Bring back originals...when there is a sell out the product changes. It's not the same as the original. The heel is higher and the heel and arch support just isn't as good. I will wear them as no other alternative exists but not as comfortable or supportive.

The arch support was so large and stiff that within 5 minutes of wearing them my arches were hurting (which I've never had happen before).

Great shoe...but sadly the arch is way too high. And I have high arches. So I'm returning. Great quality and style though. Hard to walk in the flip flop style with such a rigid high arch support. Your feet move when walking with these as apposed to being held in, in a regular shoe.

These provide good arch and are nice color. The soles do not bend much resulting in clomping around making a lot of noise. I did not keep them.

Good News/Bad News! I love the anatomical base and they do make me walk well and without pain. But? What's with the shiny plastic strips, tacky at best. But my biggest complaint about Vionic is the molded base. You walk on some sort of plastic that makes my feet sweat and then I start to 'slide' around in my tongs like you do in a pair of cheap flip-flops. You really can't wear socks with tongs. I love the Orthaheel Technology but for the price, I want leather uppers and a leather footbed to walk on. And a nice shoe without anything shiny on it. Vionic, are you going to turn this wonderful foot technology into just another cheaply made product on the market?
I'd also recommend:
Birkenstocks - not very pretty but nice to walk on.

I tried wearing them around the house and they were uncomfortable. I tried getting used to them but just couldn't wear them in comfort. Thank you.

I agree with the other reviewers who said that this sole is different -- bring back the true Orthaheel sole -- there are hundreds of shoes on the market with okay arch support for people that need it -- Orthaheel was one of the few that had superior support for us unlucky ones who really need it!

I ordered these when they were just Orthaheel, before the "Vionic" and had them for 2 years. I put them through at least 5 seasons of constant wear. I was able to walk long distances comfortably. They were a bit heavy but very comfortable nonetheless. I recently ordered another pair, same size, same color to replace my old pair and I have found that the new "Vionic" pair seem to be slightly more narrow but this was not really a problem. The problem I have with this new pair is the top of the flip flop has already stretched out so much so that I find I'm changing the way I walk and clenching my toes just to keep these on my feet. This happened within the first few days of wear. I'm pretty disappointed. My last pair took forever to stretch out that much and that was with wearing them to the beach, pool and getting caught in rain. These have never gotten wet & like I said, they stretched in a few days what took 2 years for my previous pair to get to.

I was glad to see the Tide sandal come in white. I have 6 pairs of Orthaheel Tides -- love them all. This one, however, definitely did not have the same support that the others do. Also seemed a little flimsy.

I bought a couple pairs of Tide IIs last year and wore them all last summer and this summer. I bought these about a month ago. For some reason, the arch on these seems much higher than the old ones, but maybe that's because the older ones have compressed a bit with wear? I do not remember the earlier pairs having such high arches, to the point of being uncomfortable. The arch on this pair is so high that it feels like the bones of my forefoot are spreading apart. It makes me very hesitant to buy more Tide IIs. Also, the color is more prune-raisin than purple. I was hoping for a true violet-purple.

Footbed very comfortable for my aching pregnancy feet but the toe post is very uncomfortable. Sending them back. Also, the metallic pewter is just an ugly dull gray.

I purchased a pair of these a couple of years ago and these purple ones do not fit the same. The arch is higher and turned out to actually be painful and made me walk very heavily on the outside of my foot. The right shoes seems to pull my foot up and back. Seems like the shoe balance is off, but I noticed this with a different style I ordered too. The straps were too tight, I had to work the strap on the right foot on. Left was fine though. Just too tight. I know you're supposed to give these a longer break in time, but they were just to painful for me. Also the fabric isn't the same as the pair I bought a couple years ago, this pair seems cheaper and very scratchy. The footbed is different too, cheaper rougher plastic feel. When I bought my last pair they weren't Vionic. Not sure why the change but please go back to original.

Unfortunately I had to return these as the straps that go over the foot were way to big. The length seemed true to size but the straps, which are not adjustable, were not even touching my feet on the top and caused my foot to move around to much while walking. I do have narrow feet but don't think they are particularly thin so if you have thin to regular size feet you may the same problem. Otherwise it felt like they had good support and would have been a good casual daily shoe.

