Wedge heel is too narrow for me: while walking, I rolled completely off the side of the shoe, twice. The left instep strap was sharp on one side (a defect, I guess) and scratched the top of my foot.

The sole was hard, loud and felt clunky walking. I liked the style. Just wish they'd have been more comfortable for walking/wearing.

This is the only pair of Taos shoes I've owned that I haven't been happy with. They aren't as adjustable as they would seem. The leather strap loops through the ring, but you can't really adust how much feeds through the ring to customize which part is tighter or looser. I find they always gape a little across the arch, but are too tight at the ankle. I'm always trying to pull the leather through the ring to relieve the tight part, but they just slide back to where the original fold was. I like the footbed, but usually can't wait to take them off, as I'm constantly fiddling with the straps trying to get them to be more comfortable. They SEEMED like a good fit length and width-wise, but the straps were the deal breaker.

The style and support of these shoes is great - I'm so disappointed to be returning them. I ordered 'wide' and the footbed truly fits that description. However, the straps are not engineered for a wide foot at all. There is no way to fasten either strap without at least an inch of velcro showing, which totally takes away from the cute style of the sandal. If the straps were redesigned to accommodate the girth of a wider foot, I'd buy multiple colors of this sandal in a heartbeat.

After going through the return process, I began to write a review about how this shoe-that I really like-feels a size too small. I looked at the size and it is a 42, not the 43 I ordered, which totally explains the situation. Hoping the 43 still exists because it is a very cute shoe; lightweight and fits all the weird places that feet have. And, it's nice to know my huge feet aren't huger than I thought they were when this didn't fit.

I wanted to love these shoes. The arch support seemed perfect. I have very flat feet and these just didn’t work for me. Even sizing up didn’t work. My foot is normal width, but my low arches were hanging over these narrow foot beds. I’m sure these are great for those with arches!

Love the sandal and it's fit but...the first time I wore it the straps faded on my feet. The balcony lines are not coming off my skin after multiple washings. These sandals were not worn in the rain or any other moisture. So sorry that such a pricey but otherwise nice sandal fades on my feet! Very disappointing!

I really, really wanted to like these shoes. Very cute style, very supportive yet soft arch support. I have had plantar fasciitis for over a year now so I was really excited when these sandals arrived. I noticed when I put these on that the braided straps felt a bit rough. By the end of the day I was actually in pain from various friction points on the shoes. I suspect it will get worse on a hot, sweaty day. I bought these on another website & had to pay for return shipping, so if you are going to get these go with Zappos for the insurance of their return policy.Taos needs to either line the straps or simply replace the braids with something more supple - then they will have the perfect sandal! Until then my elusive style/support/ comfort sandal search continues.

These seemed like the perfect sandal but after a short time the straps rubbed in several spots. Also the arch support seemed a little too much. Unfortunately they went back but I'm sure the perfect sandal is somewhere in the Zappos world. They're a great place to shop.

The color PINK was more orange and not a true pink

I tried these shoes on at a local mom and pop shoe store. They fit great. Very comfortable. I ended up giving them to my mom because she liked them also. I ordered the same shoe and shoe size from Zappos but they did not have the same fit. The shoes were uncomfortable and rubbed my toe and ankle. I am very disappointed. I returned the shoes. .

I have tried to love these shoes for six weeks, but am finally giving up. Out of the box, they fit perfectly and were as lovely as pictured. Great materials, style, and color. The issue is with the footbed and sole, which are hard and flat and go “klop, klop, klop” when I walk. They are very noisy! It feels like I have a block of wood strapped to my foot. If I walk any distance, they give me a backache. I never like to return a used product and rarely do so. I buy better made, more expensive shoes because I have found they alleviate back and foot pain. I had expected an ergonomic shoe for $160. Unfortunately, Trulie by Taos did not live up to my expectations.

These fit like a whole size smaller than the size stated

Not as cute as in picture, fairly clunky, and the cross foot band rubbed my little toe. These are going back. ;-(

Love these but they are quite short. I ordered a size up because of a review and they were still short. Love the fact that they are so adjustable- narrows are tough to find.

Very disappointed. The straps are stiff and rough. Caused huge blisters and sore spots after wearing for about an hour. The initial feel was great, good arch support, size was accurate. Wore them in the house for short times, they felt great. Took them on vacation, wore them for a shopping trip, had to buy shoes and throw these in a bag. Angry that I thought they were going to be great, paid so much for them but since I wore them outside, I'm stuck with them.
