I love the classic style, but these shoes are not dark brown as pictured. The color is more of a cognac or light brown. I returned them.

Leather is so cheap looking that at first I doubted it is leather. It has none of the natural variegation of burnished leather suggested by the photo, but rather has the uniform appearance of vinyl.

THE SHOES ARE BEAUTIFUL BUT ALL THREE PAIRS THAT I PURCHASNED HAVE A HORRIBLE SQUEAK WHEN HE WALKS. HE SOUNDS LIKE HE IS ON A BASKETBALL COURT. VERY DISTURBING. I TRIED TO GET A HOLD OF YOU AND MESSAGES WOULD NOT GO THROUGH.

Very frustrated with this Rockport loafer. I own 8 other pairs of Rockports (seriously) and none of them have given me the fit issues that these Classic Loafer Lite Pennys have caused. My normal size is an 8.5 medium width. When I ordered this size in this loafer, the length was fine but the shoe was REALLY tight in width. I could just barely squeeze my foot into the shoe and it caused my socks to bunch up on the top of my foot where the tongue is. I've never worn a wide shoe, but thought it was worth a try, so I exchanged for an 8.5 WIDE. These felt great when I slipped my foot into the shoe, but they were too loose when walking--my heel was popping out of the shoe. I've given up on these. I like the Rockport brand in general, but I am now angry -- they apparently do not use the same size last when constructing all the various shoes they sell. I'm sure this is a factor of where the shoe is made. I'll keep searching for a similar shoe. (I tried several of the Nunn Bush loafers, and while the fit was much better, the leather looked like plastic and sort of 'cracked' and wrinkled when worn)

I wear a 10.5 medium in dress shoes and these 10.5 penny loafers were way too big, especially in the toe but also the heel.

This is the second time I have ordered online replacements for the exact same Rockport shoe modes that I previously own. The sizes are marked the same but the first one (a slip on model) fit too loose and the second pair, these Penny loafers, are too tight. The Penny Loafer's soles were also slightly narrower than the old pair. I really love that model and will try and break it in to see if that works...

I am in the leather business. and this is not leather; it's called leatherette, a man made artificial leather.
the shoes tight, the look was not satisfactory looks a lot like synthetic material.
I don't recommend these shoes or brand
I'd also recommend:
IO am going with Levis Loafers.
