These are cute and stylish sandals great for wearing with shorts and skirts. The foot bed has more cushioning than what's typical for this type of style. The straps are soft and felt kind of floppy when I first tried them on, and I was concerned about whether I could walk in these without my foot sliding all around. After wearing them a few times I found them to be secure enough. They're not for walking miles in, after all. Size wise, I had to go up to an 11 to get a good fit. It seems like size 10s are shorter than they used to be, and I'm having to go up to 10.5 (when I can find one) or 11 more and more. I have old size 10 shoes that still fit fine, so ???. Anyway, I also have wide feet and high arches and finding sandals that even go on my feet is a challenge. If you have these issues, you may like these sandals too.

Overall this was a nice comfortable sandal and it looks nice. I usually don't like anything between my toes but these sandals are comfortable enough that having leather between the big and second toe didn't bother me much. The only reason I rate 4 starts instead of 5 is because I would have liked a little more heel.

Super comfortable, but the color of the brown leather was lighter than the photo. It is close to a maize yellow and didn't suit my Asian complexion.

I'm happy with this purchase. The style is cute and there is sufficient padding on the footbed to keep you comfortable all day. I usually wear a 7-7.5 so I sized down. Because of this with the first wear there was a small need to break the shoe in and I found the thong strap a little uncomfortable. However the shoe stretched ever so slightly afterwards and I've had no further issues. If your between a 7.5-8 I would definitely go with the 8.

It was a tough call, but I am returning these. They fit and felt great right out of the box, and they are attractive. Two things bugged me...1) because of the padding, they actually felt a little wobbly and unsteady. I can see how the padding would be a benefit to someone else however. 2) They made noise when I walked, seemed to be air expelling from the heel? If it weren't for #2 I probably would have kept them because they are a great shoe for the price. I am size 9-9.5 and the size 9 was great on. Maybe even a tiny bit loose in the front, which may have contributed to #1 unsteadiness mentioned above. I have medium width feet verging on wide, and a high instep.

These are very cute shoes with great support considering the style. Perhaps not the shoe for an extended day's walking, (especially at age 63) but perfect when you don't want something too clunky. I usually wear an 8.5, so considering some of the reviews, ordered an 8, which was toes-hanging-over-the-edge too small. So I'm returning for a 9.

A nice, basic comfortable summer shoe. The straps do not rub at all.

I wish I could give this a five star rating because I love this shoe! It is stylish and looks great on, but it is not a shoe for wearing all day if doing a lot of walking. Because of the moderate arch support, my feet were tired after a few hours of errands and shopping, therefore I could not give it a five star rating for comfort. Would I buy this shoe again? Absolutely!! But not if comfort was my top priority.

This style is just what I was looking for - a basic black strappy sandal. Although the sole is the right width, the straps are really too long and my feet swim around in them when I walk. The toe thong keeps them sort of in place, so they are fine for walking short distances. I don't think they would work very well for walking all day, however.

As with most Born shoes I have tried, there is great cushioning at the sole and the shoe is comfortable..initially. Then, the walk test. As with most Born sandals, there is some fancy schmancy carving into the sole of the shoe (top and bottom). The bottom part looks cute, the top part just cuts the feet..like a knife. I have worn this sandal multiple times, for short and long walks on vacation and just around town. After 1 hour of walking, I definitely feel the burn -- the soles of my feet feel like they are on fire and about the slough off from all the friction from the weird leather pieces stitched into the sole and continuously rub on the balls of the feet. I bought some strappy heels that are WAY more comfortable than these. I'd rather wear those cute heels everywhere than these 'meh' shoes because I prefer not to have the sensation of skin begin torn from my soles. I have worn these shoes all day when traveling and was almost crying in pain by the end of the day, so I would limit wearing these to maybe 3 hours MAX.

These are really nice looking on my feet and a good fit. They are like a flip flop but more secure with the back and side straps. The foot bed is padded and comfortable. My only complaint is that there is little to no arch support. I need that when I do a lot of walking. I am probably going to return them and try an Aerosol sandal next. I'm disappointed because they really do fit me well and look so good. Take note Born and add some arch support!

I have a rather fat foot, so these were a little struggle to get on the first couple of times. The leather straps have stretched out nicely and they fit me great and are super comfortable. I wish the strap that the buckle clasp was on was maybe 1/4 inch longer as it's still a bit of a chore to clasp it closed. Otherwise, they are great!

