Perfect fit, great style. 5'7" 140 ordered a medium. So warm and love that it looks so great without the bulk. Hood is tight and close to the head, but as I'm realized, it is perfect when worn with a hat and pulled up, walking on a windy, snowy day.

The coat is light weight and warm, and is not too bulky. The zip-off hood is a plus as are the internal cuffs on the sleeves.

Really warm coat! I love the gray color, the removable hood and the fitted cuffs to keep my arms warm. Easy to walk in thanks to fuller hem. It brushes off easily if you get salt on the coat when scraping your car off. I wear this coat to and from work and for walking outside. Very happy with is coat!

I love this coat. It is so warm for the Chicago winters and surprisingly lightweight. Other reviews talked about a small hood but I am not seeing it. It fits my big Irish head with ease. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Coat is well-made, warm, and light. I was unsure about sizing, but went with an XL. I'm a 5'8, 43 hip, and 45.5 bust. I can fit a midweight layer underneath comfortably without feeling stuffed in to the coat. Length is perfect for me. This jacket is light and easy to wear. I don't get the hood complaints. It is tight to your face, but why not want that? The windchill was -21 in Northern New England today and the hood kept the wind off my neck and ears. I recommend this coat!

This jacket is awesome! Just moved from New Orleans to Cape Cod and it keeps me warm and dry on my daily beach walks in any weather so far. Length and fit are great, and I like the fabric.

I love this coat!. I really like the style. It's both streamlined and warm. The quilting is inside, so you can avoid the 'puffer-look'. This coat could be worn both a trip to NYC or during a winter sporting activity. It's that versatile. The hood is as others mention a touch small. I ordered both a S and an M. I am a size 6-8 and a small in LL Bean. However, I'm definitely not a Small in this coat (5'7" & 130 lbs). The S is going back. The M arrives tomorrow.

Love this coat. And it's a fraction of the cost of Canada Goose. Keeps you very warm (in northeast US winters) and the length and sleeves are great, even for a person who is 5'11 like myself. I get the comment about the hood being shallow but unless your head is a watermelon, you should be okay using the hood.

I bought my Chelsea years ago, and it still looks great. I've always gotten compliments on it. The outer material is tougher (and more attractive) than a lot of the "sleeping bag" down jackets out there. However, I do get cold in this jacket once it gets very cold (< 20 degrees). It's great for Seattle winters, but not necessarily the coldest snap of a New England winter.

I bought this coat for living in Alaska. I liked that it was longer to cover more of my legs during the rain and snow days. Also, they carry a bigger size that actually fits unlike other brands. So far it has kept me plenty warm with all of the snow I have experienced. The hood fits good with the fur lining but comes up a little short without the fur lining which I removed for the rainy days so that did not help with getting rain in my face. It might not be the most flattering coat, but I was more concerned about staying warm and dry in Alaska after living in Arizona all my life.

I bought this coat 10 years ago as a freshman in college in upstate NY, and never looked back. It's amazing. The inside is incredibly warm - it's like wearing a down comforter, and I actually used to have to unzip it a bit on long uphill walks to class; and the outside withstands wind and wet weather very well and even made a full recovery from a spilled glass of wine (#college). The lined cuffs and pockets are great features. I've moved a lot the last few years, so it's seen some years of daily use and some years with only a couple weeks of use - still good as new. Overall, awesome winter coat, 10/10 recommend!! For reference, I'm 5'6" and have fluctuated between 125-135lbs, size small has been great with just enough room for bulky sweaters and still warm with just a thin shirt as well.

I am a busty 5'4 about 145 pounds and so ordered the XL at first figuring size 14, but it was too large and so I sent it back for a L, which fits perfectly--looks great, stylish and slim even over many layers.

I bought this in black so it's a sophisticated city coat. It's perfect for cold days and cool rainy ones in Chicago. When I don't want to carry a purse I can put my wallet and phone in the interior zipper pocket.

26F at 5'5" and 125lbs, and while I could fit both small and medium, I decided to go with the medium for layering. On the medium, the shoulders fit me perfectly, but the waist is a bit wide and doesn't cinch in. That's the sacrifice for comfort! The color, Dream State is BEAUTIFUL. It's the perfect rosy mauve. The picture makes it look like a powder pink, but it's a perfect wintery pink. Also, it was a lot lighter in weight than the other coat I was looking at, which was the North Face Arctic Parka. Because I live in the midwest, we get cold snaps but not literal blizzards. It's literally perfect!

This coat delivers. It's been great to have for those early morning dog walks in single digit temps. I am never excited to spend a lot for a coat like this, however, it is well made and should hold up well for many seasons of cold weather. I think it's a good value.

Very warm coat and just what I needed for corporate meetings in Chicago where temperatures were in the teens with a stiff wind blowing. This coat worked with dresses and suits as well as casual evening wear. I did notice a few feathers coming through the lining that other reviewers noted but it is very minor. However, having a warm coat is worth a few stray feathers for me! This is the second Marmot coat I own - the first one is going strong after nearly 10 years ... they are stylish and made to last!
