and my feet do not get wet. The only issue is they run a little small so I would get at least a half size bigger than your normal shoe size

When I received the boots I was super excited. I read other reviews stating that the boots ran small so I order a size up-the 7.5. Well when it arrived and I tried it, the boots were smaller than I expected. My right foot was pushed to the tip of the shoe. In reality I should have purchased an 8. My advice with this shoe would be to purchase a whole shoe size larger-not half.

After reordering a size up (I'm usually a size 11, but Columbia runs small so I got a 12) these boots are amazingly comfortable with little or no break in period. The ankle support is a huge positive factor along with being waterproof. I would recommend, but just order one size up from your usual size.

I'm a size 8.5 in every shoe I own but had to go up a full size for this boot to fit. This boot is definitely tailored for a more narrow foot. I took them on a 5 mile hike the day after I purchased them and had no problems at all. I'm very happy I found these boots and you can't beat the price!

My right is a bit wider than my left, so the right boot was a bit tight to begin with. But now after a couple weeks of wearing/walking the dog, they are comfortable. Truly waterproof and the grip is excellent.

The shoe color and style are beautiful. But, it is not fit to work because of hardness.

They are ok, but the do not have the same quality I have seen in the male boots (similar to this model). They are a little small and so not comfortable.

I'm looking for a mid hiking sneaker, a softer, lighter shoe than a regular boot, but with more ankle support than a regular hiking sneaker.
Unf this wasn't the right one for me. Ordered both a half and a full size larger and even the larger one felt tight with a thin sock. Also felt high heeled with a thick sole. Returned both pairs and am giving Keen Terradora Mids a try. Wish they had Columbia Fairbanks 503 Mid type shoe for women

These run small and narrow (and I have a long narrow foot) and have a very high and puffy toe box. Not for me. I ordered an 11M and would need an 11.5M if I liked them, which I don't.

Had to order pair one whole size bigger per previous reviews posted. Did my first hike in boots, and did not get any sores on feet or ankle. The only downfall was the grip of soles was not as good as I would want them to be. I still did some slip and sliding in them.

I had to order a whole size larger. Making a return and having to pay postage. I do fine them comfortable but not waterproof, which is what I was going for. Stuck with them now, box is gone before my feet got wet.

I haven't tried them outdoors yet but I have been wearing them around the house to break them in. They feel confortable to me. I do agree with the other two reviews that the sizes do run VERY small. I am usually a 5 - 6 but from reading the reviews on this boot I ordered a size 7 to be safe. I have a thumb's width of space at the toe end of the shoe and also have enough room to slip a finger in behind my heel.

I received this pair today but very dissapointed because it is too tight. I normally wear size 8 or 8.5 in US size and 40 in EU size. The comparison chart indicates that the equivalent for 40 EU size is 8 so I had decided to buy size 9 which is 41 1/3 in EU size (according to the chart) with hope to give my feet a little room for hiking. When I got the shoes I noticed that there was something wrong and checked the size information inside the shoes and found that the size 9 is equivalent to 40 EU size. I contacted the customer service immediately to inform them about my issue and also to request an update on the comparison chart. Hope they will respond it quickly.

The front tab comes unglued from the boot and it's no longer waterproof. Other than that a great boot
