I love the jeans but they have a sulfur smell to them I can't wash out. Cant return them I was told since I washed them. I think it's the dye and processing but still..... your clothes shouldn't smell like this.

Love the stitching and the thickness of the material, but the legs are huge. Have decided to keep them and see how they are after a wash and dry but probably won't order the boot cuts again.

Super heavy weighted jeans, sized at least 1 - 1.5 sizes too big and even the Short length is way too long for me at 5'0. I am 160 pounds and ordered the 32 but it is huge. Going to keep them and just wear them as looses barn jeans/cut them for shorts.

I have now bought two pairs of this style of jeans. One in 27 regular and the other in 27 long. I am 5"5' and 140 pounds with more of an athletic built. The regular length ones that i have are a perfect length, but when im riding i like a longer jean or i bought them in long too. The longs are very very long, probably about 4 inches longer then the regulars. Over all they fit about the same, but the washes on them are completely differently. The longs that i have are true to the picture in color. The regulard are more of a medium wash jean. Expect them to shrink a little bit in the wash. I like this style of jean because they are durable, i can bend up and down without wearing a built and withut having to pull my jeans up. They are a great jean even though there are some inconsistancies in the product.

I kept them thinking I would wear them as they are a good fit, but the thickness of the denim turned me off. Very heavy. And because they are so long I just didn't feel like wearing 4 inch heels all the time. So, they sit on a hanger, only worn once. What is off, they have a little slit on the outside at the hem.

Bought 2 pairs of these in years past and was in love, they were my favorite go to jean. But the last pair that I tried on the fit had changed. The legs are now HUGE and are more of a trouser fit than anything. If you can find some in stores that still have the riding slit on the side of the pants then those will fit like everyone raves about. Any of the newer version from the past year have to big of a leg.

I don't know where the other reviewers got their figures for inseam on these tall jeans from, but they are NOT 36". I measured them, and if you stretch the fabric, you can make them reach 34", at most. I take a 36", so these are going back. Too bad, because I had high hopes for these jeans. Maybe there should be a size chart that includes inseam for these jeans somewhere? Maybe I missed it. The rating from me is misleading, as I knew these were not long enough when I took them out of the bag. Didn't even try them on. So don't go by me.

Ordered a 28R and 28L, and keeping the 28R while I try other sizes. Sizing was inconsistent. The 28R was a perfect fit in the waist and seat but was just barely long enough with flats. The 28R also didn't have the split seam/cuff at bottom like the picture, which would have helped the length. The 28L was huge in the waist; no way it was the same size as the 28R. The length was appropriately longer, and although a little too long for me, I'd have gladly cuffed them if they'd fit at the waist. The 28L did have the cute split at the bottom. As others have said, the embroidery embellishment on the pockets is over the top - the dots in particular are done with silver thread. Thinking of using a fabric pen to color over them if I keep them.

They are my favorite pair of jeans by far BUT......Every time I buy them, I ride so many horses that the inside of these jeans rip. I bought these at first in a size 27 short and they were huge on me. Inches too long and baggy everywhere. I usually wear a size 4 pants. I sent them back and ordered a 26 short. They were a little snug but I thought they would loosen up with wear. I was wrong. After the first wash the rise shrunk quite a bit and is so painful to even wear the jeans now. So disappointed. Wish I had sent them back and kept the first pair...maybe they would have shrunk to fit me?

I bought two of the same pair. Totally different size even though the label say they are the same size. I also had the zipper break in one pair so now trying one more time to see if the sizing is ok ....I do like the way they fit at least the first pair I bought that now has the broken zipper .

I bought these jeans the material is not the same as my other Real Riding jeans they do not have as much give, I usually by 31 long these I should have got a 32 or 33. I don't like them as much as my others.

These were bigger than any others i've tried of the same size. Had to return

Sits lower on hips- does run small- will more than likely need to size up.

I got a 34 regular as I had another pair I got at boot barn. This style is about 2" too long but fits great through the hips and legs just length is long. If you want this pair and think you are a regular better get a short. I'm 5'6" so average height.

These jeans were the short option and still about 5 inches too long. Too bad Ariat thinks all girls are 5'7".

The jeans seem to be a very good quantity, however I ordered a short length but they are way too long! I am 5'1" and normally a short length fits great. I now have to decide if I should send them back or pay to have them hemmed.

The jeans fit great in the waist but were very loose and baggy in the groin area. The quality seemed good otherwise but I was disappointed that I had to send them back.

They did not sit where normal mid-rise should hit, different from my pair from a store.

More like flare but really wide in legs. Not like it shows.

Bad chemical smell even after a wash. I should have returned them before the wash. I have never had this issue.

These jeans stink. I should have not even attempted to wash them because even after the wash they smell like chemicals. I have never had my previous pairs of Ariat jeans have these issues.

I ordered these jeans and they came in three days! I was shocked! The jeans have a perfect amount of stretch, the back pockets are nice and big, and the front pockets are deeper than in most women's jeans. I wasn't sure on the length to get since regular sometimes shrinks shorter than I'd like, so I got long. I step on the bottoms a bit but once I'm in boots I'm good. I love how cute these jeans are, and they might be my new favorite.

I love the jeans, but the chemical smell that lingers in the is awful. Even after 4 washes prior the wearing them, they were still letting off a intense smell. I left them outside hanging to try and get it out as well. I am now wearing them, but the smell still lingers. I wrote a complaint, and no one ever responded. It's too bad, because the jeans themselves are great.
