These are great for anyone looking for mid high boots to protect your ankles. The fit is perfect and comfortable, and the cushion is nice. No pain or blisters with my first hike. Being water proof is also a plus! Overall, a great purchase.

These hiking shoes are great and supportive, especially on uneven ground. They keep your feet warm and dry even in the coldest conditions. i did add gel pads to make them even more comfortable.

This is my second pair of Columbia hiking shoes-I wore the others out after about five years. I recently purchased these and have only used them twice so far. They fit true to size for me and have some good additional ankle support. The only reason I wouldn't give this shoe a perfect rating it you would really need to try it on to make sure the arch support was enough and in the right spot for you. It is a little off for me, and I am particularly sensitive to arch support, but haven't had a problem with these shoes. So buy em! And try them on for sure.

Wife loves it. She wished she had this pair when she was hiking in Washington state.

This is the second pair of these hiking shoes I have had and the first was wonderful. Like all Columbia hiking shoes they have been sturdy and attractive. Unfortunately, this pair seems almost to have been missized. They were both too short and too narrow. All the other Columbia hiking footwear I have has been size 6. This pair is a mystery. I returned them.

Wore these straight out of the box for our spring break trip to Zion. Hiked three days in a row with no problems! They were light weight and felt true to size.

Extremely comfortable with orthotic inserts. I see reviews that these run small but I cannot confirm this as I intentionally purchased a size larger to accommodate the inserts and thicker socks. I also have the sister shoe the Women's Redmond Low Hiking Shoe that I love. I will definitely purchase another pair. My only issue is that after wearing them less than a dozen times and not all for hiking, these boots need the water proofing re-applied.

I finally found a hiking boot that fits my 11.5 narrow foot. This boot does run small and narrow lucky for me. I also use an orthotic so did not notice original arch support. All I know is I am a happy woman with these boots.

Took my Colombia Redmond's for a first time test on a strenuous hike up to Amphitheater Lake in the Grand Teton's. The path was rocky and when we got closer to the lake deep in snow. Even though I fell several feet through the snow my feet stayed dry and I didn't have any blisters at the end of my 10 mile hike. I would say this is a very good shoe. I did half a size up even before reading all the reviews about it running small due to feel of the shoe which I'm glad I did.

I normally wear 1/2 size larger for my hiking shoes and athletic shoes but beware, these boots run small! I needed to order a full size larger. I walked around my house wearing them and there's no way I can wear them hiking! My toes are against the toe of the boot. No wiggle room for when the fett swell up. They are well made though and nice and light!

Based on previous reviewers, I ordered this shoe one size larger. Excited for my order, but they were too big. I wasn't sure to go down just a 1/2 size or 1 size down to my normal 8. So, I went conservative and went down 1/2 size. They were also too big. Not sure if I want to keep trying to make this shoe fit although I like them. But, before you automatically order a whole size larger, they are not that big for everyone. Wish I would've just ordered the size I always wear. Thank God I ordered them from Zappos where I can return them easily and for free.

A very nice well-padded shoe. Unfortunately, it is not shaped like my foot. Watch out for the toe taper.

These boots feel great and require no breaking in before hiking! Unfortunately I had to order 3 times to get correct size. I wear a 6 1/2 regular shoe so I ordered a 7. Too small. 7 1/2- too small. Ended up with an 8! I've never worn an 8 in anything. So exaggerate your size when ordering. Oh I added Dr. Sholl's insoles too because little padding in the bottom of boot

Wow, this might be the first hiking boot I have gotten that actually fits without my having to put on a bulky sock. This definitely runs 1/2 size small but is well proportioned throughout. I haven't gotten to hike in these yet but I am really looking forward to giving them a try.

I have bought Columbia hiking boots for a number of years precisely because they run narrow. They are the only brand of hiking boots that come close to fitting my narrow foot. I bought these boots in my normal size (11), and I didn't find them to be too short, although I haven't worn them extensively yet. I'm happy these are Omni-Tech waterproof and not the OutDry...the OutDry boots that my husband and I have bought are too flexible and not padded enough around the ankle. These boots are exactly what I expected and wanted.

These are very nice shoes. Unfortunately, they were too small to actually get to know how they felt. Customer service was excellent for the return process. She couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. It’s a pleasure to deal with Zappos!

I have always ordered the same size shoe/boot, but based on the reviews, I decided to order a half size larger than normal. I am glad I did; otherwise I would have had to return the boots to size up. The boots are very comfortable so far. I hope they hold up over time as my last pair of Columbia boots did.

I ordered these shoes for my daughter on the same size as her sneakers but whe she tried them on they were way too small and I had to return them. This is a shame because they looked very nice and are very well made.

I wear a size 9 in running shoe and bought that for my hiking boot as well; however this felt to small in this boot. Otherwise it was fine

I was looking for a lightweight, but supportive and rugged-soled hiking boot. This met all of my criteria, but ran too wide for me, so that it was creasing in the toe area enough to be uncomfortable. I really wish this boot came in narrow! I am having a very hard time finding hiking boots in narrow widths.
