Wanted a lightweight shell for everyday use yet light enough for backpacking (weight/ounces). This fits the bill. Nothing super fancy and totally functional. Breathable and keeps me dry and warm when layered. Wish there were brighter colors. Got the blue. The sizing works for me: small/petite size (5'2", 115 lbs)

I hiked through Scotland and Northern England last summer and purchased this as my protective rain gear. When the rains inevitably fell, i donned my PreCip jacket and not a single bit of moisture made it through the jacket. Has to be the best purchase I've made in a long while!

Keeps you dry! The only time I've ever been wet in this is in a torrential downpour that lasted like 5 hours plus. Made it a couple of hours before wetting out

I just purchased this jacket this winter, so I haven't been able to use it much yet. I don't like super crinkly jackets, and this one isn't too bad. Good color and fit, and I love the pit zips.

Great jacket! Husband loves it - super lightweight and waterproof. Fit is perfect - long throughout torso - armpit vents too. Overall the perfect rain coat:)

Just the right weight for everyday rain in the city

I bought this jacket about 6 years ago and I wear it constantly. With the hideaway hood, it makes for an excellent windbreaker while on the sidelines for fall and spring sports. I just purchased my 2nd PreCip Jacket since I get so much wear out of it.

I have owned many precip jackets over the years and this one fits and performs as expected. It's light weight, so easy to carry in a pack, and very waterproof.

This rain jacket was the perfect pack-along for unexpected weather. The lightweight jacket fit into my day pack and when it wasn't raining provided an extra insulating layer. Nice zip pockets. I cannot imagine taking my trip to Peru without this jacket.

This latest purchase was a replacement for a quite old PreCip. Cant be beat- it is my go to rain jacket and wind jacket

I've tried several rain jackets and been disappointed. I tried the OR Helium and found it too flimsy. The REI Goretex was too stiff and heavy. The Precip is the perfect medium and comes with tons of good features. It keeps me dry, allows room to move, and vents well. Love it.

The jacket fit perfectly and seems like it will be great in the rain. The coat is a beautiful blue color.

Bought this as a multipurpose rain jacket. I wanted it for backpacking, fishing trips and just being outside on a rainy day. The weight, breathability, and size when packed into its pocket attracted me to it. And it performs well.

I love the quality, the fit and its pack ability. I keep it in my work backpack and doesn't take up too much room. Keeps me dry.

I've had this jacket for about a month now and have been wearing it in the wind and rain while making deliveries. It is light and flexible which allows me to wear over sweaters for warmth, allows for lots of movement without any areas feeling restrictive, and keeps me well shielded from the wind and heavy rain without that sauna effect that lesser quality raincoats have while sweating. Also, I am curvy and was worried about it being boxy or ill-fitting, but I am happy to say that this jacket is just roomy enough where it counts and still has a feminine shape. I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains constantly, and have gone through many "waterproof" jackets that made me sweat and/or turned out not to be waterproof when put to the test, so I am very happy with this one. Would definitely buy again if needed, and definitely recommend.

Love this jacket!! Found one on sale in the dark blue around 5 years ago and it has held up great. My favorite parts of this jacket is the pit zips (very helpful for warm rainy days) and the velcro-adjustable hood which makes my life easier as a tiny-headed human. Bought another in copper because I thought I had lost the old one - surprise, it was still in a suitcase from my last trip! So now, I have two of these awesome jackets that I can rotate depending on the rest of the fit.
