I used this baselayer for 23 straight days through a wilderness mountaineering expedition in New Zealand. During this I was hiking up and over mountain ranges, through brush, on glaciers, digging glacier camps, etc. It is hands down the best baselayer I've ever had in terms of warmth, weight, and value. Some notable features that other baselayers don't have/include: The left arm zipper pocket is stretchy enough to hold a headlamp if you aren't wearing a midlayer/anything else with pockets. The bottom hem (which is flared slightly larger than average hip width) does so just enough to fit over a baselayer bottom, but not be baggy. It's length falls mid-butt, and is clingy enough that it doesn't ride up and expose your mid/lower back. All in all it's an awesome baselayer. Warm, packable, and has saved me on more than a few cold glacier nights, or just walking around town! Hands down worth the expense, and an absolute joy to wear. Good luck stopping your friends from stealing it!

This baselayer will not disappoint. In fact, I own 3 of them now. It fits very snug and is extremely warm. On multiple occasions I have worn just this piece over a shirt in 40 degree weather and been perfectly comfortable. When pared with a few other layers for cold temps, it manages to keep you extremely warm yet not sweaty.

I have the Rho set, including a pair the Cold WX LEAF tops and bottoms. These are great. In almost any condition, the rho paired with an atom and a shell will keep you warm, comfy and dry.

Excellente premire couche.

My wife and I have over 40 pieces of Arcteryx gear including LEAF jackets and pants. We live on an island in BC and live in our Rho gear from November to March. Great against the skin never gets sticky in damp cold conditions

Living in Minnesota the temperatures will dip to -20 F (-29 C) with blustery winds. This base layer, owned and used for over a year, stands up to the coldest challenges. The inside layer of micro-fleece is soft and amazingly comfortable on the skin and the piece flexes with the body seamlessly. Whether I'm standing still out in the cold watching over my two young boys, x-country skiing, shoveling snow, or taking the dog for a walk...the RHO is my go to.

When anyone says they get cold this is the base layer I suggest to people, I have worn it in 30 degree temps while running and it works perfectly. It s really comfortable so I can wear it around the house or when I am climbing. So if you get cold this is the best option, its lightweight, breathable, warm, and wicks moisture really well. Best base layer out there!

this is the best thing which I have used as a base/mid layer. I am using it all year for biking, in the winter for snowboarding, in the summer to keep me warm at the campsite during cold nights. in my opinion this is must have position for everybody. I have 2 pcs of it, and will buy few more in the future for sure.

Been in Canada for a few months and weather gradually cooled down. On the skinny side so normal light weight baselayers require heavier mid layers or a big jacket. With this I have finally overcome the extra weight or layer I needed. I recommend this to all and especially those lacking natural insulation.

I will post here very short review, it is a great piece of clothing for COLD WEATHER and LOW OUTPUT activities, example is winter camping. Main reason for my warning, it lacks moisture-wicking properties. I went for my relaxing run at -10 C and all sweat was accumulating between skin and this shirt, I came back home, took it off, turned it inside out and got puddle of sweat on my floor that came dripping from inside of this shirt. Outside of this shirt was almost dry.

This is a well-fitting, super warm, comfortable, stylish, long underwear, nice enough to be worn as a shirt. I have been in search for something like this for years and am so glad-EUREKA- I have found it. Yeah, it's expensive. But once you've worn it you'll understand the pricing and the reason why it is sold out at a lot of places (Zappos has no more blue!) The sizing is PERFECT; a lot of times you seek an extra small and the fit is too boxy or it is still too large or bulky. This fits nicely and still allows you to have a womanly figure without resorting to buying children's sizes, which never works (I am 5'4" and 95 pounds). The sleeves are longs enough (I have average length arms). The length of the Rho is long, but I have a long torso; the coverage is nice, though, and goes past most jackets and hoodies. The zip neck is fantastic and allows you to regulate your temperature in a flash. There is a zip pocket on the upper left arm for a key or mad money, which comes in handy. Really the best, densest, softest underwear ever. I layer it, I wear it alone, I wear it all the time. It is my go-to piece this winter.

I had the Rho LT and wanted something a little warmer for colder runs. The Rhos AR turned out to be perfect. It's very lightweight and breathes even on longer runs. I'm 6'0 and 175 and normally wear a 42 jacket and the Large fits very well. Medium would be too tight and an X-Large would be way too big.

I love this thing. Really comfortable to wear- especially around the neck where some others can be uncomfortable. Definitely a good material for a number of activities. Warm and quite light. I use it as general purpose midlayer.

I love to wear this Rho AR on the coldest of cold winter days. It keeps me warm on days 10F or colder. It is very comfortable and perspiration is no match for the fast drying technology in the Rho AR.

I love this one especially for sailing in long races (few days on the wavy sea and cold conditions) together with wool base layer or without any base layer at all. I have found this material perfect for keeping me warm during long hours of inactivity (just staying in cockpit, and sailing for 2 days towards this next turn), and keeping me dry at the short periods of intense activity (lot of rush and very power demanding work on ropes). Other materials are just too light to stay warm when you rest or do not transfer moisture quick enough when you sweat a lot. Sure - you will need some good windproof, waterproof, and very breathable jacket to complete this, but in my opinion this second layer (or base if the conditions are not freezing) is most important for good performance and peace of mind. I am tall (196cm), slim (90kg) person and size L fits me very well - a bit of room for base layer, but not too much, so I can use it without base as well.

I use it all the time, and it works really well as a single layer underneath either my Alpha SV, or my older Theta LT. Otherwise, if I use a mid layer over the Rho AR with an outer shell, too, I sometimes get too hot, unless it is really cold out.
