I love these! I wanted to leave a review since I almost didn't buy them when I read other reviews about the new model having a different fit. I have the old Rho LTs and while they are cozy to sleep in, the waist is too big. So I never wear them when I'm being active. These have a smaller but stretchier waist, so the fit is perfect and they stay up without needing a drawstring. If you have the wool version, the fit is just like those. I'm 5'2 and have a curvy athletic build. I'm usually a size 4/6 but got a medium in these. They're perfect.

I run in most weather, hot or cold. Over the Christmas break the forecast was predicting -35C in Calgary before considering windchill. With no solution in my closet I asked around one of the retail staff in the Arc'teryx store recommended both the Rho LT and the Rho AR.
I bought them both
I'm a big guy. 230 lbs, 5' 11", 32" inseam. Athletic build. The pants fit great, expand nicely over the legs and glutes. Movement is easy - nothing feels restrictive.
At -20C the Rho LT + thin track pants weren't too bad at all. They fit nicely under a pair of Arc'teryx Trino tights as well. Large bottoms under XL Trino tights.
Anything colder than -20C and I put on the Rho AR bottoms with the same thin track pant to break the wind. A perfect set up. It was -41C including windchill during my 10km run and I felt great the entire time. Easy to move in.
The one concern I had when buying them there's no draw string in the waist, however the waistband has performed perfectly and the pants stay up - they stay where they're put.
I was encouraged to wash the AR's inside out to avoid pilling and so I do just that. No issues with pilling.
5 runs so far in the Rho AR bottoms - about 70kms all together. Everything is holding up and holding shape.
By the way, the side pocket, while handy, I haven't figured out what to put in there (yet) LOL.
The Rho AR bottoms have been a great investment. Zero regrets. While I saw one reviewer wish for a fly, I don't care I haven't missed a fly.
Highly recommend.

I have wanted a pair of these for a number of years but they were always out of stock. I love the cut and fit, they work well under my Alpha bibs. I'll probably get a second pair, because why not! I have been wearing them around the house and the outer fabric does pill a bit. While I prefer short inseam these aren't to bad for length

She cannot complain, absolutely no, as these bottoms keeps here really warm. No further compromises - only warm, in all conditions. Would like to add that the RHO AR are not even less in terms of design. I have got the same for man, and they are lifetime. DON'T SIZE UP, and IF doubt go down 1 size.

I cannot get over how comfy these are. The soft fleece lining is everything I hoped for and it feels like I'm wearing a soft cloud. I haven't used these for skiing yet but have worn them for a long travel day flying across country and they're easy to move and live in. Definitely warm, maybe too warm for an airplane, but I know they'll do the job on cold ski days. Been hearing great things about the Rho for years and am so glad I finally snagged a pair.
I'm 5'4" and weigh between 130-140. I got the medium because I carry my weight in my thighs and butt. I probably could've fit into the small for a skin tight fit but prefer the more comfortable fit of this one.

I can't say enough about how amazing these leggings are. They are super warm and the material is amazingly soft and stretchy. The waist isn't too tight or too loose, so they actually don't fall down or get pulled down when you sit. They are great worn by themselves or under other pants. They only thing I could think that might improve them is to make the pocket a little bit bigger. And please make more colors!!

These are so comfortable, warm and durable. Use them as base layer for skiing in cold conditions, and wear them alone on cold weather runs. I'm 5k' 11" 165lbs waist is 34 and I don't like my pants tight on my waist so the large fits me perfectly.

I run trails in Colorado at 4AM in the morning; needed a warm pair of tights for the colder winter months. These tights worked out better that I expected. I love them.

A perfect base layer for mid-Winter expeditions in Scotland. I can't wait to try them out in the Himalaya!

Bought these to help stay out of the lodge during a Covid ski season but will use them for all future pandemic-free seasons. Perfect weight to provide remarkable extra warmth (more effect than I expected from additional leg insulation) but not too sweaty when it's a little warmer. Very comfortable and really glad I got them.

I have cold legs, and these are awesome. They are my thickest thermals. Full disclosure, I wear these around the house the most, but they are excellent for camping, skiing on cold days, as a single layer (or for people like me, as a thick base layer). The only downside - I have some grey ones (yes, terrible color) and they don't look great as a solo layer. They have pilled, but I also wear them under other layers, so that doesn't surprise me.
Also, I usually wear a "small" in leggings and went with the Mediums as I wanted them to be a looser fit. They still hug me but not skin-tight. Haven't tried them in a small.

I was searching for a fleece layer for extra warmth while adventuring outside in Colorado winter and these are perfect! Not only are these super warm but comfortable too! I also love the color! And the pocket, YES! These have become my go-to base layer and well, lets be honest, my first pick for cozy lounge wear too. I should probably order a second pair... could you put more in stock please? :)

Perfect athletic style mid-layer for cold weather activities. Bought them initially for cold weather cycling and alpine skiing but use them for any cold weather activity like hiking or skating. For weather between 0c and -20c I wear these over a pair of Motus AR baselayer bottoms and that keeps me warm and dry. The pocket is on the small side and material is prone to rips if not careful. Otherwise, it's the perfect mid-layer to keep warm and dry during cold weather activities.

I am 5'0" and 105 lbs. I was worried about buying these pants without trying them on but they fit perfectly. I have a hard time finding proper fitting pants so I'm happy I won't need to return these! They are too long and will need to be hemmed but that's expected. I love the fleece lining of my baselayer tops (I recently purchased the RHO AR zip up) so I was hoping to find a fleece lined pant. I get cold easily so I love the versatility of being able to wear this as a stand alone pant or to layer with rain or snow pants!

I bought these for long walks outside in NJ during the middle of winter. I find that unless it is really windy, they keep me warm down to the single digits. I've even taken to wearing them to work from home on particularly chilly days. I own both colors - the one piece of feedback I could give for improvement is that both are the same size (M) but both the waste and length differ by more than I'd expect (about an inch difference). At 5' 9", I wouldn't want these any shorter.

I bought these leggings last season to use under my hard shell pants for ski season, and I also ended up using them as a stand alone for xc skiing. They were warm enough for pretty much every day of the ski season, and seem to have held up well to frequent washing with only some light pilling. They do run a bit large, and am glad I sized down to medium. A very sleek look, and I love the whiskey jack colour.
