Purchased these shoes and within a week, the bungy strap was breaking. Quality was not what I expected for the price

Zappos rocks, Keen is usually phenom (all 5 of my kids wear Keens) but we had two pair of these fail - the soles started separating from the shoe. Zappos treated me like the most important person in the world and so all is well and we will try a different set of Keens.

We usually have good luck with Keens...but I am really disappointed in this pair. My son has worn them only to school for the 2 weeks and already the rubber decorative striping is peeling off the sides, and the side straps are already showing wear. Otherwise the shoes still look brand new. I expected more from this brand.

We always buy keens and my son has a narrow-width foot, but these are VERY narrow and it is such a shame because they meet the uniform code at his school, but are still great for church and play. We ordered a full size larger than he needed, but they are still way too narrow.

We are huge fans of Keens. In fact, it is the only brand I buy for my 10 year old son. They are the most durable of all brands. This model, however I cannot endorse. My son loves it - it's super comfortable. However, the strap on the outside that runs from the tongue at a diagonal down the side has worn out and broken causing the shoe to be too loose. I'd say this was a fluke, but I contacted Zappos (hurray for Zappos!) and they replaced it. It happened again. I can't be certain but I think this comes from sitting on the ground in the "criss-cross applesauce" (formerly known as Indian-style) position. My son will be disappointed to here he is not getting a new pair for the start of school this year.

My son loved these shoes. I bought them because I was tired of buying tennis shoes every two months after he had worn through them. Unfortunately, like others have written, these have a design flaw. The strap on the side that holds the toggle top straps breaks. The first time it happened, my son had definitely worn the shoes, but since it was summer, they were more off than on. I emailed Zappos to see if there was a warranty on the shoe before I bought another pair, and they simply sent me another pair. How wonderful was that? He now has had the pair for about a month, and the same thing happened. We are so disappointed because he LOVES these shoes. But I just won't get another pair, because it's not worth it. Bummer. I will still try Keens though, because overall they are fabulous shoes that last! Thank you again Zappos for your fabulous customer service!

We have been very happy with Keen Kids shoes in the past. This particular pair completely fell apart in under 2 months of normal wear. The sole is cracked and leaking water into the shoe.

I ordered one pair for my 7 year old and less than a month later the side detail peeled right off. I've been buying these shoes for years and was really surprised. I'm returning them and getting another pair.

love keen but incredibly disappointed in quality. I ordered 2 pairs and both had excessive glue. this pair was the best of the 2. I hate returns and going through more of a hassle. I hope the next pairs are better.

love this shoe except all the glue over it. I hate returns but I refuse to pay for this. not a great experience. disappointed. been a long time keen buyer

We bought these shoes because our son cannot tie his shoes yet and the presume ease on and off when he is at summer camp. However after 3 days into wearing them, both shoes upper fasteners completely ripped off. We so disappointed to say the least.

These shoes fell apart with minimal wear in less than 3 months. Got a replacement pair and they lasted less than 2 months. Would not buy again.

I am keep buying this shoes because it’s the only one feet’s my kids leg braces , but the problem is it’s get all scratched on the bottom and creates a hall, it’s not sturdy enough for my kids

Kid loved this shoe. The style is attractive and he says it’s comfortable. BUT The nylon loops that hold the laces failed after only a month of wear. :-(

Very disappointed my son has worn these shoes for two weeks and they are falling apart. Not the quality I’m used to from Keen.

I have been purchasing KEEN for my kids for some time now. They were the only shoes that held up until my kids outgrew them. Not these. I purchased 3 pairs in different colors, and each child is having something falling apart on theirs. The designs on the side have ripped off, and on one of the pairs the sides of the sole are tearing off. I have no idea what happened with these, but KEEN fell short for sure. Highly disappointed. Look elsewhere.

My son loved these but we've only had them about a week and the little stripes on the sides pulled away and ripped. We want to return them.

We were severely disappointed in the quality of these shoes. After owning for only a few weeks and my son wearing approx 10 times, the side of the sole began tearing apart. We contacted Zappos and they sent a replacement pair which was great. However, after only wearing once, the replacement pair also began to fall apart. The side striping came apart from the shoe and again the sole started to unglue. I truly like Keen shoes and own 10 pair myself but this is not a good product, sadly.

Keen has been a great shoe for me, but apparently not for my child. In under a month the upper came unglued from the sole and the bungee lace fell apart.

It's hard to give any stars to a shoe that falls apart after five days of wearing but I can't leave a zero star review. The same strap mentioned by other reviewers tore after my son wore the shoes to camp for five days. Zappos is great, I'm sure they'll offer a replacement, but I just want my money back. I'm very disappointed as we have not had problems with other Keen shoes, this pair is just poorly designed.

I love Keens, I buy them for myself and my children. However this shoe is more of a water shoe and constructed very cheap, mostly synthetic with little to no cushion or arch support. After one day the elastic pulls fell off, I don't suspect they will last as long as other Keen models I have purchased in the past.

Love these shoes! But the rubber stripes that are on the sides peeled off in two days! My son loves them and still wears them but for the price you pay they should not fall apart in two days.
