My eight-year-old son loves these shoes! This is his second pair. The first pair still looked new when he outgrew them. He can do anything in these shoes- run, play, hike, climb. They look good with just about everything he wears. We keep buying Keen because they're comfortable (he likes the extra room in the toe box) and durable. We went orange this time and he's pretty sure they make him run faster! Thanks, Zappos!

Great durable shoe! My son (7 years old) is extremely hard on his shoes. I have tried multiple brands: Nike, Addidas, New Balance, Sketchers, Puma, etc. and they start showing wear within a few DAYS! These are the first pair of shoes that are lasting through his tough wear! Nice solid end of the toe and love the shoe strings because they don't continually come untied like other brands. Kudos to these shoes! I will definitely but them again as he grows because at least I know I can get my money out them :)

I pretty much exclusively buy Keens for my son; they are always comfortable, and sturdy enough that he doesn't destroy them before he outgrows them. Great shoes, this pair is no exception. He likes the orange.

Just received the shoe, but appears to have great construction and be tough shoe that can take some beating.

My son loves these! They are nice and light but have the toe 'guard' which seems to help with longevity. It's hard for me to comment on sizing, he likes his shoes to run a bit big. But I think they are fairly true to size. And we haven't had any problems with the elastic draw sting laces yet.

My step son loves these shoes. Makes him feel independent. Just need to know where to get replacement laces.

In our experience, Keens have been the best shoes for our boy. He has had this style several times. They do not get worn out, just super smelly as all his shoes do. We like these because they wear well and he can be rough with them without getting holes and with the black soles they do not look dirty as white soled shoes do. My boy is 6 and wears size 2.

Great shoe! Toe box is big but the construction of the shoe is great. Colors were a big hit my 7y/o son.

We love Keen brand for our boys, and I knew better then to order his true size as they normally run small. Returning the 1 and ordered the 2. We love the look and feel of this shoe, bonus it doesn't have to be tied!

These are durable and super comfortable. My seven year old destroys his shoes in a matter of weeks. These have held up perfectly for him. I just ordered another larger pair. He loves the adjustable closure. The shoe bases has nice bend to it for running. We also ordered my older son the Lookout which he likes but I would say they are slightly stiffer in the footbed but still bendy enough for gym and the playground. I will also comment that my boys have slightly wide feet and high insteps.

My son loves the Keen shoes. He says that they are comfortable and easy to take on and off. I think they great as well. We are now on our third pair. He has wide feet, and has never had an issue with them being too tight, except for the first time getting them on.

Love these shoes!! I bought them for my 10 year old son who is very hard on everything. These shoes are made for tough little boys! Well designed and good quality.

Good sturdy school shoe. This is the 3rd year in a row that we purchased this brand of shoe. Comfortable and well made. Stood up to the rigors of a pre-school aged boy. I really appreciated being able to order the shoes 2 days before school began and having them arrive in time.

Great shoes, my son loves them. I hope they hold up as well as the other kerns we have bought, so far we only had them a week.

My 6 year old son loves these shoes. They are super light and comfy. I trust Keen, I know the kind of shoes they make. I know my kid's feet are in really good shoes. I love that they don't impose laces; as for a young kid can be a pain to interrupt play time, or even worse they can trip with them and get hurt. The bright colors are a plus!

This is the second pair of this style I have purchased for my very active 6 yr.old. I love this shoe! I started buying Keen shoes for him 3 years ago and will continue to do so. The shoe holds up very nicely and I love that I can throw them in the wash if need be. My son loves that they are quick and easy to put on and he loves the bright colors they are available in. Perfect summer shoe with the breathable material and great for back-to-school too!

We used to go through a new pair of sneakers every month or so. My 9 year old son is tough on shoes! Ever since we started buying him Keens, they have lasted until he grows out of them! Love these!

These shoes seem great so far. They are light weight like a sneaker, but have the durability of Keens. We love this brand.

Most durable school shoe I have every purchased! My very active 5th grade son loved the comfort level as well as the ease of putting the shoe on while running out the door to the bus!

I'm a woman with fairly small feet. I save a few bucks by buying children's shoes when the styles are similar - like with Keens. These are a basic sneaker, nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary.

My 5 year old son loves this shoe. roomy and easy to slip on and off. I chose this shoe due to the rubber toe(s) area. My son loves to rack the toe of the shoe which would cause peeling. this shoe has passed the test.
