The zipper on this coat, as on many other Columbia coats, splut from the bottom up on the very first time the coat was zipped closed. The coat was returned for poor manufacture quality.

It works well to keep the rain off. Very small in the shoulders and arms compared to the rest of the coat. Usually I wear a 1x or 2x and had to order the 3x and still can't wear bulky items underneath.

The proportional fit of this jacket is off. It was clearly not modeled on an actual plus size women. The jacket was wide enough through the hips, but WAY to small in the upper arms/armholes. I guess they didn't think women with large hips would also have large arms?!?! Bummer.

The jacket fits very nicely, has a nice shape, and is attractive. It's a nice windbreaker for cooler days. My problem is that it is definitely NOT waterproof. When I wear it in the rain, water rolls off me for about 3 minutes before it starts soaking through the material. I took my dog on a 10 minute walk around the block in moderate rain (he's slow) and by the time we got back to the house, I was soaked through to the skin and had to throw all my clothes in the dryer. So if you're going to be outside in a light drizzle for under 5 minutes, you might be OK. But if it's actually raining, you're going to get drenched. I'm really disappointed, because I like the jacket otherwise. But I did buy it because I wanted a waterproof raincoat.

I should have listened to the other reviews of this jacket. The sleeves are extremely tight and narrow. They are very out of proportion to the rest of the jacket. Any movement, such as paddling, would be extremely restricted or nearly impossible in this jacket. If the sleeves were a normal width, the jacket would be great for outdoor activities.

I loved this product when I ordered it. But, it runs very small! I normally wear a 2x but it was extremely tight in the shoulders and seemed like the sewing in the shoulders were off. The design of the jacket did not work well at all. I feel like rain jackets should fit bigger or true to size and this is not the case.

Ordered one size bigger than I needed. Unfortunately it was still really small.

Unfortunately the 3x is more like a 1x. Its a good company and product but quality control need to check sizing with the real world. I wear a 2x usually and could not get my arms in the 3x... never would be able to layer under it either... too bad.... loved the emeral green color!

I was SO excited to find a quality raincoat in simple black, especially with such a feminine, flattering cut. I carefully took all my measurements and selected the best size for me within an inch or two, according to the guide. I even considered the other reviews which say this item runs "a little small." My coat arrived only 2 days later (impressive, with basic ground shipping), but it's an absolute tent. The flattering cut to accentuate the waist was entirely wasted, as there's almost a foot of extra fabric billowing unattractively around my middle. At the same time, the sleeves are too short and the shoulders are already a bit snug; sizing down would likely make this style unwearable for me, as I need my full range of motion for my job. Money is really tight right now, and I'm crushed that this didn't work out. I'll definitely be returning it, and since there are no exchanges, only reordering, I don't think I'm able to afford the extra shipping costs trying to find the right size. Was hoping to find the perfect raincoat for working outdoors during PNW winters, but this is probably not it.

If you normal wear a 2x this jacket will not fit you. I bought a 3x and it was the size of a medium jacket, loved the color just wish they would fix there sizing issue

I'm getting ready for a trip to several northern countries in Europe, and was looking for a jacket that was not too heavy, but that could provide wind-breaking/warmth, if needed. After reading other reviews I bought a 3X, thinking that should work. But I could barely get this jacket on because this jacket is cut so small in the shoulders. Columbia needs to do something about its designs for plus sized jackets/coats if it plans to continue to serve this customer base. Very disappointed in this jacket. I had to send it back, at my own expense.

Upper sleeve is cut small and constricts with any undergarment - if I went sleeveless under it there still would be significantly reduced free movement. Overall, the jacket is cut smaller than usual for the size marked - I expected this since I've found this to be true for Columbia Women's options in the past - I like the quality and workmanship of the brand so I ordered up and, as I anticipated, it fit as my regular size would - except the sleeves which are tight. I would not recommend this style to a friend.