So comfortable! Soft leather, soft soles. Wish it came in 1/2 sizes. I wear a 9 1/2. The 9 seemed a little short so I returned for the 10, but the straps are pretty loose around my foot in the 10. Still, I've really enjoyed. Great neutral color.

I bought this sandals 2 summers ago and wore it a lot that summer, like almost everyday. They were comfortable, and looked fairly nice on my feet (considering that I have ugly feet, wide and flat). The leather straps were soft and the footbed did not make the soles of my feet sweat. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it's just good for one summer (if you're wearing it a lot like I did) because the leather became loose and my feet were sliding.

These shoes are super cute. I have a mild bunion on one foot, and these shoes do a great job of hiding it :-). One issue I do have is that they are very loose on my feet. Granted, I have very narrow, skinny feet...but still, I've never had this issue with other shoes. I feel like my feet kinda slosh around in them. That is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars. I even poked an extra hole in the strap to tighten them, but that did very little. I'm still going to keep them..but for $85 you kinda want them to be perfect. So I am a little bummed about that.

Cute, basic, great comfy footbed, decent for walking long distances. My foot's not particularly wide, but my big toes reached the inner edge of the tow area. Very similar to Born Idina, but these are more stable/supportive.

Cute sandal with good support. A bit wide on me, but I have a very narrow foot and have issues finding sandals in a narrow width.

These are nice looking, well-made sandals. The brown is more of a mustard color, which I was not crazy about, and the footbed did not have the support that I thought it would, so I returned them.

A couple of the straps are just too loose. It felt like loose’ shoes. I am returning them.

Sandals arrived today, and I'm so surprised to find that the "fire red" is not red at all. I actually checked my box to make sure I'd received the correct item. The color is distinctly a salmon color--my computer showed the shoe as a "rose" I'd say, but I was mislead, by "fire red". The straps, because they are so slender, do not support my foot very well, and the adjustable strap buckle is uniquely difficult to adjust--the good news is, once adjusted, I do not need to open it to put the sandals on each time. I'll give these 4 stars because they are pretty, and I'm keeping the sandal because the foot bed is comfortable; even though the color is surprising, given the name "fire red" I will be able to wear them with linen, and summer cottons. A plus is that the slender styling is feminine and pretty, not clunky as some sandals are described.

I really like these! They have a slim profile while still offering some support. I vastly prefer something like this to the completely flat (Sam Edelman, etc.) sandals that are stiff as boards. One minor drawback - the little loop where you insert the excess after buckling is almost too small for the strap. Odd. I really had to work to get it through. But, the nice part is, there is a little bit of elastic on the strap. So you don't have to buckle these each time. You can just slip on. I got the silver color but it's very subdued, it's a great versatile neutral. I'd even consider getting these in other colors, or replacing when they wear out. Good stuff.

This is definitely a great sandal - it's comfortable right out of the box with some cushion; much better than your average totally flat, piece-of-cardboard-sole sandal. The design is incredibly cute, and the straps are really comfortable. However there is no arch or heel support to speak of and your feet will get fatigued after a while of walking in them. I wouldn't wear these for a long day of errand running or sightseeing; they would be better for a lunch or dinner date, or a day on the beach or an outdoor concert or something (when you're going to be sitting as much or more than you'll be on your feet). I'm a size 7.5 and the size 7 sandals fit me well.

I wanted to like these unfortunately the heel was too loose for me. Even with the strap tightened all the way my heel would slide side to side and off the sandal when walking. Otherwise they are very cute and comfortable. I got the silver color and It seemed like a metallic - not a true silver or gold rather something in between.

These are very sweet sandals, and I thought for sure I'd be keeping them when I ordered. I ordered my usual size 9, B (medium) width. I definitely do not have wide feet, in fact they run closer to the narrow side. This sandal in size 9 literally was the exact same size of my foot--there was no footbed to spare as is typical with most shoes. It really looked like I was wearing too small of a sandal with these, my foot almost bulging out the side. The footbed is soft & comfortable, I like the soft and flexible straps, and I like the look of these sandals a lot. However, being smaller & narrower than anticipated, they did not flatter my feet and every time I took a step, my big toe would actually slide off the footbed. I don't know the Born brand too well, if they offered half sizes I would have tried a 9.5, but going up to a 10 seemed like it would be too big. The sole is pretty thin, I do not think these shoes would hold up or be very comfortable for a full day of walking paved streets. Otherwise, a very sweet, delicate sandal--with an unlimited budget I would have kept them to have on hand, but I found a much better option with the Chaco Sofia & couldn't justify 2 pairs of similar sandals.
