I got these as I wanted to try a flip flop with an arch support. Bottom line: They hurt. There was nothing really comfy about these, even to wear around the house. The material is extremely stiff. Remember, no shoe should ever have to be broken in. They should be comfortable right out of the box or they are not a good fit. They're going back. I did however, buy the High tide. and they were much better. See review on those.

I really wanted this flip flop to work for me because I am looking for more arch support, but I had to send it back. It was very uncomfortable, hard on my foot. I didn't want to take the time to see if I could used to them, because they hurt my feet after only a few minutes. The arch support is there, but it felt like it was pushing my foot off to the side and I didn't find the straps very secure on my feet. I am a size 8 and the 8 fit just fine.

Ouch! I have fairly high arches, but these are too high, and hurt my feet. Also, foot bed has no give; it is hard. These are straight out uncomfortable.

I purchased this sandal because of the style but reluctantly because of the mixed reviews. This sandal is so uncomfortable that I can't even walk in them. The arch support is terrible and very hard. It's a shame because it's a nice looking sandal. I will be returning them.

I really wanted to love this flip flop. I have high arches and I know that flip flops aren't the best shoe for my feet. However, sometimes flip flops are needed. Based on the reviews I decided to purchase these flip flops. The first day that I wore the flip flops, they really hurt my feet but I figured that maybe I needed to break them in. I have tried to wear them 3 other times but the discomfort didn't ease up. In fact, I had so much pain in my shins and ankles that I felt like I had ran a marthon in my bare feet. It hurt to walk. Definitely not the right flip flop for me. I will keep wearing the Sanuk Yoga Slings for now.

I bought these and unfortunately wore them outside before discovering that the patent leather design gave me a blister. I was able to unstitch the square in the front which made them wearable but I wouldn't recommend them. They are not comfortable.

I was very disappointed with this flip-flop. It seems that Vionic has forgotten that: 1) Women's feet are not always medium/wide (I have a narrow foot, so this flip-flop flopped all around my feet when I tried to walk). 2) Comfort means more than a high arch. This flip-flop was so hard, that my feet hurt. It would be nice to have some cushioning in addition to the arch support. 3) Why mess with an excellent design? The previous design of these flip-flops not only were more comfortable, but they had an adjustable strap so that you could loosen or tighten the strap to find your perfect fit! Please bring back the previous design!

I started with these flip flops when they were Orthaheel. Loved. When they became Vionic, they were not as good but still better than anything else I had tried. Do they keep changing them? I just ordered new ones to replace 2 year old shoes. They are so loose on my feet as to be useless. My old ones still fit better. Please go back to the original model!

I love this sandal except I ordered the navy and the patent leather strap has a more of a green tint -- I'm really disappointed --I will definitely order a different Vionic sandal - I have one pair already and the arch support is the best!

Very wide, and too long too. The 10 was at least an inch too long for my size 91/2, sometimes 10 feet. Not designed for my feet. Also, I purchased the gold, which turned out to be a boring camel color. No pizazz.

It's not the same. I have two old pairs that are still wonderful with fantastic arch support. These new ones have incomplete arch support and loose straps. Others here and I keep saying this -- don't ruin and change a previously great product?

Wish I read the reviews more closely before buying these shoes. I too have worn and loved many pairs of Orthaheels' version of the Tide. Vionics' new version of the Tide look the same in pictures but feel significantly different on: less cushioning, less arch support, smaller heel cup. Also, the straps were as loose out of the box as my oldest pair, which means that they would become ridiculously loose after only a few wears. I don't know where to go from here, but hope to find another brand of flip-flops as supportive and comfortable as the old Tide. No thanks given to Vionic for messing with a good thing. Great appreciation to Zappos for their wonderful return policy!

When I put moderate arch support, I'm being generous. These are not the Orthoheels of old. They are cheaper quality, variety and just plain not as pretty and feminine. Cheap knockoffs.

The arch support was to much, after wearing them for several hours the arch of my foot was tender and sore. They hurt my feet so I'm sending them back.

I desperately need shoes with good arch support, but like most Orthaheel styles, these are too loose. For some reason the manufacturer assumes that everyone who wants good support needs it because they are heavier than average and have, for lack of a more pc word, fatter than average feet. These soles are also cut longer than some of the styles in the same size. These are going back.

Just returned two Vionics with Orthaheel. Looks like they changed something from the original. I love my original Orthaheel. Definitely not the same. I am a 6 1/2 and my originals were a 6 and fit perfectly. Ordered a 6 again but a half size too small and no half sizes. I don't think the fit or the quality is up to par with the original Orthaheel. I was very disappointed. I am going to try the Abeo brand.

I so agree with people complaining about the changes made to the Tide sandal. I returned the Tide II sandals I purchased because they just don't have the same kind of arch support they used to have. It's just enough of a design change to make a difference. I think it's an attempt to appeal to a broader market, leaving us high-arched, plantar fasciitis sufferers to find another solution. I even wrote directly to Vionics to ask them to please please please bring back the original Tide. If you don't have high arches, this flip flop will seem great, but if you knew the original Tide, you will be disappointed.

As another reviewer wrote, these are not the original Orthoheel designed and engineered shoes. Bought many pairs when they first came out, years ago. LOVED them. Needed to replace some basic colors, so started out with this style in gold.(Vionic Tide 11 with ortholheel technology) and was very disappointed. The original had excellent outstanding arch support. This has moderate support. Overall cushioning had been excellent, now it is below average. This gold pair is more taupe and the refective gold part is made with a different material-seemingly cheaper. The pattern on the footbed and sole are different. The shoes feels lighter and thiner. Again, the other reviewer got it right when she wrote that it was if they had sanded down the entrie shoe. I could walk in my old Orthoheel thongs all day and would feel great. But not so with these Vionics. This is not Orthoheel. My pair is going back. Guess I'll try Merrill for now.

I used to love the Tide flip-flop by Orthaheel but these are not the same. The strap feels tighter and rubs horribly. They are not nearly as comfortable as they were.

The arch support was great and they look like normal sandals. However, these flip flops squeaked horribly when my feet warmed up!! Then they rubbed and create hotspots on the bottom of both of my feet. Thankfully I was able to change shoes before blisters formed. I would not recommend these shoes for anyone who is going to be outside in warm weather with them on.

I think more ladies are disappointed with the tide 11 than any other summer shoe. The old model had every thing right, and the new one has everything wrong.

The soles of these almost have too much arch support. It was painful for someone with plantar fasciitis and Morton's neuroma.

I had a pair of actual Orthaheel thong sandal that I bought 2 years ago. They were marked Orthaheel. These are made by Vionic with Orthaheel technology and don't fit nearly as well. The thong and part over the instep is so large that they are actually flip-flops and very uncomfortable. The arch support and heel cup are great but they just don't fit as well as the old ones.

With all of the rave reviews of the Vionic technology, I was expecting something great. While the arch support was above what most shoes have, that's all I can say about the shoe. Not comfortable, not attractive. Not keeping them.

I bought these in hopes that I could wear them around the house and my back would not hurt. However, I have a bunion on my left big toe and these shoes really make my feet feel bad.
