Dj propritaire d'une veste ATOM Light sans capuche, j'ai achet le Hoody AR dans la perspective de sorties en montagne cet hiver. Dj test en fort ce week-end (petites chutes de neige fondue, 4C) sous un shell. Isolation parfaite. La capuche bien ajuste joue son rle. Dj ravi de mon achat !

From a blizzard in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to hiking the Rocky Mountains in Montana to walking the streets of London in May, the Atom AR Hoody is a perfect combination of fashion, warmth, and versatility. When coupled with a baselayer pullover, this jacket is unparalleled when it comes to warmth. I've comfortably worn this jacket well below freezing weather conditions while keeping my core warm, able to keep tracking through those hard winter miles.
While Arc'Teryx comes with a seemingly hefty price tag, you have to take the conditions in which you're wearing the gear in: (1) Do you want the most durable fabric out there coupled with ingenious ingenuity? (2) Do you want a no-nonsense piece of gear that'll endure whatever you throw at it? If you're not a hardcore adventurer, I wouldn't recommend paying the price because you're not going to stretch the limits of the product. There are much cheaper options out there that'll suit your needs. But IF you are a hardcore adventurer who wants to be able to run out of the office and up a mountain, look no farther; just go with Arc'Teryx. It'll save you the worry of ruining your gear and provide comfort and warmth in whatever situation you find yourself in.

I am very please with this jacket. Light and easy to pack. I went camping in this weekend and despite the windy and cold temperatures I was warm and dry. I would definitely recommend it to others.

This jacket is excellent. I've been wearing it nearly everyday in this very early Chicago winter. I run pretty warm so it suffices for 20 degrees and up. Anything under and I need to layer up.

I bought this for my wife last year and this has become her favorite jacket. Now she wants the LT as well because even as light as this one is, it keeps her too warm. She is 5'6" 125 lbs, and went with a small. It fits her perfectly. She recommends this jacket to everyone.

This is by far the best coat I have ever owned.
I love it so much that I am dying to get another one! I just love the new Labrynth color for this 2019/20 season.
Everyone should own one of these for their favourite activity and bombing around town.
What an awesome product!

I have owned my Atom AR for 6 years now and can say it the best jacket I've ever owned. It is so versatile in which you can adventure in it but also look good and slick with it on in the city.
All around jacket that you won't want to miss out on.

I've not had the Atom AR for long but it has quickly became my go to jacket.
I chose Arcteryx as I have had experience with their LEAF line in the past, their products are durable enough to endure an abundance of conditions and a variety of environments. I was sceptical before purchasing the Atom as I worried it would not match the performance of the products I have used previously. To my pleasant surprise the Atom has outperformed my expectations as I wasn't counting on a product that performs so well. The weight to performance ratio is first class, Its warmth retention is amazing but not overwhelming to the point you have to remove it, the rain and wind resistance has excelled in the conditions I've put it through so far. My favourite aspect of the Atom is its versatility, you can move from vehicle, to outside, to indoors without noticing the change in temperature.
My only concern is the durability of the outer material, so far it has performed just as well as the other aspects. It may just be my scepticism but i feel the outer layer may become torn due to abrasion.
Besides that i strongly recommend this jacket as its definitely an essential for the colder months.

One of my favorite cold-weather jackets.
I bought for my daily winter commute in NYC, where I'm active for short walks to/from trains. I Wanted to be warm on the walk, but not steaming once in the train.
The ATOM AR went past my expecations for that role, and excels in so many ways.
The hem-adjusters and the elastic on the sleeves keep out drafts. The DWR is fine for most light-rain /snow days. Jacket blocks the wind, and the fleece in the pockets keeps you toasty. (I've debated cutting out pass-thru holes in hardshells just to access those pockets!)
I've found it works great on its own from 50s-30s, from 30s and lower layer up a bit more. NOTE: this is assuming you are active, not static!
For me, the fit is perfect. I'm 5'8" with ~41" chest.
Whishlist? Chest zip pocket on the outside. A hood that doesn't expect you to have a helmet.

I have the Atom LT but wanted something a little warmer but all of the same features.. the Atom AR is the perfect warmth. A great piece to have as a middle layer in the winter or a throw on jacket on a chilly day. Super durable (for all those dog parents put there)

I bought this jacket about a month ago and have used it in many different ways.
Urban: Wearing this jacket while wandering around the city in the fall, it's super warm and looks goods.
Backcountry: The trim fit makes it very comfortable to wear with a backpack and the breathability made it so I wasn't soaking wet after 13km on a warm fall day.
The best thing about this jacket is the weight, before buying the Atom I always used a fleece jacket which is heavier for less warmth and I can say that you will notice the weight difference while hiking.
My one complaint it the collar, I wish there was a little bit of fleece (like in the pockets) on the part of the collar the rubs on your chin.

I bought my ATOM AR jacket for a recent adventure trip cycling 12,500 miles from Ushuaia, Argentina to Vancouver, Canada.
Over the 11-month period the environment changed dramatically and for prolonged periods the jacket would simply be packed down into one of my panniers, waiting for use. But when temperatures fell, such as in Patagonia, Peru, Oregon & Canada, it was invaluable. Its lack of bulk and great fit means it works really well with layering with a shell jacket if the weather turns really bad.
Probably the most impressive aspect of this jacket, apart from its amazing warmth to weight ratio, is its durability. Even after my trip it still looks and performs great.
My only minor issue is that the pocket lining sometimes gets caught in the pocket zipper and gets stuck. A little frustrating but overall doesn't detract from this being one of my essential bits of kit, whatever my adventure.

Love, love, love this jacket. I'm using it all the time for fall weather and can't wait to try it out in winter when I go snowshoeing. Packs down to small size so will be my go-to jacket when I travel to Europe.

Honestly the best Jacket I have owned so far. I had the LT jacket and found I was constantly getting cold so I ordered myself the AR. And wow!! What a difference, no matter where I go or what I am doing this jacket is always my first pick. Its breathable, warm and lightweight. Packs small into any suitcase and I have never gone a day without it. Great for the chilly summer nights and warm enough for the cold winter days. I absolutely love this jacket!! If you don't own one yet you need this jacket....

Recently I ordered the Atom AR hoody, size S, collor Neptune (and also the Beta AR, size S, collor Tui).
The Atom AR fits great. I've got enough space to move and it feels like I'm wearing a soft sleepingbag.
Last week I was walking to the supermarket, wearing the Atom AR, when it suddenly started to rain. The DWR coating worked better than expected!
So far I am very excited about the jacket. It's warm, it fits great and it is very comfortable. Great as a stand-alone piece, or as a mid-layer under my Beta AR.

I bought it as a mid layer for skiing and I discovered it's the perfect mid layer jacket for sailing: it delivers the wamth you need, without being bulky at all.
I'm the last memebr of the crew who needs to go down to catcht the external layer, when the weather turns cold.
I am waiting for the full lenght pants!!!
