I wanted to like these more than I did. They were nice looking but felt they weren't as comfortable as other options.

verry pretty boots, but tight around my foot. I think they would stretch, but I wasn't in love with them to take the chance.

I love these boots, it took about two wears to break them in (I have a narrow foot and they were still very tight), but the leather is good so they stretched out nicely. Some of the stitching in the zipper area could be better, but overall they're really cute, match everything and (after breaking them in) are comfortable enough for a long day around the city with lots of walking. I love any of the shoes I buy from SE, they're great!

I LOVE LOVE these boots. They look amazing, I love Whiskey color, have been looking for good boots in that color for a long long time. The leather looks and feels luxurious and untainted! The style is gorgeous and I like the black shade in the front, gives it that extra oomph. I would have loved to have kept these boots but they are narrow. I wear wide calf and 8.5W, I could not zip these up and the feet didn't feel that wide. I am so sad that I have to send these boots back. I really really wanted to keep them! They are not wide calf, more like for muscular calves on a slender frame. The other issue I had is with the zip at the back. I am always concerned about pinching myself at the back and have a bigger issue pulling the zip up at the back than on the side. I can always squeeze a little from the side, at the back it is impossible. So I didn't really like that. What a waste because these are gorgeous!

These boots are beautiful, however the wide calf is far too wide on my calves. Also, this boot is extremely narrow even after I ordered the Wide fit. I wish that I could keep them but alas, the boot search continues!

I really wanted to like these. They are gorgeous boots, and if your foot is narrow and your calf "athletic" (not truly wide), then these boots are for you. However, I have a true wide foot, and I could barely get my foot into them. Beautiful boots - I wish they worked!

great fitting boot but calf too wide. Am 5' tall and boot cut into back of knee.

Well, I have a hard time giving a bad review on these boots. They are incredible boots; however, the width of the shoes is medium so I can't wear them. The leather is beautiful and quality. If you are a dressage rider, these boots will be prefect for you.

I really wanted to like these boots. They look great. The leather is soft and the foot and calf is very comfortable, but they have one big flaw... the zipper ends just where the back of you heel sits. While they put a little flap of leather over the zipper, there is still a nub there that pokes into your foot with every step (same for both boots so I don't think it was an anomaly). It tried them with pretty thick socks as well. :(

The foot of this boot fit perfectly - but the wide calf was crazy wide on me. It seemed much larger than a 16" circumference. I also tried to the Penny regular from Sam Edelman, but that one was about ½" too small to zip up over my calf. I cannot win!

I have really wide calves and these were huge and gaping. The leather is not good quality: it was very thin. The fit in the foot was fine, true to size and not too tight as others have said. My foot is a medium width, but lately feel pinched in a lot of styles, but these were fine. (I am spoiled with the quality of my Bed Stu Manchester boots, the leather is super, thick, and unlined. A much better made boot that does fit my fat legs.)

After week of searching these were exactly what I wanted. I was a little apprehensive about the asymmetrical top but these were great. They sipped easily, were made beautifully and were styled perfectly. Sadly they were so small in the upper foot (vamp and throat) that the top of my food hurt just walking across the living room. I am so disappointed that these will not work.

Like others mentioned, these boots were VERY narrow. I would consider myself to have average feet and these were tight. The calf size was great for us girls with bigger calfs. Unfortunantly these are too tight on the top of my feet so these are going back.

These boots have REALLY wide calves....not for the girl who has a 14.5-15" calf. There could probably handle a 17" calf.

These boots are gorgeous! Unfortunately, the foot was way too narrow. I normally wear a size 7 and I got a 7.5 in these boots. The calf fit perfect but the foot was so tight and uncomfortable.

I love these boots. But the calf is very wide. I had ordered the penny in the regular calf, and I have athletic calves so they just barely would not zip up. I ordered these, and I can fit my hand inside the upper shaft of the boot! It would not look so bad, but the outside of each flares out a lot. I am sending them back.

I was disappointed when I got these boots. The zipper in the back is very uncomfortable in the heel, and although it fits well in the calf, the fit is very tight in the foot. I really wanted to love these boots as I have been searching for something stylish and comfortable to wear while traveling in Europe for the Spring. The leather is beautiful and I was excited to find that the shaft could accommodate my difficult to fit wide calves (this is the 4th pair of boots I have bought/exchanged). These will unfortunately be going back since the next size up is not available.

I've been looking for a tall black boot for quite some time. I'm 5'5" and have an average build (size 12-14). My calfs are 16" at the widest spot. These fit great, with a bit of extra room at the top of the boot. My problem was with the leather. It looked "plastic." My search continues....

I got these boots after reading so many great reviews online. The boots fit great! The wide calf fit perfectly but the ankle sagged. It was not cute at all. Maybe my legs are just shaped weird. I was disappointed on how they looked on me. But the boots themselves are very beautiful. Soft leather and they do not look cheap. I loved the look right when I opened the box until I put them on.

I wanted to love these boots so badly! I am 5'3 with 16" calves and typically wear a 9.5 in most shoes. I don't normally opt for wide shoes but decided to try wide based on the shape of these and reviews. First, I will say these are true extended calf and fit perfectly in that area. I had plenty of room to fit in jeans and they zipped up without any hesitation. The leather is very soft and I enjoyed the top button closure, which snapped tightly and did not seem to come undone easily. These were too large in 9.5w as my heels slid up every time I walked in them. I ordered them in a 9.5m as they didn't have a black 9w pair in stock and they were incredibly tight on my feet. Desperate for the perfect pair of boots, I tried ordering 9w in brown. With double socks, my heels were staying put enough to keep them but still did slide a little. However, they are narrow in the toe area and my feet were in incredible pain after wearing them around for a few hours. My toes are still sore two days later! Maybe if they were more round at the top instead of pointy, I wouldn't have had this issue. I'm still sad about sending them back but couldn't justify trying to break them in for the price.

Tried these out as I thought the Penny would be too short for me. I'm 5'10" with 16" calves. The height was good, but the circumference on the shaft was way too wide for me. Plus, the style turned out to be more casual than what I needed. So I returned.

Don’t love how they flair out at the sides

I wear 10 Medium foot but a Wide calf and hoped that the Penny 2 would fit according to the site measurements, but alas! - the zip stopped 2 inches short of the top, so back these elegant boots must go!

These boots were incredibly narrow and tight and felt like they ran incredibly small. Very difficult to put on as well.
