Long story short, I had an original messenger bag that was carried everywhere and for years until it was stolen about 7 years ago. A year later, I found one on our street that most likely had been stolen, emptied, and dumbed. After putting up signs, etc... and no answer, we cleaned it up and put it to use, but this one wasn't in very good condition and a replacement was always on the rada; the karma of it all just felt off. Along came a 50% sale, and I ordered a new one. Choice of color was limited, but the dark grey worked. Bag arrived about 3 days after ordered. Sketching gear and reading material loaded up (love the water bottle holder in the bag), we're off and running. This bag will travel by bike, foot, car, plane, etc.... Expectations are high that this will be every bit as good (and bomb proof) as the original purchased in the mid 90's.

I just got my custom bag messenger bag & I love it.

This was a replacement for another timbuk2 bag I had as a daily user for 10 years. It was time for an upgrade and this one fit the bill. The pocket configuration will take a little time to get used to, but otherwise, it's just what I was looking for.

These bags are great. I love how they continually improve on the design, materials, and quality. My last bag finally gave up, and I'm sad to see it go. It's a blast to design the custom bags online. The "new" materials seem lighter and sturdier. I like a lot of the new ideas however the inner storage options have taken a bit of a hit compared to my old bag. Less options, and less storage compartment. I'll adjust over time. Don't let that detour you. You'll have this bag for years if not the rest of your life.

I purchased my first Timbuk2 bag 25 years ago (give or take a year) and I haven't looked back. This is THE bag for me. Its like a friend :)

Once I received the package , I used the bag the following day at work ! I love it! It has multiple pockets that I can put my stuff for work . I love it's style and quality. Even my coworkers when they saw me at work gave several complements on the messenger bag . It was worth the money i paid for . I'm planning to buy another one someday soon.

I just retired my go-to small Manhattan Portage I've had for nearly a decade. I use larger Timbuk2 bags for travel, but for day-to-day I've always gone MP. I decided to try the small classic messenger bag and it's just about perfect for my commute and hopping and bopping around the city.

My son gave me my first timbuk2 messenger bag over 10 years ago. Since then, I have been using it everyday. All I did was replacing the buckles. I am very excited to have my second messenger bag! I am planning on using it for short trips. I also bought my son the same bag. Hope he likes it!!!

Fits my work gear, my regular "purse" stuff, love the choice of just using Velcro or clips. It's more comfortable than my backpack. I wish there were more pockets, but I love it!

This product is well thought out by the designers and the construction is A+. I feel at ease knowing that if something goes wrong, I can pop into the store and they will give me a loaner bag while they fix mine. I went through over $100.00 on backpacks and knock off messenger bags when I went to school, so this time I thought it would be worth it to buy something I have witnessed and heard to last more than a year.

This is my third Timbuk2 classic messenger bag! I bought it to replace my first bag I purchased nine years ago. I purchased the XS instead of the S. I LOVE the organization the classic messenger has to offer. I like the updates especially the waterproof closure!

The bag is the perfect size. I love messenger style bags but wanted something a little more feminine, and the ability to pick a floral pattern for part of the bag makes it perfect. Love the durability of timbuk2.

I purchased my bag from the bargain section of their site. I expected a "scratch and dent" type of scenario, so I expected to find a factory defect. I have yet to find anything other than the best price on the best bag I have ever purchased. Thank you timbuk2! I'll be back.

Old bag wore out but had so much use. Ordered the new one in a slightly larger size loved all the color options. custom bag way to go.

This is my 6th Timbuk2 bag. I use all of them throughout the years for various purposes. This is a great lightweight bag that can carry a lot. I love the interior dividers and padded laptop sleeve. It's a great bag for work and my daily travels. It's bigger than my classic small bag that I use as a purse, which is great because there are days I need to take more with me than just the basics.

I just have too much stuff to carry around. Wallet, Cell phone, sun glasses, prescription glasses, car keys, business cards. I use the small messenger bag as my "man purse". works great. didn't want to carry one of those European man purse things!

This is the first Timbuk2 bag I have purchased and received it today. Arrived sooner than I thought (+). Upon opening the bag I noticed an odd odor coming from the bag. Hopefully that will wear off. I tend to travel with one or two laptops as well as an iPad Pro; it looks like everything will fit. I'm a little skeptical about the fabric. It felt a little cheap at first. Maybe because I'm used to heavy canvas bags. I do like the color combination I picked; the bag looks better in person than on the website. We'll see how it lasts.

I purchased this bag 12 years ago, and at long last, I was ready for an update. Though the bag has changed modestly over the years, it remains an outstanding product for daily use. It is sturdy, functional, and comfortable to carry. It remains an incredible deal for the amount of use I have gotten from the last bag. Here's hoping this one lasts 12+ years.

I use it as my every day purse. I can fit everything I need in it, and I don't have to worry about scratches or stains like a regular purse. I love it so much I'm tempted to make a second one in wilder colors.
