I bought a medium in Calypso for her; she is a very lanky five-ten, and she weighs 140 lbs. She adores it. Got it so that she would remain warm while out on her very early 5:45 AM, frigid, bicycle rides before work. The color of the blue in real-life seems to be a little bit lighter than what the picture of the Calypso portrays. She has olive/white skin, and the blue really brightens up her face! I mean, we both love the color on her. She uses the Rho when it is super cold, and when the two Phase SV base-layers I got her (to wear under her Atom LT hoody mid-layer, and her Kappa Hoody hard-shell layer) are simply NOT warm enough. She runs very cold, body temperature-wise, but this base layer keeps her toasty. When she doesn't need to wear the Atom mid, she just wears her Rho right under her Kappa. And, she is ecstatic that "she" has finally found something that will actually keep her warm AND dry while she is out fighting the early AM wind-chill factor on her bike. And, the Rho has long enough arms that she can still lean forward to reach the handlebars of the bicycle, but yet it still hugs her pretty figure flatteringly. She really does look good in it because not only does the color compliment her face, but the sheer, body-hugging fit looks like it was tailored just for her.

I work weekends all winter as a ski instructor and use this as my primary base layer. Comfortable and warm. The real test, however, was when I was hunting and sitting for hours at a time in sub-freezing weather. It came through for me. You should consider a version in camo. -JCON

For others that are interested in the product the blue version is more teal than what the image online is showing. This a thick layer and I was looking for a thinner base layer.

This is easily the softest, cosiest lining ever. Like Golden Retriever puppy soft. The only thing that keeps it from being the perfect base layer is the zipper. As others have said, it simply won't stay up. In really cold conditions I wear a gaiter over it but it should be designed to stay zipped on it's own.

Five star product. Great fit, warmth, color. I just had to pull a star because it's not really a base layer it's more of a pull over sweater. Great product though, well worth it.

Parfait.

Gutes Tragegefhl.Wrde das Produkt auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen

I purchased this as a stand alone piece for running on brisk days (~10 degrees C). I like the feature of the half zip to regulate temperature during the course of my run. And it fits well and feels comfortable. While this shirt is great and providing warmth and a cozy feel, it does not wick moisture very well. I found that midway through my run as I started to sweat more, I would get sweat dripping down my skin inside the shirt, instead of it soaking into the shirt and wicking away. Perhaps I sweat more than most, but I find that the fabric on shirts like the Delta MX does a better job of wicking moisture away. Overall, it doesn't feel great once you start to sweat. I am hopeful that perhaps it works better for moderate activity (walking, hiking), where the fabric may be able to keep up with the rate of sweating. One other small thing. When you run, the zippers bounce around and jingle. Kind of sounds like you have a dog collar on. Not a problem if you listen to music.

The new fit is geared towards overweight people so it's tight and uncomfortable in the arm pit/chest area and huge and baggy around the waist. So bizarre they would choose to go more mainstream and cater to that group VS more athletic people who actually use the gear as intended VS just a name brand to wear

I loved rho lt, and thought to buy a warmer version for colder days. So I bought rho AR. It fits fine, and is very warm. BUT the material!!!! It balls up after ONE wear. And I wore it with Ravenna jacket from Arcteryx. It's everywhere on my arm and on the back. Consider how expensive this baselayer is, I'm very disappointed. Better off with Rho Lt.
