I am 27" waist, 127#, 5'5" and ordered the 6. It was perfect. So comfortable! A little wrinkly, a little stiff at first, but it fit so nice with a tie waist to fix those variations in waistline. I wore it around house and although it makes a crinkly noise and seems a bit stiff at first, I think it will soften. I like the length, the pockets and the options on these knickers. Kuhl says this will be good for humid days.

After reading through various reviews for other Kuhl pants/shorts, to be on the safe side, I ordered one size larger than I typically wear. As a fairly fit 5 10 woman, I am usually an 8 Tall, so I ordered a size 10 in this Kontra Short style. Hips, waistline (which rests at the hips), seat, and thighs were perfect, but the length was too long for me (?!). Seriously. The shorts came rolled up in their cuffs, and they hit right in the crease of the back of my knees - an annoyingly awful light rubbing as I walked, so I have returned them. Otherwise the material and stitching and style were well done.

I'm going to like these a lot! I'm 6'1" tall, 190 lbs. and at 50 y.o., no longer thrilled with how my legs look. (groan) But the 14's are perfect. And I like that they're cute with the legs buttoned up or worn down.

My new favorites, love love love these. Fabric is soft, pockets are functional w/o being too bulky, rear is flattering. The size 2 fit perfectly on me (5'3", 108, 26" waist, 35" hip). My only feedback for Kuhl is *external* drawstrings please!

I own 3 pairs of these now and love them! great for golf or just everyday wear. They are super comfortable. I am 5'8" and 140lbs and size 6 fits perfectly...not to tight or loose.

These are comfy shorts. I like the low rise. Material is kind of stretchy and lightweight so it dries quickly if it gets wet. The material also makes quite a bit of rustling/crinkling noises. I'm 5'2" 105 slender build and wear a size 6 (normally wear a 6-8 depending on brand, though I don't like my clothes tight at all--these fit nicely without being baggy) . I wear a 4 in the Prana brand which I like and is also sold on Zappos. I like these shorts, but when I upgraded my iPhone from a 5S to a 6S, i discovered that my phone no longer fits in the side pocket :( They are really long, so I always wear them with the cuffs folded up. When folded up, the cuffs fall at the bend in my knees. It's a pain in the neck to have to undo the cuffs to wash, then refold them though, as they never look very neat and I'm not going to spend time ironing shorts.

These shorts fit well, have the handy waist draw cord to fine tune fit, many pockets and versatile length. I like them rolled up. Bought a second pair in Teal. Colorful and different, I tried on so many capris before finding these. I am 5'8", 142 lbs, athletic build. Thanks Zappos!

I've been looking for something just like this for a couple of years, so when I saw them I had to have them. They are even better on! First of all, they are super comfortable! They are flattering from behind, and the length is perfect. I love them! I got the carbon color, which does look a little more green then the picture shows, but is still a great color. I wish they made more colors!

Lightweight, super comfortable, and super cute. Others said to go up a size, I am usually a 4/6 so went with an 8. They are a little loose, could have probably used a 6 but after a run through the dryer you never know. I love them and will be looking into buying some more! No regrets at all! First pair of Kuhl shorts!

I almost never like this sort of short, but I was looking for a good hiking short, one that didn't look bulky and unattractive like most of them out there seem to be, and this one caught my eye in REI one day because it looked so stylish. These shorts are surprisingly nice looking on, very slimming in fact, and just an overall attractive design. Very comfortable, nice material that is fairly lightweight, and the sage green is a great color. They seem quite well made. My only reservation is the front snap...it's different and kind of odd and I haven't seen one like this before. I hope it doesn't get too loose over time and not stay snapped. Also, if the shorts fit at all tight in the waist, the snap probably will not stay snapped due to its design. Size reference: I'm 5'7" and the length is to a point just at my knee, pretty much exactly like in the model photo above. Weight is 140, hips about 37", waist 34", and the 10 fit perfectly. It's worth noting that in a lot of other manufacturers my pants size is 6 or 8, so I think these must run a bit small, hence the size 10. I'm guessing most people would have to size up one size.

I love these capris. They roll up and or stay knee length, very flattering and comfy. I would say they are very true to size. I would defiantly purchase these again.

I am 5'4" tall and weigh 125 lbs, I got these in a size 4 (which I wear with no issue) and they fit but were a little tight across the hips, they would have worked but I prefer a looser (but NOT baggy) fit. The 6's fit great, they are comfortable, there are lots of pockets and they are roomy and useful. My wife is 4'10' and 86 lbs and got a size 2 and they fit her perfectly.

Love the fit below the waist, true to size. They dry very quickly after getting wet, and are great for fishing. Lots of storage in the pockets.The fabric was a little stiff, but after being washed softened up. The draw string is not functional or comfortable on the inside, but should either be eliminated or on the outside. I would definitely recommend these shorts.

They are just what I was looking for. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I will be ordering different colors.

I'm 5'3'' and 104 lbs. and I find it hard to find capris that fit well, but these do. I ordered these in a size 2. Because of the nifty elastic tie at the waist I'm able to make these fit perfectly around the waist and hips. I don't like the looks of them with the pants leg down but am happy with them rolled up where the fabric hits at my knees. I like them enough that I ordered 2 more pairs.

I really like these because they have a high percent of cotton. I don't like all nylon or polyester. I have purchased 4 pairs this summer. I wear them unrolled because I need a longer length. They are a little shorter than regular capris. I wash and dry them and have had no problems.

I bought these hoping they would fit similar to Kuhl's Splash pants and they do! I love both and the extra length of these make them more versatile. The Kuhl brand is great. Items are made exceptionally well and last seemingly forever. I would buy again. More colors please!

True to size. Wear at knicker length; perfect for summer

I am a Kuhl pants and shorts fan. I bought 2 pair of these recently. Reviews are accurate; I always get a size bigger in Kuhl than in other pants. One feature I appreciate is they don't stretch out and get sloppy as the day wears on. They are cool, comfy, flattering, easy care. I partially dry them in the clothes dryer and am able to smooth them out and let them air dry the rest of the way, then I don't have to iron them. The elastic drawstring keeps the waist fitting properly and the drawstring stays hidden inside. I'm 5'7" and the length when rolled up is good on me.
