Great quality, and gorgeous color (green). Unfortunately the hood was too short for me, which made it very uncomfortable and unusable.

The quality of the materials met my expectations. The slightly curved fit is flattering. I could not give the coat a five-star rating because I agree with other reviewers that the hood is much too small. The hood is so short in length that it doesn't fit over my head. I've rendered it useless. I hope the designers will seriously consider the reviews and make the hood longer in length in future production runs.

I bought a large in this as the mediums in navy were sold out. This replaces my Waterbury coat which I absolutely love. I think a medium would have fit better, but I'm not unhappy with the large. It's quite long on me, longer than the Waterbury.

Unfortunately the coat I received had a defect in the upper arm of one of the sleeves. It's like there's something yanking on your arm in the sleeve. So it has to go back. I almost always wear a large and the large was tight. I do like the clean lines of this coat though. It's flattering.

I love this coat but the sizing doesn't work for me. The large is too big and the medium too small. I'm 5'6, 170lbs. Size 10/M in clothes. The Marmot coat is warm without being too bulky, and it's a nice length on me (a little bit longer than the regular size LL Bean 850 coat). The cut is also flattering for a heavy coat.

Had to return it; the hood is too narrow and it is longer than I thought and not very flattering.

Loved the fit and color of the coat. Unfortunately, the zipper did not extend all the way to the bottom of the coat, the inner sleeve cuff was loose and the hood a bit too small with the faux fur trim off, so opted for another coat.

I just received this coat and wanted to share what I have found out about this coat. I'm 5'7" and weigh 160 lbs and wanted some extra room so I ordered a XL. The first thing I noticed is that the sleeves come to the middle of my hand and I have fairly long arms and have never had this problem before. The cut of the sleeves around the shoulders seems off, it makes your ability to move your arms forward a bit difficult. The length was perfect. Overall the coat looks great and other than those 2 things I mentioned I really like it. Not sure if I'll keep it though because of the way the sleeves are attached, it would be bothersome every time you tried to reach forward.

This coat is quite noisy compared to other insulated coats. I guess from the waterproof exterior. It fit well (medium, at 5'6 155lbs), and the fur hood was nice, but I preferred a quieter parka.

While the coat is severely warm, and no doubt you will not get cold in this coat. It was a little stiff. And the Hood, I guess it's a Marmot thing, is huge...I mean huge! Unless I'm missing something I have tried 3 coats by Marmot, loved the warmth, but cannot figure out how people walk around with this hood? It literally comes to my chin covering my entire face where I cannot see anything. How can one walk? I had to return this as for the price, I expected a less stiff fabric & a hood that was functional, not meant to sit and not walk around.

This coat is beautiful but big. I'm giving the coat 4 stars instead of 5 because of the fit. The appearance and material are amazing, the coat is so warm. I'm 5'4", 103 and the XS was enormous, even with a heavy sweater underneath. Sadly it's going back and the search continues.

I'm so sad to return this coat because I can tell it's well made but the hood is so annoying. It was also really big on me so I should of sized down to a XS. I'm 5'2 118 lbs and ordered size s.

Nice Jacket, was disappointed with quality. Jacket color and fit are awesome and this jacket is really warm while being stylish. On the 2nd day of use, the loop used to hang the jacket ripped out on one side. To test, I pulled gently on the part still attached and it also pulled away from the jacket. I was able to contact the repair service and send it in for repairs, but I had to pay the cost of shipping and not sure when I will get it back. Overall, great jacket, just a little disappointed with the quality from Marmot with this item.

This coat would be ideal for someone with HIPS. I have none. Although it fit great in the shoulders / torso/ hips, it literally 'flared' below the waist, I felt like I was wearing a dress from the 1800's with a bustle Sent it back for the Strollbridge. Hoping that is a better style for a woman that's 'straight' through the hips. 5'8/ 165 lb/ size 8/10 pants. Bought a Large.

The warmth and weight of this coat was perfect. The waterproof material seems like it would last. The fur hood lining actually looks good, not cheap like other brands. The fit was terrible. Too tight in the shoulders, too baggy everywhere else. Felt like I was wearing a giant trash bag. If you have tiny shoulders and a big booty, this coat is for you but not me.

I am 5'9" and weigh 140 pounds and the M coat was a perfect fit with two exceptions. The hood was too small to cover my average sized head completely without the fur (which was unflattering but fortunately removable). But worse were the neck snaps that were so high the neckband rubbed my chin. Very annoying and uncomfortable. Unfortunately had to return it.

You may like this coat for the same reasons I did not. This coat is designed to maximize a trim look while still retaining the warmth of the down. For me this meant a restriction in movement that I did not enjoy. I'm 5'5" and 150 pounds. I usually wear a size 8 pants, but since I am booby and strong, I end up in extra large shirts. So I got an extra large in this coat. But I felt I could not move as comfortably as I like. I ended up buying a Northface Shavana which is made with more of a straight up and down cut and and adjustable waist belts to cinch out the cold. That coat gave me the freedom of movement I enjoy. But again, if you really want a trim look this coat may be exactly what you want.

This coat is for for pear-shaped women with small waists and large hips. If you have a straight waist/thick torso like me, the middle will be too tight and the bottom will be too large. Sadly returning.

I liked everything about the coat except that when I put the hood on it came down over my eyes and when I took off the faux fur around the hood thinking that might help, then the hood didn't cover my head enough. There seemed to be no way for me to win, so it's going back. I bought it primarily as a raincoat option and really wanted to have a hood to pull up on my head, not over my eyes.

This was a lovely jacket overall. Warm, stylish. I like that the outer layer is more durable than the nylon usually used on puffy jackets. I also liked that the hood was still substantial even after the fur was zipped off. But the sound the fabric makes when you walk is really distracting. I am out walking constantly, so I'm returning it. :(

I'm really disappointed in this coat. I bought it specifically because I thought that it would keep my thighs warm; it doesn't. On cold days it feels like I don't even have a coat over my thighs. Plus, the hood is tiny, I can barely fit it over a winter hat. I would return it if I could.
