As some have said, I really wanted to love this sneaker. I have at least 6 pair of Dansko shoes -- open back, closed back clogs and a pair of sandals. One pair I have is 6 years old and I still wear it several times a week. Comfortable as always. I have severe arthritis in my big toe. Flexing it is very painful & the Dansko clogs make my work days so much better. Unfortunately the Dansko sneakers do not offer anywhere near the same comfort. I've worn them to work twice and both times came home limping from the pain in my foot. I have high heels that are more comfortable in an 8 hour office day than these sneakers. What a shame! I use my wellness money to buy sneakers I thought I could go walking in at lunchtime. That's not going to happen. I tried thicker socks...no improvement. I cannot wear these sneakers to work, or to walk, or to shop, or even to sit at my desk. While I would heartily recommend Dansko clogs, I'd advise anyone with sensitive feet to avoid these shoes at all costs.

I fell in love with these as soon as I took them out of the box and put them on, they are cute and comfortable! I am a nurse, and have tried every size and style of Dansko clog known to man, but I could not find any that would fit my high instep. These shoes were the perfect solution of support and fit with the adjustable lacing of athletic shoes. The only thing that I did not like was that the outsole squeaked horribly on everything but carpet. That is not a nice feature for a registered nurse working the night shift. Sadly, they have been returned.

I ordered, but returned this shoe. The arch of the shoe hit me in the wrong place which happens often for me with shoes. Visually, the arch didn't look unusual but when I put the shoe on, it felt like I had a golf ball in my shoe! It was such a significant "knob" and in totally the wrong spot for me. I'm still looking for a workable athletic shoe.

I have been plagued with fallen arches and plantar fasciitis since November of last year. I used to wear Dansko clogs for work/home from 1996-2011. I have had two babies since 2011, and my feet have changed and I have not been able to wear the clogs as I would like. After working long hours as a nurse, sometimes I want to cry because my feet ache/throb so badly. I was so hoping that these shoes would provide me with much better arch support to help out with my current problems - unfortunately, I could tell immediately after lacing them up that the arch support was not there - and for the price, I could not risk wearing them as I would have liked. The one positive - as always - Zappos has a wonderful customer service department and return policy.

These shoes are way too wide...I compared them to three other pairs of normal width shoes, and they are about a half an inch wider, all the way back through the heel. They also feel about a half a size too small. I got a 39 for 8.5-9 (I wear an 8.5), and they were too small.These are definitely not normal width shoes. I even tried them with heavy socks on and my feet were sliding side to side in the shoes, and it looked like I was wearing my dad's shoes. Going back!

Like other reviews I bought these to wear on the treadmill. They did not work for me. The heel slips as they do with the Dansko Clogs. Not sure if that's they way they are designed but for me it is not a good fit. Going back.

I really wanted to like this shoe, but I don't. First of all, most of the upper material is synthetic not leather. For me it doesn't tie up tight or stay tied. I fight a constant battle to keep my shoes tied tightly. Because I can't tie them tight, my feet slide and turn out, which is no good. Unfortunately, I found this out the hard way when I wore these to school on a Friday. I usually LOVE Danskos and recommend them to anyone who will ask, but these are a no-go for me.

I do not believe any kind of athletic event could be completed wearing these shoes. I have all kinds of issues and reading reviews I thought maybe they would offer support from the ground up -- they are not especially comfortable and definitely could not withstand lateral movement of any kind. The appearance of these shoes only is bearable if the support is there, without that - they are unattractive at best. Sorry...hate these and love ZAPPOS tho!

I bought these shoes because I love to walk, but with a recent bout of plantar fasciitis, I knew I needed a shoe with good arch support. I've been wearing Dansko clogs for a while and trusted that these sneakers would be as comfortable. Sadly, that's not the case for me. The toe box, although it looks wide enough, really made my bunions flare up...to the point of being very red and sore. I've worn them outside and enough times thinking they would break in, so I can't in good conscience return them, but I can't recommend them either.

For the price, this shoe is the most uncomfortable, no support, hard to walk in shoe I have ever purchased. They are not flexible at all so when you walk the don't bend and sound like you are walking in swim flippers!

I have been a Dansko's fan for years both with recreational and professional footwear but the Dansko Shayla sneakers are a real disappointment. For the cost they seem flimsy and do not provide the support and comfort I have come to expect with this company. I do like the color and styling but that doesn't compensate for the rest. Sorry Dansko, you really blew it on this one.

Not worth the money some of the threads are coming loose, not enough traction on sole. Have only had these shoes 6 months and have worn very little!

I wear Dansko clogs, so I had high hopes for these. I found them to be extremely uncomfortable. Hard to believe when you look at them. After only 5 minutes on the treadmill, I had to change shoes. Felt like I was walking on nothing. They look well-padded, but that's not how they felt to me. (I do have "skinny" feet, i.e., very little padding. But I expected better from Dansko.) Also, the heel slips a lot. Cute, but not comfortable.
