I buy Columbia shoes for the great traction they provide for both on pavement and dirt. Columbia shoes usually never fail me when it comes to comfort. But the waterproof Redmond felt slightly tight when I first tried them on. This was unusual because I always buy the Wide version of every pair of Columbia shoes I have ever owned. Anticipating some stretching to occur after using them for a while, I decided to stick with it. They've gotten better although they still feel a little tight, and therefore cause some slight irritation on the fourth toe of each foot.

The shoes were unfortunately too tight even ordering the EE. Last pair I had were almost identical in color and supposed size. Last ones were great but these too tight and had to return

Had the previous version of this shoe and loved it, so I bought this updated version. Unfortunately, the last used for construction is apparently not the same as it is substantially tighter on my foot and my toe touches the end for the same size. Even with the laces fully released, I could barely get my foot into it. I will have to return it.

I dont have a wide foot but I had to get that size for this shoe.

Visibly narrow for a wide hiker.

My husband wears a 12 EE in nearly every brand of shoe. These felt at least a half size smaller and much more narrow that a wide shoe.

Ordered first pair in a medium, but had to return due to narrow width. Ordered same size in wide and shoe fit perfect. Excellent exchange handled by Zappos.

These are great looking shoes. It makes me sad that I have to return them as they are far too narrow for my feet. I have wide feet, but usually can get away with normal width shoes, even other Columbias. Not here - very tight in the toes and the heel. I agree with another that they make a crinkling sound when walking.

Nice shoes, but run about 1/2 size smaller; Also, I ordered EE and received WIDE should't advertise EE if they don't make them, needles to say not wide enough. Won't buy it again.

Really like these shoes. But they are just to narrow at the ball of my foot. Other Columbia brand fit fine and I did buy a different Columbia shoe.

These are nice shoes but they are not wide. The tag states that they are wide, but they feel very tight. These are going back.

My husband has narrow feet, so he was happy to order this show based on other reviews that it was narrow. Unfortunately, it also runs small, and this is important because he wears a size 15, which are hard to find.

Very comfortable. A little warm. A little narrow. They make a bit of noise like plastic bags crumpling while you walk.
