This jacket is warm (no, HOT, actually!) and very stylish. Definitely a great purchase. I purchased an XL and am pretty much a TTS XL, but this jacket (and almost all Columbia jackets, actually) runs a size small. I would need an XXL in order to wear this coat, and would probably be better off with a 3XL if I wanted to wear a sweater under this coat. Buy this coat, but size up at least one size. Note to Columbia - please offer your jackets in 2XL, 3XL sizes.

I bought this for my wife. She does not like being cold. This jacket kept her warm skiing in cold, foggy and windy weather. It was 10-15F. It fits comfortably. Not bulky! The sleeve has a nice pocket for RFID pass cards. Sleeves are nice with the thumb slit. She is 5'2" 115

Perfect for skiing or cold weather in general. I was warm all day.

I've worn this jacket in below zero degree weather and it has kept me warm. I am usually a small on top, but I ordered a Medium after reading reviews and it fit me perfectly. This is the best jacket I have ever owned and I definitely recommend purchasing it. It has a ton of pockets and it keeps me so warm! Love, love, love it !!!!

Great for outdoor snow activities...lightweight and warm. Wore it in 4F weather...not warm enough for just walking, but good for skiing/boarding

I ordered this jacket after our last blizzard to make sure I was well equipped if mother nature decided to throw us another. It keeps my upper body nice and warm and I love that the pockets are lined/insulated. I'm 5'3 135 lbs and the medium fit perfectly (enough room for bulky sweaters underneath). If you're looking for a jacket to keep you warm in < 21 temps, this is the one.

One minor note: When zipping up the coat my wife has trouble getting the zipper started.

I bought this jacket to use for snowboarding but completely fell in love with it and use it as much as possible. It keeps you super warm and is incredibly light weight. It allows for plenty of movement. The only problem I have had with it so far is that when I completely zip it up its a little uncomfortable on the neck. Overall definitively worth it. I love it!

This is my first jacket from Columbia and I am so glad I bought it. It truly does keep you warm and free of water. It is also very comfortable, I wear it around the house as a blanket!

I have been searching for a winter jacket that would actually keep me warm in the winter with no luck. Finally, I found this wonderful jacket! The Omni heat is awesome and really works! Absolutely love this jacket! If you have long arms like me, go with a size bigger than you would normally wear and the sleeves fit perfect.

I've always loved Columbia products and this jacket certainly does not disappoint me! It's true to size, keeps me really warm, and water resistant. One reminder I'll give is that please get a size bigger than your normal size. I'm 5' 1" and 112 lb. I got XS - it fits me really well and looks stylish. But the thing is during winter I wear more layers than usual. When I have more layers, its a little tight. I should've thought of it when I bought it. But it looks really stylish when it fits you perfectly. So its kind of a dillema.

When I received this coat I was a little nervous about how warm it would be because it is so thin, but I can tell you that the Omni Heat works great! I took my pup on a hike in the upper 30s with only a short sleeved tee shirt under my coat and I was perfectly warm. I'm 5'4", 120 lbs and ordered the small. It fits great, and I still have plenty of enough room to wear a sweatshirt underneath for when it gets really cold. I'm totally happy with this jacket and can't wait to wear it all winter long!

Love it! I'm 5'3" and 112 lbs and the size small is great even with a sweatshirt underneath. I got the ruby red...I thought it looked burnt orange in the picture but, when I got it, it turned out to be more of a pinkish red. Bright redish category either way so I wasn't too worked up. All the pockets are great even if you are not skiing. The hood is the perfect size when you put it on and can be removed. The pockets are great and warm and the whole coat is completely water repellent. Favorite thing is how water droplets just run off the coat.

This jacket fits really nicely, and it is warm and not too bulky! I would definitely recommend this jacket.

I normally wear a small so I bought this jacket in a large because most of my pregnancy took place over the winter. I gained 35lbs and it only started to get snug at the last week of pregnancy. It saved me from spending a fortune on a "maternity" jacket and kept me warm and active all winter long.

Bought this jacket and wore a fleece underneath it for my snowboarding trip. I was toasty Hot!!! The temperature were in the 30s at Whistler at that time so it did not help. I ended up taking off the fleece and only wearing the jacket with my thermal underneath. It kept me warm throughout the day. One thing I have a complain is the left front top pocket. For some reason the water does get into the pocket even with the zipper on. My ticket got wet after the whole day of snowboarding. I bought the bright red color version and it was beautiful! I normally wear XS on the top but this jacket fits fine with S with rooms for another layer underneath it.

I have this coat for a month or so. I have the pink one, the color is terrific! got a lot of compliments for it. The coat is very flattering. it snowed this weekend (Israeli snow, but still), and it kept me very warm and dry. probably the best coat I ever had! it is comfortable and yet - very pretty.

I bought this jacket as a birthday gift for myself, and I couldn't be anymore satisfied. I'm generally a medium, but I ordered a Large just to be on the safe side. The jacket fits me well, but seems to be a little too fitted for a large. I would suggest that if you're regularly a large, that you buy a size up. So far I've worn this jacket in as cold as below 20 degree weather, and I've remained absolutely warm. Sometimes I find myself getting overheated and become tempted to take the jacket off. The hood is adjustable, which is perfect for the wind, and when it rains. This jacket keeps me warm, and safe from the cold weather, and rain. This is definitely going to be my winter jacket for a a few years.

I love this jacket. I am always freezing , but I've been warm in this jacket. I've worn it out in windy and 20 degrees. The black is more a dark grey. The thumb holes on the sleeves are awesome. I am 5'9" and wear a 12 usually. The XL fits well, the sleeves are just long enough.

I was looking for something to keep me warm while I played outside. This jacket gives me mobility and I don't feel the wind while it's blowing. It's by far my favorite coat. I was recently caught in a rainstorm and this coat kept me dry and happy. My friends keep trying it on because they like it too! I would buy this again! More colors please!

I usually wear a medium but I listened to the reviews that it runs small so I ordered a large and it fits perfectly. I live in Maine where it's cold and the jacket keeps me warm and dry. Before I chose this jacket I shopped around, looking at all the brand names and this one was the best. I'm very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend it.

I love this jacket! When I first got the coat, I was a little worried because it feels a little light weight, but the materials are so well designed that its ability to trap heat is impressive and surprising. For windy Philadelphia winters, this coat is perfect. The outer layer is basically impermeable to wind and water. Sometimes when it is in the thirties, I even have to unzip it because I am that warm! Like the other reviews said, it is not quite black, but almost dark charcoal gray, but it is very attractive and I think I like it even better than solid black.
