I can usually wear a toque for a few minutes until it drives me nuts, too tight, too itchy... I can wear this toque all day. It's easily stored in a pocket when not in use. Only down side is due to it's light weight if the temp. drops very (very) cold you may need something heavier.

Wow, I love my Rho Beanie. Just back from two weeks of horsepacking in norther BC with mixed weather. Wore this hat most of the time. I'd wear it by itself, but it's small and light enough to wear under a hood or under my cowboy hat. When conditions were really harsh I pulled my neck tube up balaclava style, pulled the beanie down over my head and topped it off with my cowboy hat. May have looked a little strange, but it kept me warm and never left my side (actually head or pocket) for two weeks. Won't be leaving it at home very often.

Great little hat. A bit pricey for what it is but it works well and the design is not obnoxious which is always nice with headwear. Good in-between season/chilly morning camping cap.

This the perfect hat to wear on a chilly night or under your bicycle helmet on cool rides. I had been looking for a hat wit this fabric consistency for a while, and finally found it!

J'en possde plusieurs couleurs. Incroyablement confortable et lger. Se glisse partout et discret, dans une poche de manteau, le sac dos, etc. Sche rapidement. Ayant le crne ras, je la porte pratiquement 3 saisons (printemps, t, automne... parfois les journes douces d'hiver)

Just love this hat, wear it all the time. Under my cycle helmet, ski helmet. It drys so quickly. Fits beautiful.

Rundum zufrieden: Mtze ist angenehm weich, warm und trotzdem sehr leicht. Man sprt sie kaum, aber sie wrmt. Sie ist das Geld wert. Einheitsgre ist ok, da sie sich gut dehnt und anpasst.

This has been my "go to" beanie/hat for my winter activities. It is just enough to keep my head warm and wicks away moisture no matter what outdoor activity I am doing. It fits perfectly under my helmet and is easily stored in a jacket or pant pocket when not in use. I can't say how much I love this beanie! I've lost it twice and bought the same one to replace it because it's just part of my everyday kit!

Lightweight yet warm, lies soft on your head with just the right amount of stretch. Perfect for in town or in the mountains. Breathes well when ascending, without wetting out!

Je n'aurais jamais pens en achetant ce bonnet que je le porterais aussi pour toutes les ascensions alpines hivernales ! Mais ce bonnet a beau tre trs lger et fin, comme le veut la ligne LT, il est bien assez chaud durant les efforts, mme dans des conditions froides. Seul un fort vent glacial le fait atteindre ses limites. De plus, il passe trs bien sous un casque et ne dveloppe que peu d'odeurs. Il est excellent pour la randonne snowboard / ski : suffisamment chaud la monte et agrable sous le casque la descente.

I've had this beanie for almost 2 years now and it is awesome for all kind of activities from ice climbing to hiking and running in cool and cold conditions.

Die Arc'teryx Rho LTW Beanie Mtze ist wie fr mich gemacht. Die Mtze ist reltiv dnn, der Rand ist gedoppelt und sie trgt nicht so dick auf wie eine Strickmtze. Dadurch lsst sie sich auch einfach in die Jackentasche stecken und hat ein sehr kleines Packma. Ich trage die Mtze und den Halswrmer aus dem gleichen Material, zusammen eine Traumkombination. Aktuell schon in der zweiten Saison ohne "Peeling" oder "Elasthanfden". Fazit: Beste Mtze im Schrank 5 Sterne

perfect product as well as all the other merino wool garments made by Arc'teryx. It is warm and comfortable also used as base layer under a motorcycle helmet.

I'v only had a small number of beanies that fit well, while at the same time keeping my head nice and warm but not too hot. Usually the ones that worked well to keep my head warm, were often heavy fabrics that squeezed my ears real tight and made them sore. So with ears that are kind of big, beanie selection was always tough. This beanie however, is awesome, best I'v ever had. It has loose but secure fit so my ears don't get sore. It's been camping with me in maybe 40F degrees and kept my head and ears warm even at rest/while sleeping. Even after it warmed up to about 85F my head didn't overheat while doing some pretty intense sport climbing (forgot I even had it on). As much as I try to resist not being a brand conservative person, Arcteryx always seems to make a product that keeps me coming back to them, and this beanie is one of them.

I am a raging fan of Arcteryx's merino wool/spandex blend. This fabric feels so good next to your skin you will forget your wearing it. This particular beanie is so small and lightweight you can easily keep it in your jacket pocket for storage and barely even notice its there. My favorite part of this lightweight beanie is how breathable it is. It is fantastic for high output activities and I even wear it jogging. Somehow even though this fabric is breathable - it keeps me warm on cold winter days as well. Love it!

Has a low profile. Keeps in heat. Compacts to almost nothing. It folds easily into a pocket without expanding. Its great if you utilize a helmet or hood on a jacket. It hasnt pillowed yet and I used it all fall/winter.

Typical Arc'teryx quality build one has come to expect. Not too bulky. Thinner construction, but warm. Morino wool. Works well inside of cycling helmets. Worked so well, yjsy I purchased this one as a second for my upcoming cycle trekking trip to Tibet. I highly recommend it.

Port sous un casque d'alpinisme, il est parfait. Coupe bien couvrante. Port sans casque, il tient bien en place et en mi-saison procure ce qu'il faut comme chaleur. lger, emporter partout.

This is the best hat I've ever had. I use it for everyday use, mostly for bicycling and it fits very well with helmets. I have sensitive ears, so if it's very cold(when cycling), I might need to put on something thicker, but overall it does it's job almost every day here in mid Sweden. (:

When it's extremely cold outside tower work requires no exposed skin. I use this beanie in a layering system that still allows me to wear a helmet and goggles. I also use it for running and under my motorcycle helmet. It's like wearing spandex that generates its own heat! The wool is not as itchy as other brands and dries quickly on its own. Do not dry this product or any of the Rho LTW products, they shrink!

Great for a cool fall day. Once it gets colder out, I will use it under a helmet as the fabric is too light to wear on its own in below 0C weather.

Use this beanie at work as a paramedic. It's thin, light and easily packable in my coat pocket for those unexpected times I'm caught out in the cold.

I bought this beanie for my winter camping and hiking. It is thinner than I expected, however, which means your sweat would dry out really fast at the same time!

I have bought 2 Rho Beanies and 1 neck gaiter. Working out doors during the fall and winter months in all conditions and have yet to find a better item to keep my head at just the right temperature. Personally I use this beanie from 10c to -20c 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for 5-6 months a year. I am something of a sweater, so the nature of wool to provide warmth when wet is a must have for me. My only problem with this near perfect beanie is that for some reason within 3 months of owning each of them at the bottom of the vertical seam the material has pulled from the stitching. The fit is very poor after that and gets worse over time. Minor complaint given the large number hours and extreme conditions that each beanie has endured and I will be ordering a third one with out question!
