Used this jacket for a week of hiking and sightseeing in Alaska. It did it all, blocked the wind, was breathable hiking, kept my dry. Highly recommend. I purchased a large to have room for layers, great fit.

Love the jacket- have been biking in thunderstorms and still bone dry underneath. Have Also managed to run a 20km trail with it on- underarm vents ensured I didn't overheat. A++

Great lightweight jacket for rainy backpacking trips. Pit zips make this jacket bearable on long hikes. I love the high pocket access; above pack belt height.

My PreCip Jacket checks all the boxes for function, style, and value. Function is #1 and the PreCip has been great in rain, wind, or whenever I've needed a lightweight shell layer. The pockets, closures, and drawstrings are well-designed and versatile. And it rolls up tight and light for easy transport just in case the weather turns. Style-wise, the PreCip looks great in a variety of settings -- rugged, casual, and travel. I could have worn a Size M, but sized up to a L to allow for a sweater or fleece layer underneath. With or without the layer underneath, the L still hangs nicely with clean, straight lines. The PreCip has indeed become my 'Go-To' jacket. It's already earned it's keep with me, and I foresee years of use ahead.

The Marmot - PreCip is exactly what you'd want in a light-weight, stuff-able wind and rain shell. I've owned three over the years and the latest version is the best so far.

This is a great rain jacket but i also use it for an all around jacket in 45-60 degree weather and is. It packs down to about the size of a pint glass, has fully tapped seams, zippers in the arm pits for ventilation and an adjustable hoodie. I liked mine so much i bought the womens version for my wife. i am 6' 1", 170 pounds and the medium fits me very well.

The PreCip Jacket is my go to outer layer for my trips in New England and Virginia! Light weight and versatile, it packs small and can always be found in my bag with a pair of gloves and hat. The jacket is a perfect windbreaker, protects you from even hard rain, and with warm layers, can keep you safe in the White Mountains spring-fall.

This is my go to rain jacket when the weather is wet. If it is chilly, I just put a vest on underneath. Sizing is accurate too

This light weight rain jacket has traveled everywhere with me from Hawaii to the Florida keys, where sadly I misplaced it. It was immediately replaced! Packable, great for those passing rain showers and longer soaks- the pitzips are great in those hotter climates. Many want to be's have entered the market, but marmot's the best!

Living in the high desert, my precip doesn't see much use; but when the monsoons come, it stays in the car ready and waiting for the moment to keep me dry either at work or at play. Runs a bit large; however this is good for layering on colder/wetter days.

This jacket kept me dry through a rainy and active cruise through Alaska's Inside Passage. I wore it over layers as I hiked and biked in rainy conditions. It was a grest weight and had the added benefit of folding up into a really small size for packing. I also like the color, which, I believe, was called Storm. It was perfect!

Lightweight and durable. This jacket is a staple in my gear kit. Keeps you 100% dry even after hours in the elements. I like the pit zips when the temps rise and appreciate the extended hood that comes over almost like a hat brim to keep rain/snow/sleet out of my eyes.

I'm a seasonal commercial fisherman, standing in rivers sometimes up to my waist, often in rainy and snowy weather. I picked up this jacket to help keep me dry, and I was surprised by how well it worked. I wear it year-round now for all my outdoor adventures!
