I ordered these for my husband and myself. Our daughter wanted everyone to have matching shoes. We both went down 1/2 size and they were still perfectly roomy.

These are the best Chucks ever. They fit wider in the toe box area than other Chucks. (I've owned several pairs and with this purchase, I also tried the Chuck II and found the 70's to be more comfortable.) They have more padding in the sole than the original Chucks. I usually wear a size 8 in most shoes and in these the size 7 fit perfectly. Got them in parchment and they look great.

I bought these for my husband. He has dozens of pairs of tennis shoes and these are his favorite by far. They are very comfortable, he wears them all the time and he loves them. They look a little different from the Converse today. He says they are the "real" ones. Run a little big. Almost by a size.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70's look...feel even smell like the real thing. Get them half a size smaller.

My first pair of Chuck's and I'm crazy about them! It's been ages since I found anything so comfortable that goes with all things casual. Now I want them in every color! I normally wear a ladies 8.5 med and the men's size 6 is a perfect fit.

These are awesome shoes. Great color - more ivory/light beige than white. I normally wear a 9.5 but got a 9 and they fit perfectly. The sole of the shoe is super comfy and walking in them has been great. No tightness, blisters, etc. I absolutely love this shoe!

These are awesome! If you know your current size in the canvas version then order that same size. Follow the chart. We first ordered a pair in leather and they were to tight. I think it was a difference in fabric! The leather gave my daughter blisters, this is the way to go! Perfect fit and love the style! Fast shipping. And the best service in the business ! Since my other chucks are ready for retirement I thought I would give the 70s a try. I got one in white and one in red. They were comfortable from the start. They have more cushioning than the regular Chucks. The fit is a little different due to the retro style. I'm pleased with them and like the retro look. I would recommend giving these a try and as well the great service you get from Zappos.

I've worn Chuck Taylors for close to 40 years and these are great. I normally wear a size 9.5 shoe and knock down to a size 9 for chucks. These felt even larger and I had to return the 9's for an 8.5 and they seem great, a full size smaller than my normal size. The rubber sole is just that all rubber. If you've noticed lately the outer edges of Chucks made in China have some weird fuzz embedded in them that makes them quite slippery and hard. Apparently this was a scheme to get them classified as slippers not shoes and avoid an import tariff on shoes. Crazy I know but it's documented online. The canvas is heavier too. The laces are narrower but thicker and appear to be 100% cotton not synthetic fiber. Now if the sides don't crack right at the flex point above the sole of the shoe these will be the greatest Chucks I've owned in a long time. So far they appear to be worth the extra money, time will tell

Ordered these for an '80s party. I wanted to get a pair that I could wear afterward. These are excellent quality and I like the cushioned insole. They are a little narrow in the toe area but I always have that problem due to bunions. Normal feet shouldn't have that problem. Nevertheless, I love them anyway.

Some products quality gets worse over the years. Not Chucks. These shoes are just as good as the ones I wore in 1977.

This is an awesome shoe! Much better than the cheaper version and well worth the extra money (and I have eight pairs of various versions of Chucks these are the best and the look is absolutely classic). I got the "Amazon" (green) and the color is amazing. Do order a full size smaller than your regular size I'm going for the crimson next!

They fit like all Chucks - about 1/2 size too big. I have 8 pair of Chucks, but these are the first pair of the "'70s" version. Without a doubt, they are the most comfortable sneakers I have and they look really cool! The toe box is much different and takes some getting used to but it is definitely worth spending the extra money. The cushion is so much better and they feel sturdier. Also, they don't look as cheap.

I ordered these in my usual size - a men's 7/women's 9, and they are huge. They are at least one size too big. Back they go.

I liked the customer service overall. I just made mistakes and ordered way too big shoes but I got new ones within 2 days. So nice.

I have had the "newer Chucks" in the past and they were so uncomfortable to me that I would not wear them if I new I'd be on my feet for a long period of time. These Chucks feel like real shoes and quite a bit more support than the other ones. The cheaper Chucks almost hurt my feet when I wear them. I can wear these all day if needed. Worth the extra money. The cheaper Chucks were so thin on the bottom that I felt shorter than I would with a normal pair of shoes. These have a thicker sole. Also, an eyelet broke on my shoes and Zappos was great to deal with and I got a replacement very easily. They look good with blue jeans.

I've had another pair of Chucks (I think the regular ones) that just didn't feel right--the canvas felt thin and there wasn't enough arch support for me). The '70 Ox is priced at a premium, but it's worth it to me. Materials feel superior, and more important, the arch support is substantially better. I ordered a half size down and the fit is fine for my wide feet. I will likely get another pair and wish Zappos carried the one in blue.

Wonderful classic shoes. They are off white and look very cute with anything. Comfortable and fit well. I got them in a men's 8 &1/2 which was perfect for my size 10 & 1/2 foot.

I'm happy with these shoes. I wear an 8 1/2 in women's and find that I need to order up a size with Chucks. The red is a bit more maroon than it appears in the photo.

They're Chucks; they're perfect. I buy a new pair almost every year. I love the vintage look of these.

Wow! I LOVE these all star ox ! They are sturdier than the contemporary version. The canvas is heavier and the rubber feels sturdier. Hopefully they won't do that annoying delamination of the rubber coming away from the canvas where your foot bends. I felt they run true to size, as I ordered the same size I always do. I usually wear a women's 8 but I always order size 5.5 (women's 7.5) in all my converse ox and Jack Purcell. They fit great!! Would love them in navy! (Hint, hint....converse people..).

Love these! I have MANY pairs of CT All Stars and they have definitely made these more like my Jack Purcells (i have many of those too). These have way more cushion and support. I have read elsewhere that these run smaller than usual. I disagree. I bought the same size in these as my originals and they fit exactly the same. They do run bigger than "normal" tennis shoes. Enjoy. They are cute and comfortable now!

These ran a full size large. My husband wears a 10.5 in Nikes and New Balance (running shoes) and these were too big in a 10, so they are going back for a 9.5.
