Comfy, and definitely waterproof. Only a little too warm (my feet are dry otherwise, but consistently sweaty when I take them off). Still, I consider it a good purchase, and especially happy with the way it looks.

Actually I take two Columbia model with size 13 and this Redmond and found that Redmond is less than previous model in 0,5-0,7 cm in foot. It is highly uncomfortable - especially when I select wide size!

Definitely felt smaller than listed size and width. Unavailable a 1/2 size larger unfortunately.

I normally take an 11.5 extra wide shoe. I ordered the 12 wide. After trying them on, I'm convinced I'd need a 14 wide to fit the width of my foot, but the length would be too long. I returned them right away.

The stupid shoe laces keep coming untied! This is the third pair of hiking shoes that I have ordered from here, where the shoelaces keep coming undone.

The problem I had with these shoes and many other brand of shoe that I purchased from Zappos was that the shoelaces always come undone for no reason at all. I was constantly having to retie my shoelaces, I finally sent them back.

I already have a couple pair of the 6" boots like this. Great fit, toe box big enough so toes are not squeezed. These low tops were the same width (medium) but fit completely different. Felt very narrow. Got the same size in a Wide and they are perfect. Fit just like the boot version. Maybe they're each made in different facilities. Ah well.

My only negative comment is that this shoe was purchased to replace the Columbia Granite Ridge size 12 E width, which felt too narrow. The Redmond was supposed to be a EE width but it felt narrower than the Granite Ridge. I am returning the Redmond for that reason.

I really wanted to get these shoes to fit. I was replacing a pair of Columbia hiking shoes of a very similar style in size 14 D. I accidentally purchased these in 13D and were say too small - so small that once I realized my sizing mistake I still purchased up a size to 15 EE. These were close but just a tad too large. If these were not hiking shoes I probably would have kept them, but the fit was off enough to make me hesitant to take these out in the woods. Fairly certain a 14 wide would be too small, I decided to search for another shoe. Perhaps it is the waterproofing as others have mentioned that throws off the sizing. YMMV. Aesthetically these look great and you can tell the construction is solid. If they fit you I’m sure you’ll love them.

I have owned and loved 3 pairs of columbia redmond hiking shoes. I thought I would try a pair of waterproof ones, and was very surprised to find them much tighter, and much more narrow. At first I thought this was all in my head since I ordered the same size I always do, but ended up returning them there was so much of a difference. I'm sure they are still a great shoe, buy I would recommend either ordering a size larger or wider.
