I dislike Hook and Loop fasteners on outdoor clothing. At least the old kind. Velcro brand has new two sided Velcro that is soft and does not cling to wool and fleece clothing like the old style. The old style f Hook and Loop catches on your clothing and fills with debris. A really poor choice for outdoor products and clothing in my opinion.

I like this jacket just fine. But I wouldn't have bought this individual one if I had others to choose from at a store. But when you buy online It seems companies set aside the ones with little defects cuz most people won't return them.

Great for light rain and shoe durations outside.
Not for heavy rain conditions or more than two hours in rain, water will eventually get in.

I purchased this jacket specifically for birding activities. The jack looks nice, fits true to size, and appears to be waterproof; however, it's extremely noisy - in fact, one of the noisiest jackets I've ever worn. If you anticipate using this for outdoor activities that involve wildlife, look elsewhere.

It's a good jacket for use in normal rainy conditions. I wore it in two hurricanes and it didn't really handle the constant wind and rain well. Water made its way in through the front zipper and the arms allow water in after a while. It's good to wear for short periods of time, but nothing more than that.

I ordered a Large- Way to SMALL/Short- I had a black jacket from years ago- fit perfect(Large) - had to return for X-Large - (still a little to short)-Decided to get a Brighter color -Yellow - mistake- I believe there overseas contractor makes the clothes-jackets-shirts-( too small- too short)- Not True to Size.- There is another LAND at the End...Columbia needs to check there sizes closer.Need Better Control/Oversight..

I bought this product as an attempt to get a slightly heavier rain jacket but this jacket was a little lighter and not as heavy duty as I imagined. It also fit a little too big on me.

This could be described as a windbreaker, very thin, with only a very thin mesh like lining. And there are velcro things outside the main zipper, these have a cheap feel to them and they make it hard to zip and unzip. This is the 1st Columbia item that I didn't like!
I do love the color, Night Shadow.

Bought the MEN'S WATERTIGHT II JACKET small size. This jacket looks nice. I was expecting a hood that could be folded into the neck's collar, as other rain jacket I have purchased about 6 months ago. The hood on this jacket is cannot be fold. The jacket was comfortable, but the cost was a big too high. There is no rain in California, so I have not have a chance to test out this jacket, yet.

Jacket is ok, nothing really out of the ordinary. It's packable, works on a light rainy day , still feels as if not enough ventilation as it's suppose to feel. You feel a little sticky when wearing in the heavy rain. Size is not right, I wear size large in other rain jackets and this jacket is too long way to wide and the hoody if not tighten up correctly covers your eyes completely. But for our all around rainy days it will do.

It works great in the rain etc but a huge purchase point for me was that it claimed to be packable. It's not. All of the videos show a pocket on the inside of the jacket to pack it. There's nothing there. It appears the older jackets have it but not the newer ones. Returned to the store when I discovered this.

I purchased a Glennaker Lake Trail Jacket and loved the fit. So I decided to order the Watertight Jacket in orange to use for work. Both jackets were purchased as XLT and the Glennaker fits perfectly. The Watertight seems to have shorter sleeves, which makes zero sense because the body fits the same. But the sleeves are easily 2 inches shorter. Extremely frustrating to have this much of a sizing issue between almost identical jackets.

I wore this jacket during a light rain while walking my dogs and was soaked to the skin after twenty minutes. Where did it get all those five star reviews from? Does the designer have that many brother in laws. This jacket is all but new and is totally inadequate for the purpose I purchased it for.

I bought a Watertight II and a Glennaker jacket at the same time, both in size M. The Glennaker fits perfectly and is very comfortable. The Watertight II is very snug in the armpits and around the mid-section (I am a slim 5' 10" and 180lb). Also, the hood has some strange, fixed elastic pulls that aren't intuitive (the hood is also non-stowable). And while the jacket is described as "packable" there are no guides on the product page (or that come with the product) on how to pack it.

This is the 3rd Rain Jacket I have purchased from Columbia and am very disappointed in the zipper. This zipper in no way compares with the first jacket's zipper. Columbia has gone from a robust double zipper to a fragile, cheap single zipper. I bought this jacket as the second jacket's zipper had broken and I needed a replacement. I don't hold out much hope that this new jacket's zipper will last very long at all.
I am a huge fan of Columbia products, but this Jacket fails to meet the quality standard that I have come to expect with Columbia products. I will continue to buy Columbia products, just not items with zippers.

The jacket runs small. I have an XL but it feels like a medium. After a couple of wears it's not water resistant anymore. What's the purpose of wearing it if you still get wet.

I have had a similar Columbia jacket for about 10 years. The new one is simply not as good. The size runs about 2 x smaller than my old Medium. the new one uses velcro across the zipper which is way harder to use than the snaps used previously. The hood does not appear to be lined. The Large still has high tight armholes so I don't know if I can wear it over a sweater. Now that I write this I am not sure why I am keeping it.

I bought this because of the reviews. After receiving the jacket, I do not know why all the reviews say it is warm. IT is NOT warm at all, and feels very cheap, and VERY Thin. I did not expect it to be a heavy jacket, but it is thinner than a windbreaker, and the pictures on the site do not represent this product at all. It looks like there is padding around the neck, and there is not, not even close. Thinking of returning.
