This is a nice jacket for around town. It isn't windproof, but fleece generally isn't, but with a shell over it, it can keep you pretty warm if needed. A little too heavy for backpacking. But great for everyday use in town and car camping. Main nit is the little sleeve pocket seems an afterthought. Its too small to fit glasses in it or most phones and its not a good spot to carry anyways because of arm flexure and movement. Much better would be to dump it, and add a little chest pocket. These are great for glass wearers and the easiest place to keep them safe when not wearing. Since this coat doesn't seem great for backpacking because of weight, the additional weight of such a pocket would not be a big deal.

The fit is good, its warm and looks great. But the current Covert Cardigan is below the high quality expectations I have for based on numerous other Arc'teryx products I own. Made in China. So thin it's see-through. I am concerned it may wear through too soon. Not even a hangar loop guys? Really? That seems cheap, especially for Arc'teryx's price.

I so wanted to LOVE this jacket. After everything I read and from the look of it in the photos, I was so looking forward! I should have taken to heart the comments of those who said they had experienced pilling. I am someone who takes impeccable care of things. Having only washed this on delicate cold water cycle and hung to dry, I was terribly disappointed when it began pilling (all up and down inside of the arms as well as the sides, torso). It began only after a few wearings. And I have not had the jacket for even three months.

Runs full size too small.

I have another Arc'Teryx pullover "cowl"-neck in this fabric, so I thought it was worth a try. Unfortunately, this is a much slimmer cut, which doesn't work for my body. It also has been stabilized with some woven material, which probably adds warmth and wind resistance. What that also does is to make it less stretchy. If you are toned, slim, and have long arms, you might find this a gem.

Je viens juste de recevoir mon covert et je l'ai tout de suite essayer en dessous de mon gore tex pour une journe de travail a passer le courrier( je suis factrice) les conditions mtorologiques taient ressenti -16 venteux et j'etais Absolument bien!! Pour rfrence je mesure 5.5 pieds 130 livres et la grandeur small est parfaite si vous n'etes pas trop forte des paules

Has jacket less than a year but pulling is starting to build up on the front jacket pocket area. For the price was expecting the material to hold up better.

Ce chandail est maintenant ma seconde peau. Le tissus est parfait, la coupe est ajuste. Parfait pour la ville, le sport et pour les dimanches de relaxation. Je suis 5'9'' et 130 lbs et small est parfait!

very high quality, the "alpenex heathered" does the job and it is very warm, fits even to 6-7 degrees (ces) and maybe less i didn"t check. my first time in arcteryx and i am very happy and i recommend also to freinds, it have two layers all over the chest and in the pockets, each winter my hands get's cold and now with these sweater and my hands inside the pockets i don't have this problem!!! (i was very suprised from that) i wear several companies (marmot mountain hardwear) and i think that arcteryx is one off the quality companies. meybe the sweater is a little expensive but i think it worth the price to those who knows about quality thank you arcteryx!

Its my first time buying Arctyrex Cardigan and all I can say that I loved it, fits perfectly on me and feels cozy.

Got the Black Sapphire (dark blue) and love the color. Knew I would love it because I bought a grey one two years ago and the fit is much better than any other brand fleece I have. It is a little more form fitting than the other brands. I also wear under a vest and it is less bulky. I am average build.

I loved the covert hoody so much, I have recently gotten this one as well. These fleece jackets are so well made and comfortable that I wear them almost everyday now. I have them in black sapphire and athena grey; beautiful colors! The zippers are stylish.

This jacket is warm and comfortable. Equally at home going out for the evening or as a very warm insulating layer under my shell.

Comfortable and good fitting jacket for mild weather, or can be used running errands or sitting in the office.

I obtained the covert cardigan a few months ago and used it for a few weeks straight. It worked great and is a piece that is comfortable enough that I would totally rock it on a weekend just hanging around the house. Could literally wear it all day. Let some air in but works well for mid temps. Now that the temp is dropping, it has been working great as a layer underneath a windbreaker. I am 6' 165lb and athletic. The LG fits me perfect.