I only wear Orthaheel flip flops. I wear them summer and winter. They make my feet feel fine. This year I bought my 3 pair and I was surprised to see the style was different. They still make my feet feel great but I am not happy with the looks of them. They are not as cute as they were. Why don't they keep things that are good alone? I don't think I will buy them again.

These are cute sandals. Love the color which was easy to match with my clothes and swimwear. But I found that the top straps cut into my foot (maybe because of my high instep) and the fabric that slips between the toes is stiff and extremely uncomfortable. I do like the foot bed, so would like to try other styles that won't cut into the foot or irritate between the toes.

I was very disappointed in the Vionic Orthaheel sandals. Last year, I bought 2 pair of Orthaheel sandals. They fit well, looked good, are comfortable, and have terrific arch support. The Vionic Orthaheel sandals are very different. The same size sandals in the Vionic do not fit well, are uncomfortable, and don't have very good arch support. I'm sending the Vionics back and will look for the original Orthaheel sandals.

I really wanted to like these sandals, but they just did not fit me correctly. The size 10 had good fitting straps but the sandals were too short. The size 11 sandals were the correct length, but the straps were too loose and my feet rolled too much. Both sizes were too narrow for my feet. Years of Birks and Danskos have left me with comfortably wide feet. Otherwise they seemed good: great arch support, nice deep heel cup, decent cushioning, good colors - I liked the pewter and bronze metallic. I figure, though, that such expensive flip-flops should have a perfect fit!

I am actually disappointed with these shoes. The right one cuts between my toes and I need to put moleskin and/or a Band-Aid on before I can wear them. The left one is fine. I noticed that most of the Vionic shoes have the same little strap, maybe a soft leather would be better. I will not buy another pair.

I bought this shoe 2 years ago in another color and it fit perfectly. But the size is off for this color. What a shame because they are super comfortable.

So, usually with Orthaheel sandals, a size 10 was plenty. I haven't checked my old sandals, or my feet if they grew, but when I ordered the 10, I had the issue some other reviewers were talking about with the thong. It felt way too short and would be a problem. I returned them and ordered an 11. At first trial, these seem to fit better. I have walked in them yet, just a quick try! These flops look great though, if they fit you, you can't tell they're orthopedic - which is great, if you're a 27 year old girl who happens to dig arch and heel support without looking like a complete nerd.

These flip flops have a very high arch. I hoped they would be comfortable as I normally get blisters. The plastic by the thong actually rubbed my skin off. They were not the shoes I hoped they were.

I was just getting used to the unusual arch. It felt good. I am trying to treat my tendinitis when the fabric between the toes got to be just too much. If you have fat toes or issues with them, I do not suggest these shoes. Had to send them back.

This is my second pair of Vionics, the last pair providing years of support and comfort. I am not a fan of this new style, as the straps are shiny (not a fan) and, more disappointing, stiff. I was able to wear the old ones all day in most activities. These caused a blister after 45 minutes of walking around town. LOVE the support, but wish they would bring back the old ones!

During the past four years I have purchased eight pairs of the Orthaheel "Tide" sandal and enjoy every minute of wearing them. However, when I ordered a new color this spring I found that the previous Orthaheel company/technology was sold to Vionic who is now marketing this flip-flop as "Tide II". It may look similar to the previous model, but this new pair wears nothing like the other older shoes I have. The new Vionic Tide II is almost 1/2" shorter, 1/2" more narrow through the toe box, and the straps considerably more shallow than the shoes manufactured and sold by the original company, Orthaheel. To add insult to injury, this sizing change also impacts the placement of the arch support. By the way, even though the new shoe is smaller is physical size as it compares to the previous model by using less material, the price is still the same. How do you spell "price increase"?

I have two pairs of Vionic Tide 2. They are great and give me good support for my plantar fasciitis. This pair, however, must have been made differently because the arch support is terrible! Manufacturer's flaw perhaps.
