I was looking for a new pair of every day shoes, and had some very specific attributes in mind. The perfect shoe would be: - not a sneaker, but not an old man shoe - versatile enough to wear with everything from nice chinos to jeans - casual, but in a slightly upscale way - a little rugged in appearance, while still being refined, and un-clunky - stylish (in a classic way), without calling attention to itself - lightweight, and comfortable enough to wear around town all day - a high-quality item that will last me at least a few years After many hours of searching, I finally found the Copeland Chukka, and I have to say that it meets every one of my criteria. Taking them out of the box, the quality of the materials and the workmanship was obvious. Putting them on for the first time, they fit like a glove, without being at all constricting. And the icing on the cake is that the color (tan oiled full grain) is perfect, and they look _great_. Bottom line: I love them. I'm tempted to buy another pair. The one thing that made me hesitant at first to order them is the fact that almost all of the pictures of the shoe on the web make the tan oiled full grain look like it has a greenish cast. To my delight, that turns out not to be the case. They're definitely a dark tan, with a slightly reddish cast, not green at all. It's a beautiful leather.

Looks great with jeans

These look great and the style currently on sale is a perfect color for a pair of shoes that can still go to work or a nice event but break the various shades of brown color range. Somewhat narrow but the material and sole are so comfortable I can live with it more than I would with other shoes

This is one of the most comfortable shoes you will wear, with its memory foam padding and soft suede - it's like walking with a cushion around your feet. It is noticeably heavier than other leather shoes though. The rubber bottom of the shoe can get dirty easily and begins to look black. The suede will also require frequent cleaning and maintenance to keep looking spotless. Overall, I like it as a shoe to rotate for work on nice clear days, and would not try to wear it where it can get dirty.

These are perfect for the winter to have something sturdy underfoot. They work well with business casual or Jeans and a sport jacket. The leather is soft and supple and they are breaking in nicely, they have good arch support. I would like to see "fancier" soles but they only see the ground so that's low on the priority list.

I brought these boots as a slightly casual fall/winter boot to wear to work. They are very well made, glove soft leather lined, and even smell great.

Great shoe with jeans

I now have 3 pairs of Copeland Chukkas. They are the most comfortable and durable boots I have owned. I wear them to work on both professional and casual days and receive complements on them regularly. I also have to walk significant distances in these boots, and they remain comfortable. Excellent product.

This is the best chukka out there. All Johnston & Murphy shoes are comfortable, but this one is the best. I wear this shoe to work 3/5 days. Only complaint is I've had two pairs that the toe starts to separate on the sole but can be fixed with rubber cement (not ideal to happen, but at least it works)
